Was it gate 7 you saw the bear? Loved the video. I was at a place called Pepper Ranch Preserve not too far from Fakahatchie a few weeks ago and saw a mink around 7am. First time ever seeing one
Haven’t heard about Pepper! I saw the mink 3.7 miles in, so close to gate 7. I calibrated the odometer at the front gate when I arrived. I’m still hoping to a panther, but it will have to be another trip. Thanks for the kind words re the video and Happy New Year!
Pepper ranch preserve is off 29 north of Fak in Immokalee. I consider it the smaller version of the Fak. Has a scenic drive, Lake and lots of trails and wildlife. Panthers frequent there too. Although I've not seen any as of yet. Saw tracks that's about it.
Oh! And I saw the bear at the gate preventing traffic north bound, where I rode the bike. I’ve seen two bears there - one on each of my last two trips. I’ll definitely have to hot pepper!

no, but foot and bike traffic is okay.....

As I recall it was during Covid and I had just come out of the building behind me (bathrooms etc). I forgot I had it on and removed it to record.
