Great discussion but to make it even better you should ask Sky to provide a digital screen which shows the highlights of the game you want to discuss which you can slow down etc. (like you do on Monday Night Football)
The big question for me as a gunners fan was the lack of any kind of plan from Arteta. I feel he placed too much trust in side to play as normal and produce some magic, when it's been clear since the Liverpool game that the season was catching up with us. We've got 2 very weak centre backs which City exploited brilliantly by playing direct football, often long, cutting out the high press.... football isn't rocket science. If we had moved to a back 3 with a heavy forward line and still lost, I'd be ok... but we just accepted that night we were going to lose.. no fight, no heart, no trophy.
Exactly what I was hoping to hear- Arteta needed to put in a Plan B, but he didn't. 442 or 451 win ugly had to be the plan but no dice Naive from him it must be said!
This man city of Pep will be remembered in history books the way every year Pep is able to fight for everything in an insane consistency performing year in year out, out of this world
Yeah now they just need new guests instead of making minor celebrities out of some of these fan channel numpties who really do not deserve this spotlight over and over again. Why do they just invite the same fans back over and over again? So boring. I would find this more interesting if they mixed it up a bit. I have zero interest for example in what that same City fan has to say, yet again. Is he their only fan????? Change it up, ffs, this is turning into a soap opera, which I find increasingly unwatchable..
Arsenal fans, Use me as an official apology to Gary Neville after you all laughed at him and the rest of the country when we smelt a bottling a mile off.
You didn't smell one fck when we were 2-0 up to Liverpool. You man were sweating. You rival fans make me laugh man. I saw people in that Liverpool game at 2-0 saying that's it Arsenal are gonna win the league. So how is that smelling a bottle from miles?
The problem Arsenal had was City changed their buildup for the first time in months. Usually they build with a back 3 and push Stones into midfield, but this time they built up in a flat back 4 in a 4-4-2. It discombobulated the press Arteta had coached into them in the preperation for the game, and you could see that with the amount of times City just transitioned through Arsenal with wave after wave. Second half Arteta changed their press and it contained them much more successfully, but the game was gone by then. It was a Pep masterclass.
That arsenal was always "why you picking us? Why do you hate arsenal" to Gary Neville before when he said he thought city would catch arsenal. Now it's happened, she should at least apologise to him.
He's good. Just how many people out there are going to be willing to input too much into a tactical analysis whilst Carragher and Neville are going full flow.
Also been saying allll season since he signed towards the end of last season Haaland is the most important prem signing ever, can’t think of another one with that much buzz about him and could choose any team in world football. Can’t think of another player ever to have joined the league in the same way. It’s like the prem signing mbappe or when Ronaldo went to Madrid. There was always a bigger fish than the premier league.
City have quality but until recently they wasn't fluid at all. Recently they've gelled and found their form... this is just truth. End of the day city went from everybody scoring to one person scoring. Recently though city have just changed. Best team out there.
I heard someone say this Arsenal vs City title race is like when you running against your little brother and you give him a head start(Jesus and Zinchenko) just to win right at the end 😂😂. Very accurate.
Saka had 2 or 3 player hunting as soon as a pass would come his way. The ball wasn't switched enough to Martinelli when those scenarios kept happening. Unfortunately they set traps for Arsenal and Arsenal didn't have the anticipation to be ready to move the ball quick the efficiently. Kudos to Pep.
Arteta could’ve won that match me thinks, in the FA Cup match against City, Arsenal were the better team despite playing with a weaker team and losing 1-0
great analysis. they r right. partey kept leaving his space, i feel as thought he wasnt fully fit. arsenal out of possession and the press sucked the energy out of them. credit too city. and yes they deliberetly targeted the cbs. i couldnt stop laughing LOOOOL you cant hate. pep outclassed arteta with simplicity.

Only if we played like champions in those three games, even an embarrassing loss against City wouldn't have mind us if we go n win the league.. But we BOTTLED it way before and City just put the final nail in our title hopes Coffin. Well played City and much deserved winners! 👏
From the beggining of the season center backs are afraid of Haaland. In West Ham game in 1. round you can see Ben Johnson (i konw he's not CB) refuses even to mark Haaland. For example there are some few games like Aston Villa game, Liverpool in EFL cup, Man United at Etihad, Palace at Etihad etc where he scored a goal and nobody was near him, center backs just doesn't want that challenge of playing against Haaland and potentially be embarrassed. Very few center backs played agressive and with some attitude and pride against Haaland this season, i can remember Godfrey from Everton, Romero when Spurs won 1:0 and maybe Jo Gomez when Liverpool won 1:0 but Gomez also made some marking mistakes in that game.
Yeah people are afraid of getting bullied or made fun of, if they lose the battle.. Haaland's own comments make more sense now too. He said VvD is the toughest defender he's faced.. He's played against Liverpool 5 times in his career, and the only time he's won, was when VvD wasn't playing.
@@salmonero6472 Partly that's because internet is available to everybody and everybody can become a meme. Don't get me wrong, Haaland is a one of the best players in the world and he's in team that absolutely suit him and he would score goals anyway, but with this fear factor of becoming a meme that's easier. Remember Charity shield when Haaland missed open goal, when everyboby maked fun of him? Timo Werner failed in Chelsea because of that people maked fun of him, after first couple months he lost his confidence.
In the last few games Arsenal should have started players like Trossard, Nketiah and Reiss Nelson ahead of Martinelli, Saka and Jesus.. They could have got in something different!!
Arsenal definetely should have shifted to play more defensively already when they were 2-0 up against Liverpool. Same against West- ham. Definetely against City from start.
Arsenal play a similar system with the 3241 but in every position Man City have more quality and more experience. Arsenal shouldn’t have dropped points to some sides this season but city going toe to toe and battering them twice does t surprise me
The modern day center half doesn't stand a chance against Haaland. Even if was playing 12-13 years ago against Vidic/Terry/Ferdinand/ Carvalho etc etc he'd still be a 30-35 goals a season center forward
When Watford were tearing up the championship we did similar football than city. Deeney would hold the ball and play through vydra, Ighalo and others and no one could contain us.
What connection is between tactics and being afraid? If you're afraid, you're afraid regardless of the tactics. Arsenal doesn't play well defensively as we've seen 2nd half against Lierpool, what wrong tactics!?
Compromising shape doesn't mean having to compromise principles of play. Arsenal could've played with a different shape & been more successful. The principles can stay the same. Also Arsenal were far too passive in the game as a whole, barely laid a glove on City.
The problem wasn't so much Holding. It was Partey. KDB was sneaking away from him all game long. Haaland was also dropping deep and behind Partey. Pep had these two take turns to exploit the space he left behind.
Problem was Arteta mate.. If Arsenal didnt play a high line, KDB would never get that much space and Halaand would have been dropping deep to be useless..
@@akeemguy7331 The high line didn't have anything to do with the space behind Partey actually. Actually if the line was deeper, there would've been more space between Partey and the defenders for KDB and Haaland to exploit. Arsenal had to press Man City otherwise they wouldn't see much of the ball. Plus you can't expect Arteta to deviate much from his playing style. After all he is a student of Pep.
@@seven92023 Bro what are you talking about? The space behind Partey was because of the aggressive press. No high line = no press = no space behind Partey because Arsenal should have been compact and not pressing high.. You cant go to the Etihad and play the way you play all the time.. That's the issue.. Especially when Arsenal havent been winning games, missing their best defenders... AND City is on form.. Dont get me wron.. I'm not saying to sack Arteta or anything. Im just saying by blaming players, you ignoring the tactical mistake of the game.. That last sentence I agree with..
@@akeemguy7331 Without the high press there would be more space between Partey and the defenders. The high press and high line exposes more space behind the defenders. @@seven92023 If you drop back and be compact how would there be space? What space in a low block? Arsenal went to the Etihad and tried to go toe to toe with City..

Can we turn the volume up next vid!! Cheers Gaz
Exactly what I was hoping to hear- Arteta needed to put in a Plan B, but he didn't.
442 or 451 win ugly had to be the plan but no dice
Naive from him it must be said!

Lol Pippa Monique annoying in her Arsenal takes but man what a gorgeous lady jeez...
Love this new concept of the show!

The battle between PARTEY and De Bruyne was fire. De Bruyne converted that center of the park battle into PARTY ground

This city fan makes buvey look insightful 😂😂
Like Arsenal and Manu fans😂
In the words of Buvey: it’s embarrassin
Buvey is a clown.
He's good. Just how many people out there are going to be willing to input too much into a tactical analysis whilst Carragher and Neville are going full flow.
Buvey is a wind up merchant, and he's top class. I don't understand how some people haven't realized this yet
I thought Haaland picked the wrong club jamie? He makes Man City worse?
Love it that Stephen reminded him of what he said
City have quality but until recently they wasn't fluid at all. Recently they've gelled and found their form... this is just truth. End of the day city went from everybody scoring to one person scoring. Recently though city have just changed. Best team out there.

Great analysis Pippa!
The lady was wrong about Akanji being the only defender to pocket Saka for the whole match because Ake did the same thing in the reverse fixture🤷🏽♂️
can you release these in full? so much better as long form content
Take a shot everytime Gary touches the board😂
Take a shot every time the overlap invites the same boring guests on.
Overlap is legit.
They all slated Gary for thinking City would win the league😭😭😭

As an Arsenal Fan got to admit, we kind of had a longer honeymoon period sitting at the top and we BOTTLED it by throwing 6 points since leading against Pool.. Only if we played like champions in those three games, even an embarrassing loss against City wouldn't have mind us if we go n win the league.. But we BOTTLED it way before and City just put the final nail in our title hopes Coffin.
Well played City and much deserved winners! 👏
Who are "Pool"? Silly plastic Arse fan.
Fascinating!
Neville must be buzzing with his only ever correct prediction
I don't see Pipa Monique on AFTV set these days... Is she still with AFTV?
Arsenal play a similar system with the 3241 but in every position Man City have more quality and more experience. Arsenal shouldn’t have dropped points to some sides this season but city going toe to toe and battering them twice does t surprise me
I thought haaland made city worse carragher? 😂😂
The modern day center half doesn't stand a chance against Haaland. Even if was playing 12-13 years ago against Vidic/Terry/Ferdinand/ Carvalho etc etc he'd still be a 30-35 goals a season center forward
Performances like this make a mockery of people saying pep isn't manager of the season!
Steven 🔥
Get buvey on instead of that Stephen guy, buveys way more entertaining.
Wonder what will be the outcome of the decision regarding breaking EPL rules for Man City ?
When Watford were tearing up the championship we did similar football than city. Deeney would hold the ball and play through vydra, Ighalo and others and no one could contain us.
Pippa looking humbled these days 😂🤡
What connection is between tactics and being afraid? If you're afraid, you're afraid regardless of the tactics. Arsenal doesn't play well defensively as we've seen 2nd half against Lierpool, what wrong tactics!?
I mean..who isn’t? Which team or player isn’t terrified of him.
Needed Buvey for this

De Bruyne is not "lightning quick". He's deceptively quick, but he's not rapid.
Is Carragher suggesting Holding should have committed a foul and collected a yellow card in the 6th minute? That too would have been horrible.
The gap behind Partey was because he kept losing KDB and the central defenders didn't know how to handle Haaland dropping deeper than usual.
@@seven92023 If you drop back and be compact how would there be space? What space in a low block?
Arsenal went to the Etihad and tried to go toe to toe with City..
Pundits trying to RUclips is painful sometimes
It was all lost because of the gap between defence and midfield, Partey couldn't do it on his own and Jorighno should have started or come on much earlier.
Is pippa still on aftv
The tactics for Arsenal were clear, do the exact same as before. What does Pippa mean? City just had a plan for them.
