Mistake about 9:00 or so...
Rob isn't changing the pip value to reflect the number of lots
1 micro lot (.01) = .10 per pip
5 micro lots (.05) = .50 per pip x 10 pips = $5
1 mini lot (.1) = $1 per pip
7 mini lots (.7) = $7 per pip x 10 pips = $70
1 standard lot (1) = $10 per pip
20 standard lots (20) = $200 per pip x 10 pips = $2000

Have you ever tried - *The Semyon Tchernenko Strategy* - (Have a quick look on google and can't remember the place now ) ? Truly appreciate how detailed this video is. Most traders are searching for that elusive method where they never lose or can win eight or nine trades out of 10, amassing huge profits in a short amount of time with no risk, which I'd say is ill advised
successful trading takes time. There is always a risk, and it needs to be defined and controlled.
Those traders will learn ne way or another. Trading is like anything in this life...if you go unprepared, you will be burnt. only a few have turned $1,000 into hundreds of thousands. Most people will not.
The things is some strategies are extremely hard to understand and it’s not really easy to incorporate into my trading plan, it’s really exhausting

understand it, and stick to it. Trading is mentally taxing.
Not everyone is built for the ups and downs as they come;
you're probably better off hiring an expert advisor to trade for you.
It's a safer way to reduce risk and earn while taking your time to learn the ropes.

You are great at explaining pips and what they are worth. It took me 5 videos to finally feel comfortable on how to properly calculate pips
Good lesson, though an error in calculation occurred towards the end of the class... I got confused with the pip calculation exercise, It was terrible to me... And at first your student got the first answer of $70 but Rob said $7 so the poor student have no choice than to agree with his masters answer.

Rob, thanks for all the info. I am having a problem w/ the math. Your examples are:
10 pips w/ 7 mini lots and your answer was $7. Isn't Nate actually correct w/ $70? Mini lot pip value = $1, # of pips 10, # of lots 7.
10 pips w/ 5 micro lots. Micro lot pip value = $0.10, # of pips = 10, # of lots = 5 for $5.
10 pips w/ 20 standard lots. Standard lot pip value = $10, # of pips = 10, # of lots = 20 for $2000. Please point out the mistake I am making.

Yup. If 1 Lot is $10 per pip and 10 pips = $100, then multiply $100 by 20 and it's $2000. You can notice he's confused @ 8:58 ;). Peace

This was so helpful, I needed to learn these asap. I was fortunate to receive indicators from a friend that really helped with analyzing the chart and filter all the noise that makes you paranoid when trading. If you want to be successful in forex or any trading you need Customized indicators that have been analyzed for years.

Mini lod - 70
Micro - 5
Standard - 2000

Yes, just caught that as well, 10 pips times 7 is $70 as .7 is $7 per pip

Great content Rob. My advice to the more simple minded people is to invest in ETFS and index funds. Just to make sure to pay yourself first whenever you get paid. I have seen a great deal of success for I’ve only been investing for 3years now. I study my goals and put few hours of study into the market each week with portfolio handler. We should all do the same, if not more!

I keep calculating the last example but my answer comes out different. If you made 10 pips on 20 standard lots the usd amount will be $2000. 20 x $100 (10 pip) = $2000. Correct me if I am wrong.

Not 25 dollars, the correct answer is 5 dollars
Regarding the quiz at the end of the video, the answers are incorrect. You should correct them so newbies don't get confused. The answers would be correct for 1 pip but not for 10 pips. You were probably thinking 1 pip but saying 10 pips. Good luck and keep them coming.

Could someone help me? I noticed that in this video that when describing compounding profits by increasing amount per pip size a discrepancy. In that video, (And every other one I can find.) It shows that a full lot is worth $10 per pip .50 is worth $5 a pip and so forth down to the micro lots. However, it doesn't seem to work that way for me. I trade with Oanda and use MT4. I use 50:1 margin. (No not all the time. I try to only trade 1-2 % of my account.) When I trade one standard lot per pip it only counts as $1.00. .50 only counts as $0.50... etc down the line. Am I doing something wrong with the settings or something? Thank you for any help in advance!

How much would be a safe % to leverage of your total account if you were trading with 1:100, 1:500, or 1:1000 leverage? There is a lot of talk about risking just 1-2% or maybe 5% of your account, but wouldn't all of this depend on your leverage? Or maybe I'm confused. Let me know!

In the example using mini lot; 10 pips in 7 mini lot not is $7.00 dollars per pip, I think it is $70.00 dollars per pip. ¿I'm right?

What is a trade time in USA on forex
I still can't understand. So if i had on my account 1500 $ and would like to buy 0,01 lot of EUR/USD, which value is e.g. 1,1132, it would cost me 1132 $ right? Because micro lot is for 1000 units of the currency. Please help, completly lost.
If 1 standar Pip its equal to $10 then 20 standar lot size should be $200 so if 20 standar lot size raise 10 pip should be $2,000 correct?

Yes I did try Mike. unfortunately I was unable to retrieved my capital and profit. I was asked to paid commission upfront in order to get my profit.
