I have mallow growing in my yard, and it has beautiful purple flowers. I live in northern New England, about 3 hours south of the canadian border. I will say it flowers only for a few days each summer, but it comes back thick and hearty every year!
Great video! Quick question, I often see orange/yellow spots on the leafs, I'm assuming it's fungal rust, is this something one should be worried about if eating or using for medicinal purposes? Thanks!
I have a massive mallow in my garden. It's about four feet tall!! I'm in southeast Valley. I will be posting a video of the "cheese" harvest. It's exciting to learn of the medicinal uses as well. Cheers
I found this in my yard in Phoenix, Arizona, and just had a feeling it was edible. Does anyone let their dogs have some? My dogs enjoy broccoli, spinach, green beans, etc. But just because it's safe for us doesn't mean it necessarily is okay for them. Anyone have knowledge on this by chance? Thanks for this video, Matthew. I enjoyed learning about mallow.
Appalachian mountains... we're enjoying a over abundance of Mallow last 2 years. Using it medicinally now.
Please do tell. What have you treated using this plant. I was thinking of adding it with mullein for cough.
I live in the UK. I have 2 in my garden that I take care of. One has light pink flowers , the other has very dark purple flowers. That one is lovely.
