@Jerry Kayson Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I'm really glad you showed the part about it playing a little tune! I have an LG microwave that plays a tune when it's finished and it's my favorite thing so i was looking around to see if the washer and dryer also did this lol. Thanks!
Thank you for your great review. We bought the 5.3 capacity washer/dryer set yesterday. Picked up the matching pedestals as well thanks to your advice.
Good Job Lady...we paid about 3000 for both..any way. You did a great job..thanks . be honest we lear alot...some people like you share all this ...save ne time ... Very valuable information...
I love this video thank you! Custom PGM by the way is Custom program. aka most used cycle. So say I use timed dry but increase the time to the max, change temp etc you hold that button down to save the program. So when ever you want to select your most used program all you have to do is press that button and it will automatically load your favorite program. So i button press for favorite cycle instead of turning dial and changing settings. Thank you again for video!
If you have a chance, could you upload a video of one of your normal loads (the one you demo above is fairly light) and more specifically, what this unit like in the spin cycle? Most common complaints or worries when people look for Front Loaders, are leaks, stinks, and vibrations. That you've posted this 8 months later is awesome, and you don't make mention of leaks, which suggests at least to this point there were none. Stinks - You covered the the additional details about the clean-out and drain on the washer which is the first I've seen of it, which is great! So that leaves Vibrations. Thank you for this video, LG doesn't have them for all models, and in most cases its just their spit shine and polish to make the thing look good, so seeing real people's examples are awesome! Thx!
Thanks for the review. I have what I think is an older version (purchased in late-2014) of these, and they're still going strong. I did want to make a couple of observations that may or may not apply to others. First, as I am on a septic system, I have to be very mindful of what goes down the waste system, including from the washer (obviously). Consequently, I use "safe" alternatives to laundry detergent, softener and other fluids. But specifically, I typically use essential oils for both the softener (Clary Sage) and for the Tub Clean cycle (Tea Tree and/or Eucalyptus). And I undertake the Tub Clean at usually twice a month as the build-up can be substantial. Something for folks to consider. Second, some may not be aware that, at least with my units, there is a sediment filter mounted just inside each of the water inlet valves. I check/clean these twice a year, and recommend that others do the same thing.
What's working better to clean out you're washer, are to put a few tabs of dishwasher detergents with descaling in them, this will clean you're machine 100% but you need to use a 60°C or higher program..
I will have to look up the specs on this washer , but my lower end LG operates a bit different. On my washer, the load sensing feature does not determine water usage, but how much detergent to use. The water level is preset, and will fill, until it maintains the water level. Mine does not have the turbo wash feature, and must tumble continuously to get all the clothes wet. I also had to set it to use more water, because 12 gallons does not het clothes clean. I'll have to check out the new water level, but I'm sure it's closer to 20 gallons, and gets my clothes clean. As for the stuff Lowes left from the washer, were the shipping bolts and special wrench. Do Not throw those away. You need to rescrew those back in, when you move it to another place. They're used to prevent major damage to the drum, when being moved to another place, other than another room, on the same floor.
Thx for this video! My Maytag dryer just crapped out after 8yrs so looking for something sturdy and a little quieter and larger so this is very helpful! Thx!
I haven't seen a fabric guide on the steam washers and dryers. Do you avoid the steam option on fabrics that should be washed in cold water or only a cool iron used? Just bought the set and about to use it! Thanks.
beautiful machines, thats for sure! i love the LG design! I almost bought this set, but I went with the Samsung Active Wash with tub, top loader only because I had a newborn at the time and cloth diapered. This set though, may be in my future for my ext pair down the road. I need work beasts! hahaha LOVE the turbo wash!
My brother had that Samsung model and Lowes had to replace the entire washing machine two times with in 8 months. Does this washer work well with washing men's dress pants for work, khaki pants, dress shirts, etc.? Or do the pants get too wrinkled in the washing machine? I've only ever used a top load washer, but considering a front load washer. I have to wash a lot of work dress pants, work dress shirts, and khaki pants for school uniforms each week.

@@SA-yp3xh They recently updated this model to the $1,499 model. So yes its the right model, but it has a lot more features and a bigger tub capacity than this washer. If you can get the LG 5.2 cu.ft front load washer for roughly 300 dollars less, its also a really great option!

Right now i only have the parts, like the wrenches and extra hoses it came with. I have found that nothing really fits in that drawer. I used to store a few quilts in our old washer set pedestals and not much else. I liked the idea of have the mini washer for tiny loads, like when my daughter tells me after I have finished all the laundry that her school gym outfit needs to be washed. She always does that too! I only have queen sized bedding so I am not sure how big of a comforter it could accommodate. You might want to consider the larger tub size or check LG.com. They are a great company and usually answer questions pretty quickly. I hope this helps, if you have any other questions I will try to answer as quickly as possible. I really want to get this set because I live in an apartment with my dad for almost 8 years and I can’t put a washer and a dryer of our own because we’re not the owners of the apartment. The apartment comes with a basic washer and dryer. I do have a credit card with BrandsMart USA. And sometimes my clothes aren’t clean enough and dry as good.
Billy Knock if you keep up the the bi-weekly maintenance that it recommends then not to much. I drain it bi-weekly, wipe the tub and gasket and run a clean cycle once a month.
Steve Lightfoot: I'm assuming you're from Australia. I wouldn't know if they sell front loaders this size there. This is the North American set, and can't be used outside of countries that use 110/120 volt electrical system. I don't know if Australian models heat their own water like the European washers do. North American washers rely on hot water from the water heater.
Wow you said you got your set for $ 899 for both - I just bought mine & it cost me $ 2, 998 which includes the 4 year extra guarantee not 5 year guarantee like you received - however mine did not come with the hose & whatever tool you got - I guess it's a whole lot cheaper in the US than it is in Canada.
Thanks for the video I have this washer and dryer BUT no one seems to know how to use the functions. It would be nice if someone shows EACH function and how it works and for what does it work for. Apparently the IDIOTS at LG don't speak English and don't understand our culture and they just hang up on you. DISGUSTING. That's the world we're in. So basically you CANNOT use all functions for all settings. I wish someone would know how they work. We can't get anyone on the phone anymore to help us. LOVE IT BUT I DO NOT KNOW ALL THE FUCTIONS.
too much functions, which think are unecessary. the more basic, the better. that's why i always like speed queen. almost all of the components are metal. all of these crabs are mostly plastic.

Do you have any trouble with odors, mildew, etc.
Billy Knock if you keep up the the bi-weekly maintenance that it recommends then not to much. I drain it bi-weekly, wipe the tub and gasket and run a clean cycle once a month.
What are the demission in inch width and height..
Try www.google.com.
Can u put tide pods inside ?
GUS AGUILAR yes, DONT put it in the liquid detergent dispenser
Still working? Any issues?
Still working great!
Lovely very superb 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
WHERE can I buy this machine in SYDNEY NSW
Steve Lightfoot Amazon
Steve Lightfoot: I'm assuming you're from Australia. I wouldn't know if they sell front loaders this size there. This is the North American set, and can't be used outside of countries that use 110/120 volt electrical system. I don't know if Australian models heat their own water like the European washers do. North American washers rely on hot water from the water heater.
Great video....looking at this series for purchase now!
Today this set is $4,000!!!
At least there isn’t affresh propaganda because it’s lg
Made in Korea is just as good if not better than made in Japan these days.
Is very nice
Hehehe besides that small door on the bottom. I know is there because you...hehehe

These look way too premium
just give me a washer that cleans don't need all the bells and whistles
exactly! what the hell does the charms / music gonna do? keep it basic like speed queen and good components of metal, not plastic.
@@danielle8179 you're just jealous
Daniel Le ok ? Then move along. We all know you clicked on this video just to leave that comment
And none of the fancy led lights
Okay? Go buy it then. No one said you couldn’t.
4.5 is NOT ultra large. It's not even Large. It's considered medium.
You would need to take your concerns to LG as this is what it was marketed as when I bought it. Have a nice day ☺️
damn i just want to wash my clothes why it has so many buttons? looks more like a printer to me lol
Eazca🎉2
Thanks for the video I have this washer and dryer BUT no one seems to know how to use the functions. It would be nice if someone shows EACH function and how it works and for what does it work for. Apparently the IDIOTS at LG don't speak English and don't understand our culture and they just hang up on you. DISGUSTING. That's the world we're in. So basically you CANNOT use all functions for all settings. I wish someone would know how they work. We can't get anyone on the phone anymore to help us. LOVE IT BUT I DO NOT KNOW ALL THE FUCTIONS.
Rosa P if you go to LG.com all of the user manuals are on there for free
No washing machine
too much functions, which think are unecessary. the more basic, the better. that's why i always like speed queen. almost all of the components are metal. all of these crabs are mostly plastic.
LJ rubbish dumped by LG
What goes inside the pedestal
For the dryer
