My mother always boiled a turkey, then used the stock for her dressing. She put the cooked turkey on top of the pan with the dressing, basted it with butter and put it under a broiler until there was browning on the turkey. What a delicious meal!! Our family loved it. Thanks for the video!!
Thank you for this, I'm tryin to decide on boiling a turkey breast. Ya made me laugh when you said you forgot to bake it, I can totally understand that 😂
You had me going lol. I would like to boil just the turkey breast part no legs no wings . My husband bought the turkey trying to help . He bought the breast only since it was just the 2 of us. Enjoy your blessed day and thanks for sharing.
Dude...go buy a lid for you pot! Lol! I make traditional things, in an untraditional manner. Going to try boiling, dry rubbing, and then roasting mine this year. Happy Thanksgiving!
@@nancyalvarez4206 I put mine on a low fire once it started boiling then let it cook low and slow over night bout 5 hours ON LOW probably cook faster if I cook it on high but I want it Juicy and Tender
You don’t need to submerge the whole turkey, the steam will cook the cook the upper part of the turkey nicely, that’s what I did last year, worked well and I’m just what I’m doing again right now
@@AI_Educator This a old video it was my first time boiling a turkey I tried the stem in the pot method and I happen to like this way better so seasoning is all the way through the whole turkey 🦃 so it doesn’t have to sit and marinate for hours
@@umekajackable fantastic. Gonna make more. .69 cents a pound. Gonna get two more turkeys. Our leaders seem to be dragging us into World War III so it’s turkey time in honor of their efforts..
How come you're the only one boiling a turkey in the whole web. My plan is to roast 10min at the end in a very hot oven. Poached chicken is a famous dish in china but I don't see anyone poaching turkey which would make total sense to keep it all moisg and juicy
