I did my best trying to figure out things from beginner crochet books & made some round tablecloths, couple afghans & baby blankets but then got too busy with raising 3 babies. Then I had to go to work & had no time for anything. Now that I’m disabled I have discovered my love for crochet, especially with BagODay tutorials❣️ I don’t know what I’d classify myself as when it comes to crocheting? Thank you for your videos. They helped me find my happy place. Which is usually at the yarn store buying yarn then finding things to try and learn how to make. Getting better with each project and my toddler niece's and nephew think I'm the smartest aunt in the world. Last project a dinosaur hat. Far from perfect but the 2 yr old loves it. Current project a shoulder bag for the 6 yr Olds cell phone that she keeps losing in the house.

That is why so many of us are making things for the animal auction. We know you will love our donations, and the animal shelter will love the money. Many of us love animals, too. The animals may not know what is happening, but having good care and being saved is precious. Every animal is precious! So are you!😊

That orange and pink yarn is just gorgeous! I just saw in my feed a yarn from Bad Sheep Yarns called Hibiscus Sorbet that reminds me of this. It comes in all the weights but it’s quite expensive IMHO. But I’ve bought more expensive from Chandi, and I’m eyeing that pink colorway that you showed a couple of videos ago, that one is worth saving every penny for. That shine was incredible. But the Hibiscus Sorbet might be worth the $. And also the very thin yellow one could be paired with another fingering or a DK in a solid so you could use it, it’s so pretty too!

Because I learned how to crochet from you after being a knitter for years and years and I had no idea how to even begin to crochet and after breaking both wrists I was suggested by my PT to try it. Smelling yarn is SUCH an important skill for buying yarn!! I wish I had smelled some Red Heart Super Saver striped yarn before buying it at Walmart last week. Instead I waited until I got home and then smelled it … and omg, it nearly knocked me down. Smelled like … well, like vomit!! So weird!! And horrible. I let it sit out in the sun for a day but no go. Hubby thought it smelled like a dead dog, lol. So back it went to Walmart. So sad, because it was a gorgeous blue/tan stripe I hadn’t seen before. Anyway - all this is to say that from now on, I will act just like Crystal and wisely smell the yarn - BEFORE buying it whenever possible. Thank you, Crystal, for teaching us to smell! ❤😂

I was making a blanket for Project Linus and my granddaughter saw it and she wanted it so of course she got it and she is still using it today after all these years. My girl friend saw me making another one and it was her favorite color and she wanted it I finished it and gave it to her right before her surgery and she appreciated it and 6 months later I was visiting her and her dog is now using it on the floor as his bed I guess she didn’t appreciate it as much as I thought. I like the colors of the gold and orange, depending on the needle size will make a nice sleeve scarf. Pima cotton is the best but, the pink and orange are a beautiful color combination. I would love that in silk wool or alpaca wool. It will make a really nice Lacey yarn over summer top. I used to make them in the 80's with cotton. If it's very thin, double strand it. I'm like you Crystal, too small size needles with thin yarn, hurts my hands, wrist and upper arms. My Mom one time made the same Fishermans sweater in natural lanolin yarn from NH for me, my fiancé and my Dad. We called it our Clancy brothers sweater. It was torcher for her to knit as the yarn kept on braking. Sad to say I lost my Dad and Fiancé to Cancer, and the sweaters were chewed up my moths.

My 8 year old granddaughter has always lived pink and orange together. I made her a blanket and a curtain valance with some 2 weight I found.
I recently bought some baby alpaca from Webs and I’m half done with the blanket I bought it for. I’ve never been disappointed in my orders from webs other than the weights aren’t always what I expect 😊

That orange and pink yarn is just gorgeous! I just saw in my feed a yarn from Bad Sheep Yarns called Hibiscus Sorbet that reminds me of this. It comes in all the weights but it’s quite expensive IMHO. But I’ve bought more expensive from Chandi, and I’m eyeing that pink colorway that you showed a couple of videos ago, that one is worth saving every penny for. That shine was incredible. But the Hibiscus Sorbet might be worth the $. And also the very thin yellow one could be paired with another fingering or a DK in a solid so you could use it, it’s so pretty too!

Miss Rose has good taste. My absolute favorite flower has always been the orange carnations with the pink in the center.

Smelling yarn is SUCH an important skill for buying yarn!!
I wish I had smelled some Red Heart Super Saver striped yarn before buying it at Walmart last week. Instead I waited until I got home and then smelled it … and omg, it nearly knocked me down. Smelled like … well, like vomit!!
So weird!! And horrible. I let it sit out in the sun for a day but no go. Hubby thought it smelled like a dead dog, lol. So back it went to Walmart. So sad, because it was a gorgeous blue/tan stripe I hadn’t seen before.
Anyway - all this is to say that from now on, I will act just like Crystal and wisely smell the yarn - BEFORE buying it whenever possible.

I was catching up your videos, because I've been really sick for a few weeks. I have been checking daily to see if you've hit 1 mil 🎉. I was shocked to see that somehow I was no longer subscribed to you after almost 5 years! I immediately resubscribed. Then I checked my old account. It to was no longer subscribed. So since I got pissed at RUclips for their shenanigans I went onto my Mom's account and both my daughter's account. Maybe, mention to everyone to check their subscription? I was making a blanket for Project Linus and my granddaughter saw it and she wanted it so of course she got it and she is still using it today after all these years. My girl friend saw me making another one and it was her favorite color and she wanted it I finished it and gave it to her right before her surgery and she appreciated it and 6 months later I was visiting her and her dog is now using it on the floor as his bed I guess she didn’t appreciate it as much as I thought. I do appreciate all of your videos and the new stitches you are teaching me. Thank you so very much!!

The pink and orange are right up my alley. I love peach and it looks great with the pink
I like the colors of the gold and orange, depending on the needle size will make a nice sleeve scarf. Pima cotton is the best but, the pink and orange are a beautiful color combination. I would love that in silk wool or alpaca wool. It will make a really nice Lacey yarn over summer top. I used to make them in the 80's with cotton. If it's very thin, double strand it. I'm like you Crystal, too small size needles with thin yarn, hurts my hands, wrist and upper arms. My Mom one time made the same Fishermans sweater in natural lanolin yarn from NH for me, my fiancé and my Dad. We called it our Clancy brothers sweater. It was torcher for her to knit as the yarn kept on braking. Sad to say I lost my Dad and Fiancé to Cancer, and the sweaters were chewed up my moths.
