Haha, nice one. "BABYMETAL DEATH" is their staple concert intro song, this video, to 2014's Legend Doomsday show at Budokan. However, they do use it sometimes as a closer as well. Also, don't worry about the order of the "journey". Yes, there are some songs that you may want to do specific versions to, and there are some songs that should be watched in order. For those, the fan base will let you know (loudly 😆). Otherwise, do any song you want in what ever order, just enjoy the ride lol. *About the Song:* Play on words on "Desu" (silent u), meaning "I am / We are". E.g., Babymetal Desu = We are Babymetal / Su-metal Desu = I am Su-metal Here are some categorized suggestions for you: *For Su-metal's Vocals:* *Akatsuki (Budokan 2014):* Epic Su-metal solo to a power metal ballad. *Amore (Wembley 2016):* Another Su-metal solo, perfect for those that enjoys a love ballad, but requires non-stop blast beats and shreddy guitars to accompany it. Beware, use the video from "Babymetal Reactors Resource" for this one to appease the Copyright Gods. *Monochrome (1st Take Channel's Piano Version, 2023):* Stripped down version, showcasing Su's amazing vocal talents. *Monochrome (Babyametal Begins, Clear Night, 2023):* The full epic version of the above. *For the "WTF" Factor:* *Catch Me If You Can (Budokan 2014):* Only Babymetal can pull of such a rediculously brutal and heavy song about hide and seek in such a cute and adorable way, with an epic Kami Band flex. *iine! (Official MV):* 2nd song released, "baby" Babymetal tells the world that they will not be constrained to traditional musical expectations as they slap you across the face with multiple genres. *BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997):* Same song as this reaction, but a must see and a way more epic version. Dec 2013's concert celebrating Su-metal's 16th birthday, and her death as a mortal/idol, and ascension to a metal goddess. This time, it is the show closer. *Doki Doki Morning (Official MV):* 1st song ever by Babymetal, originally debuted in Nov 2010, when they were 12 and 11, but the MV is ~1 year later. *For the EPIC!!:* *Road of Resistance (Official, Live):* An epic power metal anthem, with guitars co-written by Dragonforce. In this Jan 2015 performance, 17-year old stage general Su-metal, and her 15-year old lieutenants lead a sold out crowd of 20K fans for an epic wall of death and massive circle pits. This is a staple show closer performed by Babymetal for almost a decade. *Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014):* Another Su-metal solo, but super dark and ominous, with an amazing band intro. BOH shows off how you properly handle a 6-string bass. *The ONE (Official):* A tribute song made by Babymetal to their fans, as they fly around the arena. *Divine Attack (Babymetal Begins, Clear Night, 2023):* One of my stop songs from their newest album, and Su-metal has full writing credits on this. Amazing performance. *Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Sonisphere, 2014):* Babymetal's first major appearance outside of Japan. A historical moment as they win over ~60K confused UK metal heads who never heard of them before, leaving them asking for more as the girls exit the stage. Look forward to more! 🦊🤘
I think that Legend 1997 is the best place to watch BabyMetal Death. This is ok, but not the same energy, plus 1997 gives the needed background on what is happening and why.
Welcome back to the Foxhole, super rare you got this song version as a suggestion which btw is titled "Babymetal Death" not just Death alone. You're the second in this week watching this clip from the same place. Try to not follow that creepy place, it's full of uploads and pics with only the girls being young and also seems he got a fetiche for certain pics of the girls. This was live at Budokan 2014, not really sure why he didn't put that info in the title or description. Anyway i highly suggest you to check it out the live at Legend 1997 in 2013 using it as an epic ender. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
@@AriasandtheNATIONI also suggest “For the Fox God” channel for videos. Lots of great quality concert videos with live audio, and most of them have decent subtitles!
You need to view Legend 1997 version. Su-Metal (the singer) is given a neckbrace and is sacrificed to the Fox God and becomes a living legend/Queen. You have to see it
How to get a crowd into a frenzy by introducing yourself. I’m sure you’ve been told the legend 1997 version is really insane and worth a watch. This is an actual old version too. Maybe a change of pace. Next you could try monochrome ( piano version), on the first take channel. And compare that to the monochrome live at the PIA arena 2023. Both epic , and well worth a dbl feature video. 💥🦊💥
Just point and click 🤔 yes thats exactly right . That is why it's hard to pick a top ten BabyMetal list . This is the song being used as an opener to introduce themselves. The version that they used as a show closer at the Legend 97 concert is one of the greatest finished to a Metal concert I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of epic ones before. Really, it's METALAF! ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.htmlsi=HfWeAOO5EWnXrqg1
Yes when I saw them in Houston for the kick off of their world tour in August 2023. This is was intro song for the concert. The KAMI band rocks. This is a older concert and the girls are younger as well as YUI was still with the band. She left in 2018. Keep rocking the Babymetal. It's cool to see a rookie discovering Babymetal.
Great reaction - that was a bit different to 'Gimme Chocolate' I think you will agree. 'BABYMETAL Death' was the opening song on their first album and it really is a play on words. The English word death sounds to a Japanese speaker like the Japanese word desu (the U is silent) spoken with a slight lisp. Desu mean "to be - I am - you are - we are - it is" etc so in 'BABYMETAL Death' they are simply introducing themselves and the band - the lyrics are simple: "B_A_B_Y_M_E_T_A_L" "I am Su-metal" "I am Yuimetal" "I am Moametal" "We are BABYMETAL". Normally it would be the opening number in their concerts, occasionally they would use it later in the show, but that would be on special occasions ... and they added a lot of theatrics when they did that (eg Legend 1997 for Su-metal's 16th birthday in XDecember 2013 and Legend S for her 20th in December 2017). Legend S was the last time they had performed this version of 'BABYMETAL Death' - until it was brought back for BABYMETAL Begins, Clear Night last April after Momometal had been revealed as the third member of the new BABYMETAL. From then on it was back as the opening song for most or all of their concerts for the rest of the year.
Another great reaction! You're absolutely right, there is no filler songs with Babymetal, they give 100% in each one and each one is amazing and different. Like the other Kitsune said, you won't regret looking at the Legend 1997 version of "Babymetal Death" #notacult 🤟🦊🤟キツネだお🤟🦊🤟
I liked all of your reactions to Babymetal so far. These incredibly talented women are simply amazing. I saw them live twice in germany last year and will also see them live twice in Yokohama in March. Definitely the best metal trip of my life. Greetings from germany. Forever THE ONE 🤗❤🤘🦊🤘
Not even the best version, Legend 1997 is seen as the best version, but Clear Night with Momoko is my personal favorite to hear the cheers for Momometal Death!
There is a better version of Death where there is a death (Legend 1997) and offends some people. Ask a fan to suggest the best performance of a song, some performances are much more epic than others...
Great reaction, thanks! That was a very good version. The opening for one of their best concerts ever. Live at Budokan Black Night Apocalypse (March 2nd 2014). Song's name is actually "BABYMETAL Death" and that (And the lyrics) is a play on words with "desu" meaning "I am" or "we are". And being mispronounced as "death" gives a funny, cute and metal way to introduce themselves. It was regularly used to open every show until Yui left. Now, with the addition of Momoko they can use it again. But what we actually wanted you to see was this: "BABYMETAL Death" (Legend 1997 with CC, without spoilers): ruclips.net/video/VE34mRpi6Qk/видео.html 😜 "Kami" means god or spirit. Kami Band members are meant to be the god or spirit (a Shintoist view of the deities) of each instrument. 🤘🦊
Thanks for the reaction. This one can be a little confusing without background context, but as others have pointed out it’s a play on words that actually makes it a great way to introduce the group while warming up the crowd when it’s used as an opener. Lots of fun seeing it live. It was exciting last year when Momometal finally was able to include herself in the roll call signalling her transition to an official member - another example of Babymetal’s perfect combination of joyful and brutal. 🤘🦊
If your next video is either Megitsune MV, monochrome live, Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live, pa pa ya live, road of Resistance live in Japan...imma send the Fox 🦊 God after you! 🤣 P.S. this version you watched didn't include the theatrical "sacrifice" thing they do halfway thru the song...great reaction tho, keep them coming!
You absolutely must watch the Legend 1997 version of this. It is the DEFINITIVE performance of this song. Trust me, it is a performance you will NEVER forget!
To this day it is their opener for their concerts and holy shit this is making your blood boil and gives you energy for the things to come^^ the legend 1997 version was my go-to video that I sent to people who said that Babymetal are not "metal" :D
Can’t wait for you to do Road of Resistance Live in Japan. There are parts where you will stand up and wonder how girls 17 and 15 can perform like this and control a crowd like this
Well, yes this is one of the versions, but the critical point is you have a vabymetal death in most of their concerts. In most cases they are placed there to help the girls into their stage persona, so Suzuka Nakamoto becomes Sumetal, Moa Kikuchi becomes Moametal, but in some concerts the story is slightly different.
Actually, the title of this song is "BABYMETAL Death". And if you thought this performance was "absolutely nuts", you ought to give the "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" version a look (it's on my RUclips playlist "BABYMETAL Top Twenty"). And you're going to be pretty busy because BABYMETAL has over sixty songs in their catalog never mind music videos and various live performances. I totally agree that BABYMETAL is best served live but they have several music videos that are real works of art: let's face it, there are things you can do in a MV that just can't be done onstage. Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks for the reaction Daniel 🦊🤘 Next indulge yourself with "Headbanger night of 15 mix", completed with "Ave Maria" intro. You'll be happily confused 😉
This is a really early version. The girls were like 15/14/14!! They go hard in the Legend 1997 version so that’s worth a look! It’s a play on words. Desu in Japanese is I am or we are. It’s pronounced like Dess (Death) to our English speaking ears. So when they actually say MoaMetal Desu, she’s really saying I am MoaMetal! BABYMETAL Desu (We are BABYMETAL)! Cool huh? 🤟🏻🤟🏻
👍👍Love it!! 🦊🦊🦊 There are some MV which are must see. 🦊 🖖❤ Edit:An interesting take posted on BABYMETAL REDDIT by VulpineDeity: Take it a step farther. Not only does 'SU-METAL DESU' mean she's introducing herself, it's also her super-hero transformation phrase. Like on Sailor Moon, Usagi says 'Moon Prism Power!' and turns into Sailor Moon, Suzuka Nakamoto shouts 'I AM SU-METAL' and becomes possessed by the spirit of the Fox God and transforms into the Metal Goddess SU-METAL. The magical girl who transforms into a hero is a huge trope in Japan, comparable to Disney princesses in the west. BABYMETAL DEATH! follows the trope and it's the moment that they all transform into their magical alter egos at the start of the show. 🦊 🖖 ❤
Hi, peter from Ireland, mixed comments I see most referring to legend 1997, and it is epic but do is this, absolutely gorgeous the best point babymetal is point click win. I am sure you know by now how huge the babymetal following is, play and you shall receive support 😊😊😊, you channel will gain loyal babymetal followers as we are so loyal to them and those that support 😊
Nice reaction. Since you did one of their first show openers. I think you might like what they came up with after this song as an opener. Especially when the did it for Legend S. This concert was for Su's 20th birthday. Check out "In The Name Of". Babymetal showing once again they know how to throw a birthday party. FYI culturally speaking 15 and 20 are big milestone type birthdays in Japan. We missed Momoko's 20th last year. But they are giving us a big 2 day concert show (as many of the Legend concerts are) for Momoko's 21st birthday this year in March. A highly anticipated concert for Babymetal fans.
I know a lot of people are saying you should have reacted to the Legend 1997 performance for the shock and awe effect, but personally, it has been reacted to death (pun intended). This is an excellent version as well as the 2023 PIA arena with Momometal. The song was retired after Yui's departure in 2018 and was replaced with "Babymetal Death - Shin Version", "Future Metal" and "In The Name Of" as show openers until Momoko's official induction as a member and has become a opening staple once again. As mentioned in other comments, the girls are simply saying "I am Su-metal", "I am Yuimetal", "I am Moametal", "We are BABYMETAL" with "WE ARE!" chanted in between (many will chant "DEATH!" as a play on words since "desu" sounds like "death"). Kitsune Da O!🤘🦊🤘
Babymetal Death is intense, but the best performance is the one at the Legend 1997 show. Do yourself a favour and react to that one. Another great performance is "Rondo of Nightmare (with Mischiefs of Metal Gods intro)"... Great reactions, always fun to see new people experience Babymetal. ❤
Cool version, but this is just a regular rendition (usually performed as show opener to introduce themselves). Do yourself a favor and check out the LEGEND 1997 version that was done as the show ender for the concert celebrating Su-Metal's 16th birthday. Epic does not even begin to describe it. This one pales in comparison.
Babymetal Death, legend 1997 is even more insane. It was used as an outro for the 1997 concert. But you will see why when you get to it. As an intro , this is just the girls telling the crowd their names and the name of the band. Oh and getting the crowd into a frenzy while they're about it. So I would actually suggest you do the legend 1997 version next. For that version gives us the birth of our metal goddess Sumetal. See you next time. 💥💥🦊🦊💥💥
Just a heads-up - some of us might keep telling you to do this or that version, but that's because we want you to get what we think would be the best first impression. But that said, whichever version you select is always appreciated. 🤘🦊🤘
All versions of Babymetal Death are awesome and was the first song i heard them play at Sonisphere but there is only one version of Babymetal Death that is extra special and that is Legends 97 and after you watch it you will know why The One think this 🦊
My friend, I leave you a small list of songs to react to: - *Road of Resistance* (co-written by DRAGONFORCE's guitarists) - *Syncopation* - *Monocrhome* - *BxMxC* - *Sis. Anger* - *Akatsuki* - *Tales of Destines (The end of this song is the intro to the song THE ONE* ) - *Rondo Of Nightmare* (whit intro *Mischief of Metal Gods* ) - *YAVA!* - *Megitsune* (I do recommend the MV version) - *HeadBanger!!!* - *Karate* - *DEATH* - *Amore* _ *Gimme Chocolate!* - *Pa Pa Ya!* - *Brand New Day* - *Kagerou* - *Arkadia* - *BBAB* - *Cover by Su-Metal: *Tamashii No Rufuran* -*Divine Attack* - *Iine!* - *Awadama Fever* - *Elevator Girl* (Japanese version or English version) - *Shanti Shanti Shanti* -*Maya* - *GJ* - *Da Da Dance* - *Catch Me If You Can* - *And a Lot More* Check all Live Performance at Japan only:
The legendary era of BABYMETAL😭 I only witnessed BMD with Yui once. Since then BMD was sealed so long. But seeing it again in Jan. 2023 made me cry. The new era of BABYMETAL🤘
This song was used to introduce them. Japanese word "desu" spoken like "dess" cuz the u is silent means I am or we are etc. They made it into death, cuz it sounds similar. A hard way to introduce yourself isn't it? So it's a pun. Greets from Germany and keep them coming.
This is frequently used as an intro to their set, occasionally a closer, and most rarely there are actual human sacrifices but that is really rare so not a concern. Fun reaction as always, look forward to watching along as you go! I noticed you are a fan of Sabaton, can I suggest a live performance of Oh Majanai! ft Joakin Broden? It is gorgeously fun, and for someone new to the band it tells you one thing very clearly - expect the unexpected. Link for convenience in case you want it ruclips.net/video/PR6SYEK7tD8/видео.html from Budokan 2021. This is also one of Su-Metal's favorite songs they perform.
Just a quick note that even though it was posted 6 days ago that performance is from 2014 at Budokan. They were 16 (Su) and 14 (Yui & Moa) years old. They set a record being the youngest female fronted band to sell out that arena. 2 back-to-back shows of 20000 people. It was right before they embarked on their first overseas shows that really introduced them to the world.
By the way, I recommend you eventually do "Babymetal - Tales of the Destinies (Tokyo Dome Live 2016) Eng Subs". This has only ever been performed live once. You'll see why when you watch the video. 🤘🦊🤘
No, no bad songs. But there are bad videos. Mostly ones with bad audio (like anything from Glastonbury). But for a band that has done so many performances that have been captured on video there are good, better, best versions of most songs. Usually if it is live and in Japan (one man or festival) then it will be pretty good.
Next, reaction Babymetal - Rondo Of nightmare (w/ Mischiefs of Metal Gods Intro) | LIVE at Budokan Black Night ruclips.net/video/tmMocP99QkQ/видео.html
Just want to repeat my earlier comment. Babymetal is definitely #NotACult. That will be especially clear if you watch the Legend 1997 version of this live performance. I won't spoil, but let me just say at that concert 16 year old Su, on her birthday, will be reborn into a Heavy Metal Godess!🦊🤘
👍 👍 This performance was actually from 2014 (I believe). Suggest this HQ pro shot of a recent performance that I think will give you an idea of what to expect going forward. Megitsune LIVE Babymetal Black Night 2023 ruclips.net/video/lt9Lq8Yeih0/видео.htmlsi=yyvXqrctjtsPQP8J Good luck.
This is a very good version. But take a look at the Legend 1997 version also. It is different. Very different. No need to react to it though if you do not want to. Others have already said it, but what this really do is saying "Hello we are Su, Moa and Yui, we are Babymetal". Just in a more metal way.
Different but ok. Check out Tommy Johansson cover of Black Sabbath ( Headless Cross) , You need to do Tommy on Mondays on request covers and Tommy on Fridays for the one he releases each week. Im here wit you Daniel everyday love your channel.
You picked the absolute worst version of all of the BM Death videos. There's no cross. No crucifixion of Su. No fire. This isn't a valid representation of the song and its spectacle. Bad choice.
Haha, nice one. "BABYMETAL DEATH" is their staple concert intro song, this video, to 2014's Legend Doomsday show at Budokan. However, they do use it sometimes as a closer as well. Megitsune MV, monochrome live, Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live, pa pa ya live, road of Resistance live in Japan...imma send the Fox 🦊 God after you! 🤣 P.S. this version you watched didn't include the theatrical "sacrifice" thing they do halfway thru the song...great reaction tho, keep them coming!
Glad you are keeping going with BabyMetal, they never disappoint 🤘🦊🤘
Your face 😂😂😂😂. Great reaction again 🤘🤘
You absolutely must watch the Legend 1997 version of this. It is the DEFINITIVE performance of this song. Trust me, it is a performance you will NEVER forget!
Great reaction as always. This is the first time I have seen a reactor react to this version.
You have to see the right one from the Legend 1997 tour for real
To this day it is their opener for their concerts and holy shit this is making your blood boil and gives you energy for the things to come^^
the legend 1997 version was my go-to video that I sent to people who said that Babymetal are not "metal" :D
Can’t wait for you to do Road of Resistance Live in Japan. There are parts where you will stand up and wonder how girls 17 and 15 can perform like this and control a crowd like this
The complete name is 'BABYMETAL DEATH' and you should watch the video:
BABYMETAL DEATH | Legend 1997 (Complete)
(Sorry about the wall!)
KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
Babymetal is just crazy...and I love it
Thanks for the reaction Daniel 🦊🤘
Next indulge yourself with "Headbanger night of 15 mix", completed with "Ave Maria" intro.
Edit:An interesting take posted on BABYMETAL REDDIT by VulpineDeity:
Take it a step farther.
Waiting patiently for Amore, my favorite Su solo. ❤

This is also one of Su-Metal's favorite songs they perform.
great reaction❤ KAMI BAND is cool!🤘🦊
Point, click, and win is accurate when it comes to BABYMETAL

Brilliant 👌
Apparently the girls’ lightsabers are longer than the audience’s 💀😄😁😆 Their producers are big Star Wars fans. Thanks for your great reaction.
You need more Babymetal
Dude! definatley time for "Doki Doki Morning" next after "BABYMETAL DEATH".
BABYMETAL FOREVER

Babymetal Death. Epic ❤❤❤
The best Babymetal era... ❤❤❤❤
No, no bad songs. But there are bad videos. Mostly ones with bad audio (like anything from Glastonbury). But for a band that has done so many performances that have been captured on video there are good, better, best versions of most songs. Usually if it is live and in Japan (one man or festival) then it will be pretty good.
🤘🦊🤘
YOU NEED TO SEE BABYMETAL DEATH LEGEND 1997 ITS INSANE

What did i just watch!
👍 👍
This performance was actually from 2014 (I believe).
Suggest this HQ pro shot of a recent performance that I think will give you an idea of what to expect going forward.

Good luck.
Its me again
Of course iam here for the MOIMOI ❤
Yui and Moa
Those two pigtail girls combined are the BABYMETAL
This is a very good version. But take a look at the Legend 1997 version also. It is different. Very different. No need to react to it though if you do not want to.
Others have already said it, but what this really do is saying "Hello we are Su, Moa and Yui, we are Babymetal". Just in a more metal way.
Wasn't even their epic video. The concert from 2014 was even more intense.
Budokan desu.

Different but ok.
Check out Tommy Johansson cover of Black Sabbath ( Headless Cross) , You need to do Tommy on Mondays on request covers and Tommy on Fridays for the one he releases each week.
Im here wit you Daniel everyday love your channel.
Totally agree, it's outstanding cover👍
Just ok huh?
You don't have a clue.
nah
You picked the absolute worst version of all of the BM Death videos. There's no cross. No crucifixion of Su. No fire. This isn't a valid representation of the song and its spectacle. Bad choice.
