Love my 2010 odyssey. Had a 1999 before and plan on getting a 2016 for my wife as soon as we are done paying off the 2010 next year. Honda makes a fine mini van that is second only to a luxury vehicle in terms of practicality luxury amenities and comfort. Not to mention it doesn't suck to drive and in my opinion has always(post 1999) been the best styled vehicle in its class.
I totally disagree about road noise. I have an EXL 2008 and a friend had the equivalent Sienna loaded. The Odyssey is every bit as quiet and more in my opinion. Also, just like my 2007 4runner limited, the seats in Sienna suck for anyone who isn't a small person. The Odyssey is so comfortable you're almost afraid you'll fall asleep. It's also much faster. I own both brands, but there's only one van!
We love out 2010 Odyssey. the one in this video looks a little older in that it doesn't have the on board navigation .. the only problem is the to update the map in the memory of the car $$$$$ we'll just use google maps on our smart phone for navigation. .. and once we get out phone to digital input we'll be streaming our movies from the phone to the DVD player inside
they say the sienna is the lexus of minivans and the odyssey is the BMW of minivans, i've driven many of them, have a 2002 odyssey exl and i agree 100% you can't go wrong with either one, both are great vans
The Odyssey is fun to drive and handles well, as for road noise, there isn't a lot, but I drive with the radio on so I don't hear it. I have a 2010 Touring with regular tires, AMEN...
I had a 2006 Odyssey EXL with Navi and Res for 4 years the new Sienna and the old Sienna were quieter, We traded our Odyssey for a 2011 Sienna XLE. The Ody handles better, the Sienna rides better. Both the Ody and Sienna are great van, you can go wring with either one.
This does not look like a 16 year old design now. I first rode in one of these when I was 12. How am I 28 now?! (by the way, I don't have an Odyssey but I do have a 2011 Accord sedan... still the same Honda quality) Comment posted January 14, 2021 4:25 am
Honda buyers be aware. Big hassles ahead! I had electrical problem with my 2011 brand new Odyssey EX-L, with less than 300 miles on it! It has been in dealer's service for 4 days now, still not fixed. Honda service rep told me some parts start deteriorating within the first 200 miles! I filed complaint with Honda America. They don't care. The rep did not return my call after 3 days. When he called, he wouldn't even acknowledge it is Honda's fault, let alone any help.
boring to drive whistles loud cramped third row wines when you turn thirsty for nothing lack of transmission quality and fill ups tons of recalls stupid names ex. magic seat etc.
Varun M Agreed! I am buying a third odyssey next year. Mine(2010,1999) have never "whined when they turn" and the transmission issues were fixed during the 1999-2004 model run. Probably had suspension issues in the one you drove, but scheduled preventative maintenance and not cornering it like a sports have kept my Odysseys in tip top shape for years of daily driving and road trips alike with only one notable repair. The fuel pump in my 1999 went out in 2014 after over 200k miles and 4 owners. That ain't bad bud. Maybe you just need to take better care of your cars ;)
thumbs up for ODYSSEY.am using it for 5 years now.i so love it.
ney franco 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Now, THIS is a review... A lot of practical information that can help people decide on which minivan to buy...

I did not see my self in a mini van, but now i cant see me without my (2006)oddyssey🤗 cant wait to upgrade to a 2018 😍
Any major issues? I'm considering one but have heard of transmission issues
@@terrancesneed3757 the 2005 to 2007 models have had problems with the transmission but the rest are fine.

Very good video,thanks to share.
I found the odyssey more quite than the sienna, still driving our 2007 with 214000 miles and its just fine.
At 2:47, it looks like the seats are too low to fit for the man. How can the third-row seats fit adults?
Thank you
im 21 and i want this van!!!
I love my Dads Odyssey it has over 200,000 miles still going strong
Good review

I'm gonna be getting one when I move out of my parents house.

That is unusual for a Honda. I hope you resolved the issues.
Huh? My Odyssey is quiet.
@etoyotarockshsucks he ownds a accord
No mention of it's glass transmission.
the sienna still the top of its class
the oddysey needs AWD
boring to drive
whistles loud
cramped third row
wines when you turn
thirsty for nothing
lack of transmission quality and fill ups
tons of recalls

Tim's gaming and tech Shut up. I have 2 Odysseys and they are good

Tim's gaming and tech that last comment was for you save my initial agreement with Varun M
@Cody Levinson im 6ft theres actually plenty of room for me in the third row, i have an accord but i enjoy driving my oddysey
They took the middle seat idea from Toyota. But Toyota's is way better and it is easier to store.
