That's so crazy, I didn't even know the contractor guy was inside when he first started talking. Amazing!
Wow, and to think that people are still homeless, hungry, and thirsty in this world. Way to go rich people, you really know what's important.
That area is hardly short of water. What, do you think water should be shipped to deserts? ALL water used eventually evaporates to fall as rain again, so almost no water is "wasted"
That's in Macau, China if someone knows where it actually is.
In fact I grew up there. It's a pretty awesome place to visit!
I was born in macau! i think the Venetian in macau is suppose to be 2x bigger then the one in Vegas
Jesus, it's like a Death Star Casino!
I'm so there. XD When I have ample money to lose!
I agree with you in some ways , especially the 6.3million gallons of water. Some 3rd world country really needs it...
For the love of God, would someone PLEASE board up the thermal exhaust port?!
they making a new one in china :)
The Venetian Macao is a casino resort in Macau, China owned by the Las Vegas Sands hotel-casino chain.
ya it is the venetian macau very nice casino. Also went to the sands but they have metal detectors there.
Ballagio........I've been there before and it was great!
you all can call it a waste of resources and money, but it employs all of these contractors and artists, as well as giving the supply companies a ton of business. the real waste will be in ten years when they implode it for not being brand new.
They earned the right to know what's important.
The Pentagon is no where close to being the world's largest building. There are at least 5 other building that are bigger in terms of floor space. This hotel is one of them. The pentagon ranks number 7 in largest floor space not 1
yer its in macao. i live in hong kong and go over there from time to time - it really is a huge building, but there are other casinos in macao being built to rival it in size
Oh.
I thought it meant "bat yoot yee sup bat ho".
Like August 28th, not 828.
now their working on City Center and by the look and what i hear from ppl who are working on it
it will be even bigger... they still get lost and that just on one floor or even the 11 story garage underneath it
Gambling is a terrible addiction
There is one already in Vegas. Just like there's already a Wynn and Encore in Vegas, they are also in Macau.
Impressive!
It would be nice if they show the video of the grand opening scene. All those eager Chinese getting ready to rush the table and slots :)
las vegas !!
Whoa dude!
Dang!
It is a very large casino
nice
are the building real?
i mean the sky makes this room look closed.
No, this casino here is in China not Vegas. its supposedly the worlds second largest building.
god damn
all that water wasted!
no wonder our world is so low on fresh water resources
Macau, China
Love the casion, but waste of money much? I mean seriously, its a piece of art but gosh can they use that money for something more usuful ? =[
August 28 means lucky money in Chinese?
I never knew that...
"It's called resource management. Maybe go pick up a dictionary or read a book before giving an opinion?"
The cycle of evaporation is not an opinion it is a fact. Whether water evaporates from a man made lake or the lake that was the source of the water for the man made lake the sum total of water is the same...duh. I'd suggest that your learning curve is a little slow.
"Not everyone groups human beings into class system like yourself."
No, it's actually YOU who are grouping into classes by insisting that only money given directly to the poor to the rich is beneficial. I, OTOH believe that money is invested in society by business creating work for the poor. If you really believe that there is not a strong division in society based on wealth, then I'd have to ask what planet you're living on.
@laurabenavidez The bottom line for any business is profit. It's what make the world go round and, believe it or not, is the leading cause of ending poverty. Where do you think you salary comes from, people who are intent on taking losses to their business every year? Minimum wage or not (and I think that's arguable) the fact is that they provide jobs. Profit isn't a bad thing. Everybody that you will ever work for in your life is able to pay you because they make a profit?
i realize this one is in china but it looks like the venetian here in vegas.... same ceiling murals and all....
Play Diamond Towers @ DCS

No no guys, it's in Macau, China.

ciao,mi piacerebbe tanto lavorare in questo splendido casinò,come pizzaiolo italiano.
I'd like to be there.
okay
WHERE IS THIS CASINO?!
i think this is the venetian
"The point is that the money could have been invested in ways that are more directly beneficial to society"
I agree that it's all decadent bullshit, but people have the right to spend the money they earn on anything they choose. The majority of all money given to charitable causes is by the rich, and that goes for taxes too. That casino provides thousands of jobs to semi skilled people who would otherwise not have them. Quit with the class envy already.
wow u can get lost in there
@laurabenavidez yeah, so let's not think of the thousands of people who were given jobs and an opportunity to keep from becoming poor. While we're at it, let's go ahead and make an accusation against the people who built this without having any idea of what charitable contrabutions they have ever made. Yeah, shame on them.
@zachk1983 Shame on you for thinking that the minimum wage jobs and the tax deductable contrabutions they make, actually outweigh their bottom line profits. I'm not saying that there is absolutely no good that comes out of this; but you have to admit that the millions of dollars and loss of land that went into this project could have been put to better use. The bottom line for a casino is, in fact, profit.
Done! Aaaaand que earthquake.
WTF? It is a casino
las vagas nevada
lol. God Forbbid not gambling
Actually, I believe this one is being built in China by a guy from Las vegas.
