Dear Team LN,
I have to admit, having partnered with Njeri wa Migwi on several shows, I never knew she had gone through so much.
How can a woman who rescues so many peolpe be so selfless knowing very much she was facing her own demons.
To me Njeri has become a sister, a friend and someone whose work I truly admire.
As we get to listen to her story, please see how best we can also support her initiative, Usikimye, a safe safe for victims of Sexual and Gender Based Violence through

Njeri Wa Migwi's story is so incredibly sad 💔😥 I am glad that she was able to get out of that Toxic Marriage, strong enough to save so many victims through #Usikimye
Let's come together & hold her up by supporting her initiative. God bless You Njeri Wa Migwi. Thank You Lynn for this show. 🙌💕🌻
Njeri is so beautiful ..veeeeerry
Physically and at heart
Lynn pia kuna their M-changa i use it often & its handy for diaspora ❤🎉
Hey lynn nakupenda bure
I have looked at this lady the whole interview, her smile, her composure... Everything about her is absolutely beautiful. I wish she would smile at the mirror and see how beautiful it is. She's incredibly strong and am happy she's found her peace. 👏👏👏👏
Honestly yes. Infact if Njeri is ugly, what does beautiful look like?
Her eyes are cuuuute....her face in general is pretty 😍 she is gorgeous
She is beutiful and lovely and amezing
@@degrahomambia1599 amazing and she is the best
I was thinking the same. She has a SMILE that lights up a room. She is just BEAUTIFUL
Your dad is the best.. he never badmouthed your mother to you guys and, instead, focused on nurturing you the best way he could. Salute to him and other single fathers who make the difficult choices to be with their children
keyword "difficult choice" I honor such men too ❤️
My dad was the best I really miss him much
Lynn, this lady Arlene, that's what I call her...took me in with my 3 kids when I was struggling in ministry. She took very good care of us. feeding us, clothing us. I remember there's a term she paid my kids fees. She loved us through that difficult time. She went out of her way by helping me get my own house. Njeri has a very big heart, all this she did for me while struggling with the abuse of her x husband. Am so happy for you Arlene. That you can now talk about it, means you are finally free to reach out to many more Njeris. May God continue lifting and using you..Shine on gal👏👏👏💪💪💪
May she stay blessed
awwwww
💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏
Oh my God,what abig heart ❤
❤
The dad wears the crown for me! He stood by the daughter through the biggest storm of her life. And happy the she finally be herself.
The husband called her ugly because she was pretty. He’s a insecure abuser.
You boosted ur husband ego by not leaving. That's what narcissists feed on
Absolutely
I know Njeri personally, we met in our 20s in church and had no idea she's gone through so much. Only knew about her baby girl's premature birth and miracle healing. I'm glad that you've come out strong and are still bubbly and have not lost your sense of humour. My dear Njeri, you're beautiful inside and out. Thank you for speaking out and for what you are doing to help others. Kudos 👍👏👏👏
L
So who s this husband? Lets c his name
I love this lady she's just fantastic , she has a big heart too with lovely eyes
I think Njeri's first husband should be sued for attempted murder and abuse. He deserves to face the law. Njeri is also entitled to 50% of the wealth they acquired together. I don't know about the law in Kenya but this story is very upsetting that he got away with everything. Well done Njeri your future is in the hands of God. God loves you. Keep up the good work.
Kenyan courts are very very slow and corrupt . Assuming she gets her day in court- which is a very expensive process, her ex will claim he provided solely for the children. Since the law in Kenya needs both parents to provide, it will be assumed that he covered her part. Therefore he owes her nothing. It's sad. But I tell every woman in Kenya, to ask and know the legal aspects of marriage and divorce BEFORE the marriage
It might seem he has gotten away with everything but I assure you, he will pay for everything. Vengeance is the Lord's.
@@dottynight Thanks for the update. I am writing from South Africa and did not know the law is different in Kenya. Very sad indeed. The system needs to be revised. The story leaves those who aspire to get married worried about the future.
@@BRiGHT-CHilD Yes, I have seen it happen over and over again. Indeed vengeance is the Lord's.
Yes the beautiful woman he got married to...is most likely the one who will send him to his grave. He keep thinking all women will be dominated like his first wife, but he will be very wrong.
Or God might make him eat grass like the king in the Holy Bible.
How can anyone not love this woman.... She is phenomenal and an entire powerhouse
God loves her most ✌️
True she is phenomena
That's exactly why....he could not handle her value
“Just because I come from brokenness doesn’t mean I can’t hold a home together.” Those words… only one who comes from a background of brokenness would know how true & loud they ring to the ear.
But that brokenness is what has caused her to be victimized by abusers over and over. From husbands to cousins conning her.
You're right. At 48.... married once for about 2yrs. And I'm proud to be single.
So true
Please l want to meet you or give your number.

I hv nvr come across a woman praising her dad 4 bringing her up single handedly like this woman, thats a plus + 4me.kudos
Most men don’t do that but I am sure those brought up by single dads appreciate that more than ever because it’s not the norm in our African society
There is a time my mum left for 2 years and dad ( may his soul rest in peace) took good care of us. Had the best dad in the world.
I always do! Always and may he rest in perfect peace
@@Canadianlove they do it just that they don't mehemehe about it like women. You will be surprised
Me and my other siblings were brought up by my dad after my mum die for 10years before he remarried,so there are wonderful men doing great job out there..
OH MY GOD, SHE WAS MARRIED TO A NARCISSIST. THANK GOD SHE IS FREE
It's sad am watching this a week after we buried a 33 year old in our village who committed suicide coz she was tired of her husband's emotional/ verbal abuse. She kept telling her friends, NIMECHOKA NA MATUSI.
She didn't have to die. If it's not working, PLEASE LEAVE.
I wish one day I'll get the strength to tell my story because seeing this takes me back to it (same script different casts) so many women are six feet under because they didn't walk away and I almost became part of that statistic...I hope women love themselves enough to walk away from abuse.
Men go through the same too. I know a lot with similar story.
May God give you the grace and strength 💓.
What an incredible human being🤭🙄
Njeri, you are beautiful inside out.Push forward and never never go back to abusers.
Make yourself comfortable with yourself and your children🙏🏿
You got out and that was a brave move. One needs more than strength to do what you did.

Thank you Njeri, from today I’ll try my best not to hurt any woman. It’s so sad that some people develop trauma bonding, instead of leaving the abuser.

She is beautiful I can tell
Thank you and pray to God to help you

Omg this woman, i saw her at some poetry event.and i loved her!!her personality, confidence wow.cant believe a man tried breaking her confidence and she still came out on top

Nothing hurts a person's more than verbal and emotional abuse. It lowers one self esteem and value on oneself. Thanks Njeri for standing in the gap for all those going through any form of abuse.
Your story has triggered so many emotions but one day I shall live to tell my story.

There is always pain behind 99% of smiles. The rejection she faced while young is her greatest undoing
Why did that man tell Njeri wa Migwi that she is ugly? She is beautiful. I loved every minute of this show. What an amazing lady, mother and mother of 4 cats. Initially I got to know her because of our love for cats, then I discovered her organization and the great work that she does. Amazing woman she is.
Because he is a monster and was insecure. That’s what controlling abusers do. They try to lower your self esteem and then they isolate you from friends and family.
True she's beautiful
“Leave tables where love is not served“ powerful words !!!
Njeri you are beautiful inside and out !! God bless you and continue to direct your path . 🙏🏿
I remember this lady. She was so bubbly and told me the story of her daughter and that story stayed with me. This story has really touched me. Your dad is an angel
I’m not even Kenyan…so I couldn’t understand Swahili. I finished the whole video…I laughed, cried and I learned. She’s deeply courageous and she’s a true gem 👏👏👏👏👏.Njeri you are beautiful❤️👏👏👏👏👏.
I thought this is in English except for only a few phrases here and there
@@ladysafari01 oh yes. It's English...I should've been specific of course in my comment. Also I think I was also thinking about the other videos I watched that same day that had a lil more Swahili in it. But anyone can understand the progression of the story when they switch back to English later on. I understood and enjoyed them all at the end. And I noticed some also have translations so it helps. Have a good day.
This is soo touching.A clear evidence that material possessions do not really equate to a good life in some circumstances.

And ..."is he a goat 🐐??🤣🤣🤣
Those people out there calling single mothers names without even knowing how difficult it is to walk out of their marriage should now relate to this story. Before a woman walks out of her marriage she has seen it all, think twice before you call that single mother names..
Break up is not an easy thing but my dear happiness is a choice....if you are in a relationship to pliz the other one and in your side you are not happy it's good you quit....
Exactly. Most people insult and abuse single mothers not knowing exactly what these women go through.I wish people would learn to be kind to single mothers instead of being abusive
@@dancynancy8854 my point is single mothers should be respected not call them names, they have already gone through a lot , they leave to look for peace..
In her case, she was a single mother from the start. She never legally married the man. She ran away from home and stayed there, even parents didn’t bless this marriage (from her own admissions). Once again; when you do things out of the will of God, bad things happen. When you disobey your parents like she did, bad things happen. If she had taken her time to grow up, she won’t have chosen this man. But the choice was hers and she made it, and it led to some horrible consequences.
@@Jojo-pv3uf you’re so silly
You are incredibly amazing Njeri. I love that you haven't wasted your pain but by the grace of God have turned it into a mission for saving others in related circumstances. Working with women in addressing ACES and trauma has taught me that, trauma bond is the real glue that sticks a victim to the abuser and it's the hardest to break in domes abuse and violence. I wish you the best as you continue to heal. I can totally relate. I am walking on this path too for self and with fellow women. Keep at it as long as it takes. I thank God every time I see someone get to rise above their story!❤️. Keep up the good work
Thanks Lynn for having Njeri. Keep up the good work too.
Her smile is beautiful....it's easy to believe something when it's constantly said to you even when it's not true and one thing she believed is that she's not beautiful and that for sure is a lie. She's one beautiful woman both physically and heart wise. Am so glad she finally decided to let all the hiden pain out...speaking up to all that she's carried all this time was a goo dc decision...Am proud of her
This woman is beautiful the man she got married to had his own insecurities...toxic people can infect you with negativity
I just want an hour with these two amazing ladies. To cry uninterrupted, tap from their wisdom, refocus and get my life back together. Until you're abused this never makes sense. I mean this gives me chills down the spine. I wasn't physically abused but all the emotional abuse, mental abuse reflects on your body.. how ended up on anxiety pills till now will remain a story.

I have had a nasty narcissistic experience this year and this is such an eye opener. It is super hard to leave an abusive person because of the bond. They hurt you with their words and only they can heal you with their words. It's messed up its hard to believe that such things happen. Sorry Njeri. Glad you can talk about it.

No. Only God can heal you with His word. You don't give those people that much power.
But she is so beautiful...her smile ,her eyes...she is amazing with a heart bigger than any one else I have met
It may take years to walk out of marriage. It is the hardest thing to do.But that feeling of peace means everything.
I am really encouraged by the role her dad played in her life. He knew she wasn't in a good place and so did everything to support her to go back to school. Even to the extent of taking care of her young son. I APPLAUD YOU DAD 👏 . An example to every parent to support their children no matter their stubbornness. Gifty from Ghana 🇬🇭
Lynn asking her “you are working towards what?” As a survivor of horrendous domestic abuse… It is very hard to think of self love or being beautiful…. Particularly when you have been told you are ugly & no one will ever love you.
