Who needs a vocaloid anime when you have tons in different genres, stories, and character personalities. Seriously, one vocaloid anime would be so inadequate.
My personal take on the storyline is that these kids (the vocaloids) were orphaned children, brought to some mental institution, except it was always a place for the man running the circus to test on the children. There are so many different rooms because of all the children being messed up for the circus. Only so many survived the experiments and made it to the circus. Then, in the next song, it shows the aftermath of this song and the surviving kids (the vocaloids). I think that the flowers on their body represent the rotting of their skin (I think that was mentioned in the song) because of the experiments and unsanitary conditions they are in.
Miku has goat legs, and the reason why Kaito's a cannibal is because his brain is replaced with a dog's brain. And also, Yowane Haku and Neru Akita are freakishly tall because (this is my best guess) With miku's legs chopped off, Neru and Yowane have Miku's legs stitched to them, thus making them freakishly tall.
Well the idea is that they're children. In her mind, all she sees are the kids being taken away, and every time she sees them again they're "happy". She wants to be included and so is impatient about her turn. She didn't realize what was happening. And being a child in a mental hospital, she probably didn't see that it was WRONG until she was in the circus, which you can tell by her face at the end.
You know the intro is very reminiscent of the feeling of when I went to stay at an inpatient facility. The detached feeling of the intro just gets to me.
Rin and Len i believe were twins that had their heads cut off and stitched together on one body. Rin and Len are made out to be those two masks you normally see in theatures. Rin being the happy one and Len being the sad one. Rin is depicted as a 'good child' while Len was the one that always 'misbehaved' sense his skin has the flower design, meaning acid.
When I finally end up in a mental hospital I'm constantly going to sing, Watashi, Watashi, and so on in the corner in the fetal position, in honor of this brave robot.
1:23 Len: Man I'm so hungry.. I know! I'll start chomping air, to try to get my mind off it! *Chops air* Rin: My bow won't stay up... *adjust adjust adjust* Dx o_o *disappear* Len: *looks over* Rin? ... Rin?! ...Aw fuck it, I'm starving.. *Chomps the air some more*
This song is basically about people being in a mental hospital type thing and one person disappears each day. At the end of the song you find out that they go to become circus freaks in the dark wood circus. They attached Rin and Len together, Kaito ate people, and they gave Miku horse legs. Pretty creepy huh?
i dont get scared by this song, i just think that its sad and horrid. ive actually prayed for the children who had to go through this, so long ago. im glad we live in the era that we do. people long ago were so messed up and cruel.
This is NOT going into my playlist - simply because I would probably get a psychotic breakdown or something if it happened to play in the middle of the night XD But deeply impressed I am :'3
My guess is that she wished for death but unfortunately was deformed instead and sold to the Dark Woods Circus. Ren and Len both were decapitated to sew them together, Kaito was already a cannibal (probably from being forced to eat like that or was already like that). It's awful to imagine wanting death but then not even get that simple wish. Sorry if this post is wrong to the story but that's what I got from this. Let me know if I'm wrong or not.
why were so many early vocaloid songs so creepy? dont get me wrong, there are definately dark and creepy newer songs, but nothing really matches the straight unsettlimg vibe of these super early songs.
@@sadthing3292 I guess I prefer your translation as it's more accurate, but to avoid confusion people tend to use either the most common English name or just the roumaji name. It stops vague translations from giving songs 50 different names.
My theory: Miku, (the one with blue hair,) was selected to be in Dark Woods Circus, but she wasn’t the only one who got chosen for this “special” circus acting job she had to do or get her face dunked in acid. Footsteps can be heard at 1:55, which also means that the person doing this is nearby and coming to get 2 kids and inadequately cut one of their head off, and get stitched onto the other. Then, comes in Dark Woods Circus. You can see this text in the song that says, “Their smiles are jolly, but their forms are quite indifferent.” (not what the text actually says, using memory.) The people at the circus don’t have much care for the little kids that they sent to the place in this song, to get deformed or not, like Miku. Back to the circus, and the song, you see that they aren’t happy with ear to ear smiles like the text said, right? They’re probably faking it, to not get their faces dunked in acid. (Which are the flowers on Len’s face in Dark Woods Circus, and the colorful flowers are rot on Miku’s face in that song, too. “They want to be free, let them be free!” You might say, but they didn’t have a choice. These two songs are based off of Dark Woods Circus, (if you didn’t know.) A place in Europe. They selected kids and took them to a place, where they deformed kids to perform in a circus, and the people there thinking it was fun to kidnap kids and do this. Only so many kids survived, like Miku, and Kaito. Maybe they were orphans, taken to a mental hospital to get “surgeries” on. I don’t know if they still do this now. I will research, and talk more of the theory when i get more information.
@FanDrawersStudios I think it's supposed to be a goat or something, at the end of this video she has a horn grafted onto her head. Interestingly you don't see the horn in the DWC video.
this one is very accurate, but im stuck on one thing steel cage princess ends with miku singing she is put in a chilled room or room with chilled blood, and that would follow to blue ice castle. internet - it's great, but ther's no explanation
@TheGeekForTDI I would DIE if my family members did something like that to me! I can also prove how disturbing this thing is! My dad has a small cover band that practices just outside my computer's room. And There's a Japanese man who speaks the language, right? HE found this disturbing.
And sad. It happend during WWI in Japan. Kids were stolen and had parts of their body cut off and replaced with limbs from animals and placed into a circus were people could pay to see them get raped. If the children missbehaved, acid would get thrown in their eyes( and I quote from the next song, Dark Woods Circus. "flowers to melt my eyes"). Kaito had a dog brain that made him want to eat limbs from dead bodies that eventually do get cold. What a twisted thing that some people do...
They are all in an asylum and each night one of them gets taken away never to be seen again. They get taken away to be experimented on, like two heads sewn onto one body and a dog brain implanted into a boy. The girl singing is saying how everyone disappears and how she is next to be taken away. At the end she gets taken away and experimented on. It's a prequel to Dark Wood Circus where they all come back as attractions. It a very sick story.
What people are talkin about with the spring or horn thing I think it might be to show that in the start of the song it looks more like a spring cause she was a expriment (spelling sorryXD) and at the end it looks more like a horn cause she was a "monster" now.
...Are we sure that this is Meiko and not some form of Grell that went insane because someone cut his beloved hair off...? Also, this is horribly creepy.
@Lettrikanatina This one is where she's in like a 'prison' where people get deformed. Then she gets sent to the freak circus (DWC). The third one is about her committing suicide when she is locked in a cage. Fourth one is about her in hell.
i get it now!! they are not the horns you think they are,in dark woods circus she has goat legs not horse legs, and if you look closely she had goat horns,i think they somehow fused her with goat parts
