Hi, thanks for the review! I’ve thinning on my front but it’s big too bad. I’m looking for something that gives volume in the front, btw I always do middle/center parting as that’s what suites my face shape. Due to thinning right in the middle I don’t have volume and my sides and back are all good. Coz of thinning I had to get a short bob to get some volume but it still doesn’t look good as the hair is sparse. Which topper would you suggest? Or what in general would you suggest? Thanks!
I know you do a lot of reviews for Uniwigs. Their toppers and wigs. Well 3 weeks ago I made a purchase order for the upgrade Aura. I can’t get a hold of these people on their website. I’ve been calling/ sending emails/ leaving messages and I can’t contact them. I’ve checked my order and it says it’s paid but paused order. Sorry I’m reaching out to customers/ reviewers on their products if anyone ever had this problem with them before. I’m just getting nervous about my order.
Oh no!!! I would be stressed too 😳 but from all my dealings with Uniwigs they have never tried to scam me. I would keep at it until you get a response. Sometimes they have holidays and businesses close and they get behind. But if you’ve paid I’m sure you’ll get your piece. It might be an inventory issue maybe it was out of stock or something.
I got so tired of toppers so went to tape-in extensions. They are nice(no hair loss), but now am tired of them. I forgot that a topper is faster to getting ready in the morning and doesn’t frizz like my bio hair! I can go outside on a humid or windy day and the style is still easy to keep. I wear added hair due to thinning from age…and got into it after my “trusted” former hairdresser ruined my hair with “glue-in” (keratin?) extensions that broke off my hair near the scalp. Took over a year to get hair back THEN Covid hit and I suffered hair loss…now it’s back to normal. The ease of a topper is the reason am going back to it.
Great honest review as always Lacie. I purchased a nutmeg rooted dimples synthetic topper after watching one of your reviews....im now keen to go slightly lighter. It looks like this one this one has a few more highlights that im looking for. is it much lighter and more neutral on the base colour too?
It’s actually a little darker than the nutmeg I think. The base is darker so the highlights show up more. You could check out the dusty ash brown color from Uniwigs though. It has more blonde.

But the Melanie is Remy human hair and the Courtney doesn't say Remy. What's the difference. And is the hairline as nice as the Melanie? Please advise❤
I haven’t tried the Melanie yet but I did double check the Courtney is still remy hair. I’m not sure why it doesn’t list it but I double checked with my contact at Uniwigs. The transition on the Courtney is awesome in my opinion 🙌🏼

I’ve had several clients get their upgrade Courtney toppers dyed and they’ve taken color just fine-sure sign it’s human hair and not mixed with synthetic 👍🏼

I received this topper but it doesn’t lay flat on head. The cap sticks out on the back. Maybe it’s because of the 4 clips?

Upgraded Courtney is a lower quality hair and a little smaller cap. That’s why Melanie costs more. But the cap construction is very similar 🤗
Isn’t human hair all the same quality wise? I’m confused, what makes some better than other?
Lacie (or anyone that knows), is there a difference between the updated Courtney and the updated Courtney plus? I am guessing just size.

What would you say is your favorite topper?
I have seen claims that the hair is not human hair. The hair is actually a mixture of both human and synthetic hair made in China.

The older Courtney was very thick and bulky 😢
