Happy Enough with Browne as he’ll bring the experience we are lacking in midfield and will no doubt help the younger players develop so it can only be a good thing especially considering we got him on a free.

In 10 seasons at PNE he has scored 40+ goals. It works out about 4 goals a season. Also based on the number of his appearances it works out at a goal every 10 games. A goal threat? I don't think so

@@philipnapier3585 well done some more research as he was player of season at Preston and they reckon he's a gem and goal threat 🤔👍

@@malcolmdonnison3987player of the year does not automatically make you a goal threat which is what you imply. There have been numerous players of the season and also PFA player of the year who were never considered by supporters or managers as a goal threat. Example Norman Hunter, player of the season more than once and PFA player of the year who scored only 21 goals in over 700 games (about one a season), then there is Pat Jennings, player of the season and also PFA player of the year. Who would ever describe him as a goal threat. I will give you one more example nearer home, Colin Todd. One of Sunderlands all time greats. He won player of the season I believe at Sunderland and Derby but scored only 11 goals in over 600 appearances ( not even one each season). Obviously Browne was highly rated .by PNE and it's fans but did opposition teams rate him as a goal threat - doubt it. When he played against Sunderland did any Sunderland fans say " I hope they mark Browne good as he's their biggest goal threat" In fact I doubt many Sunderland fans had even heard of him till there was interest in signing him

@@philipnapier3585 wen jobe scored 7goals this season was he not a goal threat?? Brown has a decent no of assists and played passers thru to players so they could score . That's where the goal threat term comes from . Preston fans reckon he's a gem and I was quite impressed with his distribution in games I've seen him play in and unlike many I am prepared to give him a chance to link up with his midfield teammates and provide an impetuous to drive the team forward 😁👍

Hi Wayne, long time since I posted but yet another great vlog mate. I've kept me mouth shut till I had somethin' to say.
I find it ironic we let our player of the season go last year and now bring in Prestons player of the season !! I do hope he hits the ground running and we sign players to help HIM shine for us. Kept Rigg,,,massive for us as as our new coach has big plans for him, Jobe also. I think we'll see a far different team than the dross that ended 16th, also it'll be massive to keep Patto..No complaints considering how long it took to get a coach in who actually wanted to come.
As for the Spain game, I'm sorry but I see a 3-0 defeat unless S'gate has the bottle to use the subs earlier, or drop some of his favoured players. Hope im horribly wrong about it, but Spain have been head and shoulders above everyone the whole tournament.
Lookin forward to yer next vlog Wayne, good luck mate. 👍

Fantastic signing, on a 3 year deal which is really good cos even said myself at the age of 29 he'll have another 3 or 4 years left in him, he'll bring a lot of experience and leadership which we've lacked and u know me I do love experience so very happy with this one, unless we get someone older like a Norwood for example, I say just give the captains armband to Browne, hopefully a few more experienced signings here and there and a big money to be spent on a quality striker and I still think we could do with another CB, preferably someone on the same level as Ballard to be his new partner, if we address all that then we could be in for a very good season

Like you, I hope we get a couple more 'generals' on the pitch with him and not leave it all down to him to try and organise our bunch of kids.
      Feeling my optomism returning,,,lol.😅

I'm old enough to remember Alan Brown (mk1) plus AB the manager (both times). He's a decent signing, realistically we couldn't do much better, loads of experience, fit and a good engine. I see him as a spoiler in front of the back 4 allowing Neil, Ekwah. Embo and Rigg (whoever) to do the work and Jobe to play as a 10 further forward.
The final on Sunday? Head says Spain will have too much and our luck can't last forever, so I'm going 3-1 to Spain. 😢
My heart hopes England anything - Spain 0.

What would your favoured midfield be then? Me? I would like to see Rigg holding, Browne and Neil attacking and Bellingham as a 10. It's going to be tricky for Regis what with the current squad and trying to keep everyone happy.

@@DHall-xz7keFrom what I'm reading into it, that seems to be the plan as Rigg can run with the ball take men on and isn't frightened to shoot.
The one person who hasn't had much said about him is Ekwah. He had a torrid season but may be ready to play like he did during our 1st season back,,, but where would he play if his midfield is taken off him ??

    • @DHall-xz7ke
      @DHall-xz7ke 18 дней назад +2

@@bradpalmer2953 Agreed, Ekwah will need to step it up considerably to tind a way into a Browne, Rigg, Bellingham central midfield. No doubt Rigg will have been promised plenty of first team minutes to get that contract signed.

Seems obvious to me that he's a replacement for Cory Evans but a better, younger one with a good history injury wise, should be a good signing for the club from what I've heard about him. Next on the priority list is a couple of front men with a good scoring record Mr. Speakman so get your finger out because failure in that department again is unacceptable.
