Thank you so much for the explanation on dry eye. You pinpointed exactly the cause of my dry eye... as you explained, I placed a warm cloth around the eyes, five minutes later a small tear or fluid came out and it relieved the pressure. Hopefully it can keep unblocking the tears to moisturize the eye. Thanks again.

also give a try to thicker contacts if you are using daily contacts. Meaning try monthly lenses. A lot of people and doctors usually push dailies for people with dry eye issues but in my case I have benefited from having thicker lenses. Especially at the end of the day, they are such a relief. They give you a more flat experience. Dailies start amazing at first, but end of the day is a torture for me.

Very informative. Question? Can we use the opti-free cleaning solution as eye drops or rewetting?
I have dry eyes, my doctor gave me some loauid that I can use while wearing contacts but it doesn't have a long effect, maybe it's because I am only wearing them for 2 days and I still take a long time to put them on and they fall and when I finally put them on, they are already super dry

Hi! Im a newbie to contacts. I started wearing them a few days ago, and it feels clear but off at the same time. It "fogs up" easily, i have to blink my eyes a lot more than compared to using glasses. Ive tried putting Alcon artificial tears and it made the vision blurrier and drier, not sure why maybe because i put in 3-4 drops each time which is too much
Do you know if dry eyes can also cause sudden burning to the eye through out the day?
Can the anti histamine eye drops work with RGP lenses

It's been a few months since I started wearing contacts. Since the past few days, when I have my contacts on, on one eye, I feel like there is something small on the contact lens, so it is not irritating per say, but I do feel like something is in. What may perhaps be the issue?
hi! it's been a week since i got my contacts and my eyes get really dry occasionally. i am actually a first-year architecture student and i usually work with small, highly detailed drawings all day. do you think that could be the reason?
Yeah must be the lack of blinking as high detailed work can significantly reduce the blink rate. My suggestion is either go with glasses or have some contact lens compatible eye drops next to you for relief
Ya same with me too .my eyes dry out turn red .plz suggest one eye drop to use .
My lens are folded for 3 days and it won't come back to it's original shape as its stuck to itself and no amount of solution is able to separate the stuck ends .. please suggest what should i do ?

I’ve had my contacts for two weeks now but I feel like my vision gets blurry several times through out the day for a couple seconds. Is this because they’re shifting and/or my eyes are getting used to them? Also, I get a lot of eye boogers when I wear them. Is there anything I can do for that?

Could be some protein build up, try a peroxide based solution or give your optometrist a visit for a more thorough check
The options said my contact lenses probably fall out when blinking after like 3 hours of wearing them because of how dry my eyes might be. How do i stop my eyes from getting so dry that my contacts don’t last long in my eyes. I don’t want to go to a concert and my contacts fall out when blinking BEFORE THE CONCERT EVEN STARTS. I had to put my glasses on and watch the concert with glasses on.
What about excessive blinking and watery eyes while wearing them?

Hi doc!So far I'm loving your videos, your videos about contact lens I are quite helpful. I'm a new contact lens wearer,the first time I tried them my eyes were completely fine but Now as I wear them my eyes get a lil' bit red and irritated at first but after 2-3 mins they get normal.Is this a sign of dry eyes?
Dry eyes can definitely cause those symptoms, probably best to have it checked out! 😁
I was using Acuvue Oasys for years, no complaints! Suddenly- now discontinued? Why? I was switched to Acuvue Oasys Multi focal and they dry out after 12 hours per day. Must change brands, these lenses are a waste of money and do NOT last more than 10-12 days! I try for 21-28 days per contact lenses. I only wear 12 hours per day. I hope B&L is better than Acuvue Multifocal? so sad! I even would buy extended wear contacts and take out daily!
Hey doc, love your videos, but I have a concern. My contacts get foggy after like half an hour of use and I won’t be able to see my ophthalmologist for a few weeks so I’m not sure what to do.

@@AntonioTheOptom yes, I’ve been using it for months now. Everything was fine up until allergy season hit. After that, the problem started. So I’m not sure what to think

I literally just make sure my contact lense is suuuuuuuuuuuuper wet before I put them in. It helps a lot, idk why.

I have been using Bausch and Lomb Purevision 2 contact lenses with the same cleaning fluid for more than 7 years now...but only since last year I started experiencing irritations, dry eyes, to the point that I almost cannot keep my eyes open anymore (even giving a sense of feeling tired)...and Ive addressed this to my opticien and she only tries to upsell those eyedrops that do not really work..Do you have any advice for me? What should I do, who to contact?
Go see an optometrist, if not an ophthalmologist

I have forgotten to put my toric contact lenses into solution for one day ... should I wear them again as they are in solution for 9-10 days..??
My contact solution leaked from my case and I did not keep track of the case for over 2 weeks so I'm unsure when it leaked. The lenses aren't brittle or dry though. So let me know if you found an answer.
