  • Part 2 of 105 peacock bass and largemouth bass I caught in 1 day while fishing in the Florida Everglades. I caught these bass in less than 8 hours and could of caught much more if I wanted to. To the best of my knowledge I am the first person on RUclips to post videos of catching over 100 peacock bass in 1 day. The name of the road I was fishing by is called Tamiami Trail and this road is close to Miami. The road is also known as US 41. I have been fishing these places in the Everglades for over 25 years and I highly recommend fishing here if you enjoy catching lots of fish on artificial lures. At this moment in time the Everglades is the best place in Florida to catch large amounts of peacock bass. All bass where caught on artificial lures and all bass where released.
    After editing these videos I noticed that I actually caught 106 bass on this day and 2 bass did not show since my GoPro did not save them. That is ok since I had a awesome day and have most of the bass in these 2 videos. In total I caught 104 peacock bass and 2 largemouth bass. My Wife made the Thumbnail Art for both Part 1 and Part 2.

      For the Love of Fishing Thank you for watching! I am glad you enjoyed the video and I hope to have more days like this where I catch lots of fish on lures. Winter-Spring is usually the best time to catch large amounts of bass in the Everglades but it is possible anytime in the year if the conditions are good. The Everglades is flooded this Winter from all the rains last year which usually is less than optimal conditions yet the fish where still biting extremely well as you saw in my video. Will post more fishing videos in the next couple of weeks.

    I think what fascinates me the most is how you seem to have caught all those fish in only like 3 different spots. Or at least that's what it looked like anyway. Fish after fish after fish just casting in the same little bit of water over and over again. I think bluegills on the beds are about the only time I've seen action like that in a small area.

      Casual Carolina Fishing Thank you for watching! Yes I only fished a couple spots and caught over 100 peacock bass in less than 8 hours. I could of caught much more peacock bass if I wanted to but my Wife and I agreed it was enough for the day. The Everglades is a very special place thriving with life and I am very grateful to live close to it. Thinking of fishing for panfish in the next couple of weeks and if I catch any nice ones I will make a panfish fishing video.

    Another great video. You were slaying them out there. I noticed most of the fish on the tamiami trail are bland looking. Do you know what makes them more colorful? 👍

    • @Grouperhunter
      @Grouperhunter  3 года назад +1

      Peeling Line Thank you for watching! I have also noticed that many of the peacock bass from the Everglades are not as colorful as the ones I catch in other locations. It could be that the genetics of these fish are different, what they are eating, or other factors. I have caught some brightly colored peacock bass in the Everglades so they are definitely in there. With that said the peacock bass in Everglades are extremely healthy and pound for pound fight much better than any northern fish I have caught.

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine 3 года назад +1

      @@Grouperhunter With other species that I have caught in muddy water they turn bright in the clear water say in a bucket. But down there it is all clear water.

    • @Grouperhunter
      @Grouperhunter  3 года назад +1

      Peeling Line The water in the Everglades is clear but stained since it is tannic water. The largemouth bass in the Everglades also seem to be darker colored compared to other places I fish with clearer water. These fish are extremely healthy and it is very fun to able to catch over a hundred fish on lures in a couple hours. There are many places in Florida where the water is muddy colored so not everywhere in Florida has clear water.

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine 3 года назад +1

      @@Grouperhunter That must be it. I heard someone else mention tannins in that water.

    • @Grouperhunter
      @Grouperhunter  3 года назад

      Peeling Line It could be the tannic water since a lot of the fish I catch in the Everglades are darker colored compared to other places I fish. Thinking of fishing for panfish soon and maybe make a panfish fishing video and other species specific videos. Let me know what other South Florida species you would like to see in my channel and if I am able to catch them I will make a video of them.
