That´s one piece of perfection. Storytelling, humor, timing, character design ( the face expressions ). 1: 36 as the dog comes around the corner and looks for an eyeblink in direction to the viewer - priceless.
Having to watch this more than once, this was simply _priceless,_ and beyond amusing! ... The dog depicted here _had_ to have been but a beagle! Growing up, our family owned (at different times) three female beagles, the last of which we had was named Sara. Sure enough, other than being able to go out for daily walks, _food,_ of any kind, was most definitely her biggest - if not sole - reason for being the greedy li'l 'Pig-dog' beagle she so inadvertently imbued upon others. As downright intelligent (at figuring things out for themselves) as they naturally are, I couldn't help imagining 'Sara' in this very particular 'short': i.e. starting out, covertly pretending first to be a friendly 'bystander', only then to eventually outwit both the patron, as well as the sniffed-out goal - the bag of chips itself! Still thinking of you often, Sara - even after all these years - you were perhaps my best, and loyal, friend I ever had ... _Requiescat in pace._
I have a Boxer/Redbone mix that is the ultimate counter-surfing ninja. At 70# she is totally silent, and you will find nothing disturbed on the counter. Not even the now empty dish will have been moved.
Bloody brilliant. Sort of reminds me of the time when a couple of mates were sitting on stools at the bar. One guy had a dog, with the lead looped around the leg of his bar stool to keep the dog close by. All of a sudden, the stool went sideways, and the guy crashed to the ground, losing his pint of ale in the process. Apparently the dog had been lying down intently watching a spider walking across the flagstone floor of the pub. As soon as the spider went out of sight behind the bar, the dog went for it and in turn snatched the stool away.😂
this was so incredibly done! I was giggling like a little kid! Loved when he was trying to chew quietly. His little tail, and the NOSE, Omg!! It was adorable!
friggin hilarious! I just met a dog EXACTLY like that at a pub in Chepstow! It was crowded and I get to the bar, and there he was standing at the bar with his paws on the ledge as if ordering a drink!
This is an example of simple triumphing over complexity; animation-wise. Brilliant little story with just a few strokes of the pen? Well done, concept-thinkers and animators!
I love these type of hand drawn animations, it’s much more better than the smooth computer generated animations. Well done for creating this I thought it was excellent many thanks. From the UK 🇬🇧👍
Very skilled cartooning, proving that capturing movement and nuanced exaggeration (I know, sounds like a contradiction) is an artistic skill only someone who can draw can really know how to do. Love the way the pub's drawn, the glasses, pumps, and the blokes too.
As I watched this video/cartoon, I was laughing a lot, because it reminded me of a Great Dane that we had when I was young, who was incredibly successful at nicking the ice cream off of the top of peoples cones, if they were being inattentive..!..!..!.. And more often than not, we didn’t know about it, until we heard the complaints about the missing ice cream, which should’ve been on the road if it had fallen off..!..!..!.. Eventually, we had to keep him away from crowds of grockles, especially when they were standing around an ice cream van, or the door of the local ice cream shop, and he must’ve looked forwards to the holiday season, which was the only time he could get away with doing this..!..!..!..
I’ve watched this several times now and I shall watch it more times. One of the best.
If Pubdog became a regular feature I for one would watch 'em all.
Dog moving her/his tail= happiness for me!!!
THAT, is good cartooning, I did chuckle at the dog's antics!

Errr… what country are you in? Every country I’ve visited in the last 3 month, in 2024 (that’s about about 8 or 9 if them) has newspapers for sale.

Only a dog lover could have animated this as well. Timing is perfect.
Brilliant Comment. 🎉
So cute and well done! Nailed the dog attributes. I lost it when the cane started moving towards the patron.
Dale, when did you get out of the institution?
Another RUclips algorithm piece of gold, took 10yrs mind you but worth the wait. Keep'm coming YT
Like wise.

Lol! I have 5 too, and this really captures their essence. Mischievious all!
I've had five too. Down to 3 now.
You don't have 5 dogs, they have you....idiot.
I have a cat. Leaving nice food on the table is not a good idea!
Dog truly is man's best friend.
I'm so glad YT pointed me to your brilliant little animations. Thank you so much.
I’ve seen this a few times, and it always makes me laugh. Any dog owner will relate to this lol
The thumping of the tail had me laughing out loud ! Animator must be a dog parent!!
why this has only 2.2M viewa. Where are all the dog people? This is priceless!
I've got a cat like that, always trying to sneak a treat, then acting like "nuthin' here!"
Thanks forever for giving me the laughter!!!!!
My labrador Harriet had a liking for other people's crisps at the pub.
That wagging tail abd face exoressions are great❤😂

Well, the dog took his cane.
Love the stealth eating 😂

Beautiful! You can tell the author’s best friend is a dog. I love it.
His head beaten on the table ...the funniest part in this ...laughed too much🤣🤣
Very well done. Great timing with the sound.
Absolutely brilliant! More please.
The whole thing is brilliant! The sound is as important as the animation. Whoever did this knows dogs, too!
Very very funny !!! I have a dog like this and i love him.
That's absolutely georgious!
I love how the dog can act so innocent like when crunching the crisps. I had a dog named Griffey who was just like that.
It's a cartoon, you moron. That means it's not real. Grow up.
Hilarious 😆.I used to bring my Rottweiler into a pub& she would just sit & watch.😆
