That came out so nice. It isn't necessary to soak synthetic hair in conditioner as it is basically plastic and the conditioner will only ever sit on the surface. The water/conditioner emulsion can be sprayed on or you can dip it in and make sure all the hair is covered and then let air dry. Fabric softener is an even better option to mix with water as it softens wigs and also reduces the shine of synthetic hair slightly, and most importantly when not rinsed out it keeps the hair from tangling horribly. I mix 1 part conditioner or fabric softener to 3 parts water in a spray bottle and I always get great results :-)

@@akinrodoyebunmi150 In the USA it is in the stores wherever laundry detergent is. I don't know about other places but I would say look for it where the detergent is. If not you can use hair conditioner.

@@miamonroe4195 The fabric softener coats the synthetic strands so that they tangle less, and it also slightly etches the surface to reduce the shininess and make it look more like human hair.

I just bought my first synthetic wig. I used thinning shears to make it more manageable. However, every time I put it on without a wig cap, it itches my scalp? Is this normal, because I am new to wig wearing.

I learned from having to suddenly wear wigs all the time, that the more you wear a wig, the softer the inside (cap side) becomes. The itch is from the cap being new. Eventually it will feel like sliding on a soft slipper!
