apologies for the poor audio
nah, you did alright!
No worries premium content.
Its fine honestly
Your audio is better than all the other channels. They had all the background sound as loud as their own voices.
I guess we can let it go… this time…
The 32" 4K 240Hz PG32UCDM also has a proximity sensor that works the same way.
I just wanted to write it, Yeah I got the monitor and it is great feature
Got this monitor as well, it's absolutely glorious. Don't even know what a monitor would have to do at this point to get me to upgrade to something else.
It would probably have to be like 8K 1000Hz or something I have no clue. Maybe a 4K Glossy WOLED at 480Hz
If the price was right.
5090: HOLY POWER AND THERMAL LIMITING, strix is best looking though.
Wonder what the temp difference is between these.
1:17 I'm in love aesthetically with that Apex board. Those orange highlights are sublime.
Most benchmarks show that running DDR 8000 at 1:2 UCLK:MCLK ratio (which coincidentally results FCLK:MCLK 1:1) on Ryzen 7000/9000 performs approximately the same as 1:1 DDR6400 for most workloads.
Higher than DDR8000 would possibly be even faster on Ryzen. Apex board is ultimately going to be aimed at memory overclockers who love pushing this stuff.
Most benchmarks are wrong
Buildzoid said the same thing!
idk about you guys, but i dont play benchmarks ..
Rtx 5090 Astral LC for me, no contest.
Just worried if it will last me 4 years until the Rtx 7090.
If anyone has used GPU aio in the past please let me know your experiences and if it can last.
Yes Paste wont dryout
Thermalpad on VRM / GDDR7 : hey !
THAT is a win
5090 Strix if I can get one at release. Phase change pad is a slight negative if you want to watercool it but I guess the waterblock just needs different clearances to die and memory. I want to use it with my 14900KS and MoRa 420 🙂
5090 watercooled let's go
Yeah where is the asus 5090 waterblock rby gpu....🤦♂️🤞💚
Too bad the rad uses thier bullshit magnet pwm connection and there are no adapters so putting on your own fans will be a pain in the ass
Probably like five grand or more
@@216edwin 3k at the most
nvidia gsync pulsar is ulmb + VRR, and there have been monitors that already have 1000hz motion clarity, like benq zowies, this is notthing new, except now you dont have to cap your frame rate at the hertz of your monitor
"Selling like hot cakes" i always wondered when hearing this saying - who tf buys hotcakes xD i never see people eating hotcakes anywhere lol
because they're all sold out
@@Anthony-ky7nd The only place i've heard of selling hotcakes is McDonalds, and there ain't anyone i know that goes to Macca's for Hotcakes ever xD
oleds will be worth upgrading once they increase 100% brightness to like 500 nits at least. the ktc g27p6 is like $550 and all these new monitors dont perform much better unless you want a resolution upgrade.
I will go for the cheapest asus 5090 and use ut with custom water block
that back connect board is sick. Great job giving us the important info! I didn’t see anyone mention that all the 5090s would have the same power limit, that’s great to know. 💪🏽🙏🏽
Strix looks nice but kinda plastic.. I mean.. for the price we pay for the strix, we expect aluminum or metal 😂
I do not understand enthusiast boards on AM5. I guess, yeah, if you're looking to set records, as Jufes mentioned. But I don't understand that, either.
Zen 6 might take more advantage of the enthusiast boards, but it's really just a way to get people who don't understand hardware to spend more money
Can’t wait to get a 5090 Astral
big chungus
Me 2 hope there is coming a while one!
If you like your coil whine, I guess... It's a known fact Asus cards are dogshit with coil whine because of their crappy capacitors. My own TUF 4090 is probably the world champion in coil whine, it would be totally unusable without closed headphones. That's on top of their shitty customer support (see Gamer's Nexus videos about that) and generally inflated prices. Never again, I'll be looking at MSI / Gigabyte for a 5090.
@@ondrejsobek6565 that’s really F up fore you!( don’t mean it as a assault to you personally)
I hear and read it sometime but i have never a problem whit Asus and i have a lot of GPU from them.
From 4090 - 4070 TI super 3090 and a 3090 TI
2080 and 1080 and never coil whine.
"because then there would be no reason to get the OLED"
Unless you want maximum contrast and perfect blacks.
that means more realistic image
The Astral looks sick but I definitely need a 2 slot 5090 so founders it is.
Thank you for you coverage its awesome with you insight. Love your content and the info you bring please don't stop.
Bravo man! Appreciate the effort getting to CES2025. Tbh, your videos are more interesting and insightfull than the rest of your tech colleagues. Keep them vids comming !!
Sad that there doesn't come a BTF Astral 5090 with the new BTF Board
Tired of oled. As someone sensitive to it. Gives me headaches and spotty vision after using it. Its like the image is being projected and imprinted onto my eyes. Nano ips monitor for comfort
Definitely a you problem.
You have it in phone so i doubt is a screen issue, idk even what would cause it its darker not brighter so idk how it can imprint something on your eyes. I still didnt upgrade because its too dark for me, i use 390hz acer and i don even use extreme vrb because its too dark for me and its still brigher than oleds i am pretty sure, its not like eyes dont adapt they do and i see well even on extreme vrb, but i still play better on bright screen with vrb normal. And about headaches i know some people get them from vrb but i have no idea why would oled cause it either as they dont use vrb there (sometimes they do in lower hz modes so maybe thats it?).
You need more brightness. Some OLEDs are brighter thsn others though.
@@erisium6988it was the LG g2 65 inch a few years ago. I tried it for 2 weeks. I returned it while I still could. Vertigo, spotty vision, headache. It would last the rest of the day even after I turned it off. Sharp color popping image but not worth the discomfort to me
I have many oled screens / tvs (3x LG TVs, 55CX / 42C2 / 55G3) and the 55G3 has excellent brightness, that’s what made me have headaches (eyes tiring so fast) I think because it’s so bright on some positions but black on others that the inconsistent brightness fuxks my eyes. Had to turn down the brightness actually haha.
But yeah IPS will be more comfortable for eye care that for sure (currently) if you have eye strain like me. (Also have an IPS screen and a TN with dyac from benq for good comparison)
BTF - wouldn't it be a big performance gain to have the ram on the back closer to the Cpu? (Lower latency, ability to run higher clock ram more stable etc)
Probably not. Especially because you would also have to get adequate cooling/airflow on the back of the motherboard. There would also be clearance issues, even if you were using CAMM2 and that may also complicate the manufacturing of the board quite a bit.
Both because you would have to place stuff on the opposite side of the PCB and the ideal place for them would add additional heat to the CPU, increasing temps, making it more difficult to cool, and also interfering with how the mounting for certain CPU coolers functions.
When it comes to the location of RAM, the absolutely miniscule benefit that could potentially be had by moving the DIMMs to the opposite side of the motherboard and also potentially closer to the CPU would not be worth the loads of additional complexity it would add into the manufacturing process for the board.
And that's before even factoring in the multiple ways it would probably have a negative impact on performance that was significantly larger than any gains resulting from the miniscule improvement to signal transmission latency.
Desktop PCs as a form factor are fundamentally a balance of multiple different factors. Modularity, manufacturability, standardization, consistency, performance, heat generation, cooling, ease of assembly, size, weight, power consumption, safety, cost, and probably another dozen or more as well.
While any of these areas can be improved, doing so almost always comes at the expense of multiple other factors. If we instead bought a single standardized item that includes the memory, CPU, and motherboard. Maybe the industry would have created some other clever way to position the memory. But given the constraints we currently have the position it's in right now is probably the overall best for the moment. Unless there is a massive change in the form factor for memory.
It would probably orient the memory modules to look a whole lot like how it is done on a GPU. Which isn't that surprising, I mean a GPU is basically it's own mini computer inside a computer.
But even then, the memory is still only put on the back in rare circumstances and only after it's put in the most ideal place (right next to the die on the same side).
I dont think thermal pad is win(on 300+w GPUs) I have 6800XT(reference with thermal pad instead of paste) and hotspot temp is pretty bad. I heard that after you change pad for paste temps can be up to 30°C lower. Not to mension you cant just repaste it. You need some kind of washer mod because pad is thicker than paste and there is not enough pressure and temp will be worse. So pad sucks for GPUs.
Ask them what they will do about coil whine
they will include a vial of super glue to coat a whiny pipe
Coil whine is random, not related to manufacturer. I also have videos on how to fix it in my discord.
Agreed, ASUS is absolutely guaranteed to have THE worst coil whine of any manufacturer. I've tried to RMA cards it's been so bad (was denied ofc). Another reason they're garbage
It's really funny to me how we've hit the point where graphics aren't really evolving any more, so now we're focusing on 300+ FPS or 8K as the thing we buy new hardware for. If you're happy with 1440p on a 27 inch monitor and cannot tell the difference beyond 60FPS, you can just stay with hardware from several years ago lol.
Read UE5 patch notes each version they release regulalrly and you will see Graphics are always evolving.
What you're talking about is a big noticeable jump to visual quality i think - which is normal considering how far quality has come over decades.
IE cars - Got big jumps in top speed for a period in time from advancements and now we just see small increases in speed if at all.
@@Alakazam551 Not really, I look at them today vs 10 years ago and there is no difference.
@@RIPSOE404 I mean they're not, but i'm not going to argue with you because i'm sure no examples i give would ever be accepted by you.
Enjoy your life stuck in 2015 graphics xD
@Framechasers Does the Asus 5090 Astral fit on the Asus Z790 Dark Hero motherboard? And will it fit in Lian li 011 RBG midi case? Probably a dumb question but i just want to be sure.
Phase change sheets standard? That's a Hella good change.
Someone remind gigabyte though. Theyve been using bottom shelf paste and pads for years.
Avoiding the 5090 and buying 4090 for dirt cheap very soon 👍
Love the Astral
When the proximity sensor fails in your monitor and it stays dim all the time ahahah - new world issues
You would just turn off the proximity sensor using the OSD. Or using the Display Widget Center
Bro, that camera looks amazing! Also, I'm the real cod bro, please, never forget about us!
The ASUS tax on these cards is going to be crazy.
Finally a new 2 dimm am5 board
That astral is sick. I could easily see that card being $2600.
Another banger thanks Jufes!
what i was waiting for !!.......i might jus get the apex for future proofing and the 2 dimm jus looks better than 4...
The market for LCD monitor buyers is becoming really sad
Astral is not water cooled it’s liquid cooled! Yes that’s a big difference!
Whats the feature name of the Asus router? I wanna buy it but I need to know the name of the feature so I can research it.
getting astral 5090 oc cannot wait mby i get two🤣i want that bo6 routher
8400 ram with 2100 fclk would make 2:1 mode worth it
im curios on dat 360 ips dat can do vrr and gsync at the same time
I get more excited to see FC in CES than CES itself 😂. gg
I thoroughly enjoyed this video.
damn those are some beefy ass cards
Can you see through 5090 strix ? Is it miniturize PCB 5090 like founder edition ?
astral air or water? what should i buy for the sup01
Both uses fans😂
Water cooling is 30% more effective than air cooling #they said
water
@@abdullaalkaabi2301 im just not sure if the tubes is long enough in the lian li sup 01, and i cant find anywhere were it stands how long the tubes are
@@xianlux4947 well its 30% more in rtx5090 Astral LC vs rtx5090 Astral air cooling from asus , I heard that from one of their videos ,
But about other 3rd party brands well idk xD
Usually water cooling is better than air cooling , but more expensive that is the problem.
the led is great quality
@framechasers core ultra 285k on the z890 maximus extreme board or 9800x3d and crosshair x870e board
pc got damaged in shipping and the si is letting me build a new system i need your opinion pls
write what you want to see or test it and I'd like to see it too
im happy with the earbud, its now par with um miracle and ready to monitor, kind of hitting target of january
Is ASUS the only company that has 2 HDMI ports for their 5xxx Series? Guess I'll have to go ASUS again.
Jufes is pro
5090 with the Extra Fan on Top
Astral but the Tuf is sexy too.
I just want Mini DTX back.
I go with the big boy 😎 4 slots 4 the W
Interesting.
This guy is legit gansta.... goes into Asus booth and curse no sheez given 😅
For people who left the scene of "Compete" need a bigger 32" maybe a 360hz 4k/1440p.. When ???????
God like 😮
i just want to play games comp
strix is the most beautiful one, but 5070 ti as maximum is very sad
Strix goes up to 5090
@FrameChasers I wish you are right, bro) but according to rog site it is 5070 ti max. Looks like it is not a flagship anymore, astral is)
@@timzubair828 ignore the website, it goes up to 5090
@@FrameChasers you've brought good news)
we all know that asus boards are a ripoff and meant for rich bois that dont even use the board for its full potential. 6 gen5 m.2 slots all filled with 2TB nvmes and they have their whole steam library installed.
6400/2= WHAT?
5090 AIO or bust gang??
Imagine choosing Asus and pairing it with intel 😂😂😂
What surprises me is everyone adopted AIO for their CPUs like 15 years ago, yet it isn't a thing for GPUs beyond the niche. I had expect they'd all be AIO too by now.... Really surprising that they aren't.
Wonder what they were thinking with the Astrel and its push/pull. If it's mounted vertical, where did they think the air was going to go? Right onto your mobo and chipset. ASUS is seriously just garbage
No white 5090s?
A ZEUS
So the Strix will have a 90 version?
Yes
@ oh sweet! Hopefully a white one too!
Aio 5090 oc
1:58 How so?
DDR5-8000 in 2:1 mode very much trades blows with 6400 1:1, and DDR5-9000 is already faster in every scenario (on AMD). No chiplet AM5 CPU is capable of that though AFAIK.
I don't think OLED is the future, mirco led is cheaper and no burn in and more nits
How's the response times on mini LED?
@GioCTRL 5-6 ms
@@GioCTRL 1 Ms gray to gray Xiaomi G Pro 27i ELA5585EU
Oled burn in is overrated. I have been using my phone with oled screen for 2-4 hours daily for 5 years already and it has Zero burn in. The tech is mature and burn in is only a issue in extreme scenarios.
@wesleyvandeurzen7199 you cannot compare a mobile screen with a monitor that is more switched on than a mobile screen is for a longer time
👋
Asus lineup too complicated. Too expensive. Other brands 20% less with same fps in games.
ruclips.net/video/1vhlmJ6UOX8/видео.html Sixty four hundred (6,400) divided by 2 is not 12,800 haha, you must have been tired that day :P
cod is finally dying. cod bros can stop competing now, its not that serious.
AMDip 😂😂
Wow ...we have new BTF!!! Yeah!!
DDR5 8200MT is already faster than 6400MT so Apex will be a better choice than the Hero
Where is the Camm2???
There wasn’t any, I think they realized it’s not that serious
5090 strix confirmed?
watch the video
No only 5070ti. The Strix is know the lower end. Even the Tuff has better build quality and has a 5090 and 5080 version.
Yes 5090 strix confirmed, ignore random zack guy
5090 watercooled whit chiller hell yeay
