Never played the game but this sounds awesome.
Ys VIII is REALLY GOOD. I had trouble getting into the previous couple games but loved this one. Also IMO best OST I've heard in awhile.

Just make sure you get the steam or PS4 version - the Vita version is probably like 70% of the full game lol
