See, the issue is that many of the jokes of the show rely on the dragons' size and stature, and deflating them like this without changes to the story and jokes just makes it silly at points.

The thing about Ilulu's giant breasts is that it's part of her character: she can't use transformation magic well enough (to the point she didn't even have fingers on her hands at first) to make her chest any smaller than that. Tooru herself even said that was the best Ilulu could pull off. So yeah, she looks better with a reduced size, but that's precisely because she was made to not look as good as se could for story reasons.
Feels like some bizarre meta-scenario where Chinese somehow managed to whip Ilulu literally to learn reducing her breast size effectively, lest she'll face some kind of grave punishment. Yikes. (And I know she's super-powerful but fictional characters don't exactly have agency in our reality.)
Well it doesnt even matter. They already established that for the hands. The story reasons could legimately just for "fan service reasons" with an explanation. Losing the big boobs wont hurt the story.
It look almost like author wanted to make satire of huge tits hentai. Like make character who can't control her transformation and big aspect of her apperance is that she can't change those ridiculous and stupid looking meatsacks as artists who can't draw better just go for stupidly huge knockers to fit in some niche.
And also the author loves chubby characters. Honestly, this whole "fixing" isn't even that big of a deal. Characters' traits are still well established. I mean the bits where Kobayashi is jealous of Tohru's bust and the whole section about "Father's/Boobs day" will probably have to be edited, but other than that, the whole thing could just be viewed as the girls being attractive, with or without big boobs. I don't think Chinese viewers will be bothered by this.
I like the OG more since it's linked with her skills in shapeshifting. They even had a whole scene explaining why her chest is large (not only due to that's where she builds up her fire but also shifting into a small human isn't a skill she mastered yet) so overall I rather have plot that makes sense instead of changing a character looks to look appealing to some people.

It’s ok for some reasons like if the colour is misrepresented of the characters actual background in the case of people like pucci because 80% of people still think he is African American but if you watched some of rev’s videos earlier last year and this year with the uzaki stuff they were literally making her brown skin and saying she was “fixed”. People were legitimately “black facing” characters (probably the best generic term in this case since there hasn’t been significant “white washed” characters people fight over) and saying it made them better.

Canonically speaking the dragons have flame sacs, not mammalian parts, the size of the flame sacs was supposed to represent how powerful their flame breath was and how much of it they could produce and this is stated MULTIPLE times in the story, by Tohru, Illulu, and water-worm. I am a "flat is justice" type, but I hate it just as much when they take a canonically flat character and throw chesticles on them as I do when they take a canonically watermelon carrier and "fix" them. I would be pissed if I was Coolkyousinnjya. He has a really consistent, recognisable art style and the ample bosom is part of that (usually a Lucoa x Shota style pairing too). I love the artstyle in all of his works, even the more adult stuff. This tramples on his artistic integrity and ruins so many gags and actual plot points too.

Bizarrely enough, Chichi Chichi is genuinely good. Cool-sensei is a man who can take "I made this series as an excuse to draw tittyfucking" and make it a hilarious comedy with engaging characters. It's also in the same shared universe as Maidragon, Ojojojo, Mononoke Sharing, and several other of his series.

Censorship of any kind is terrible. It constrains an artist's work and is disrespectful. On top of that, Illulu's big breasts are because of her not being good at transformation. Not going to lie, when Ilulu was first introduced I actually disliked her almost immediately and almost entirely because I thought her bust was just way too overexaggerated. Once I got to know her character though she actually became my favorite character in the series.
For those in the comments saying that it looks better… or they were too big to begin with… you're missing the entire point. The creator made them look that way because in the story, this is how they view themselves in a human form. It's supposed to be a little over the top and out of place because they are dragons. Once you remove those, you have taken away part of the character that the creator was trying to convey. "Well just down size them a little bit." It's not up to you. The thing about Ilulu's giant breasts is that it's part of her character: she can't use transformation magic well enough (to the point she didn't even have fingers on her hands at first) to make her chest any smaller than that. Tooru herself even said that was the best Ilulu could pull off.
So yeah, she looks better with a reduced size, but that's precisely because she was made to not look as good as se could for story reasons.
Feels like some bizarre meta-scenario where Chinese somehow managed to whip Ilulu literally to learn reducing her breast size effectively, lest she'll face some kind of grave punishment. Yikes.

Honestly, this whole "fixing" isn't even that big of a deal. Characters' traits are still well established. I mean the bits where Kobayashi is jealous of Tohru's bust and the whole section about "Father's/Boobs day" will probably have to be edited, but other than that, the whole thing could just be viewed as the girls being attractive, with or without big boobs. I don't think Chinese viewers will be bothered by this.

I like the OG more since it's linked with her skills in shapeshifting. It’s ok for some reasons like if the colour is misrepresented of the characters actual background in the case of people like pucci because 80% of people still think he is African American but if you watched some of rev’s videos earlier last year and this year with the uzaki stuff they were literally making her brown skin and saying she was “fixed”. People were legitimately “black facing” characters (probably the best generic term in this case since there hasn’t been significant “white washed” characters people fight over) and saying it made them better.

I laugh at the fact that short adults aren't an acceptable concept to people...also that non-humans trying to take on the form of a human makes them human is a dumb stance to take, but people love to take it. The part that is most disturbing is how several people see a short anime character and see a child being oversexualized...which says more about where their head is at rather than the people that understand the actual age of the character.

Censorship of any kind is terrible. It constrains an artist's work and is disrespectful. On top of that, Illulu's big breasts are because of her not being good at transformation. It's a part of her character. And yes, it's comically oversized but so what? She's a drawing of a shape shifting dragon. An artist can do whatever they want with them.
While yes, I believe the edit looks better in my preference, I still don’t care for censorship. They even did it to Lucua, Tohru, and Elma.

Not going to lie, when Ilulu was first introduced I actually disliked her almost immediately and almost entirely because I thought her bust was just way too overexaggerated. Once I got to know her character though she actually became my favorite character in the series.
For those in the comments saying that it looks better… or they were too big to begin with… you're missing the entire point.
The creator made them look that way because in the story, this is how they view themselves in a human form. It's supposed to be a little over the top and out of place because they are dragons. Once you remove those, you have taken away part of the character that the creator was trying to convey.

When I saw the pictures before I watched the anime I was like wtf, but I literally got used to it after episode one. I'm not surprised China censored this. It's the same country that was thinking about limiting how much a kid can play online video games. There are already video games censorship in China already.
