    The lot size depends on your strategy, especially your sl. You shouldn't risk more than 1-3% per trade. Then you can calculate the lot size with your sl. Propper risk management is very important when it comes to trading

    How does leverage affect this?

    I am confused , when i open an account firstly i have to choose Standart-micro-mini etc.
    and then MT4 has values from 0.1 to 100 sizes , which contains all kind of lots . So why do I have to choose ???

    Hey! Great content :) Thanks!
    I have a question though.. If I'm on tradingview and I risk $50 on a 50 pip stop loss - the value of my pip is $1.
    So, why is the "trade value" over $17,000??? What is that trade value and how would effect a live account with $5k in it?

      @annau1281 4 года назад +3

      Hello, people get confused with this a lot sizes. The question your asking is where leverage comes in to play. What he is essentially saying is that if you was to place a trade with 0 leverage for every 10p you would make you would need to invest into the market $1,000 however people would not consider this worth it because it would take a very large account size to even make a decent amount. So what the brokers do is allow you to borrow their money. Sometimes when you're setting up an account you may see leverage options such as 1:500. What this means is that for every $1 you invest the broker will give you $500. This is why with a leverage of 1:500 account the example you have when you invest $50 the broker is actually giving 25,000. This is what you call leverage. You do not want to over leverage because you end up risking more of your account. I hope this helps answer your question.

    I have a 100 $ account now. It will increase soon. In my head 0.01 lot side = 1000 $. So with my small account I am automatically trading bigger than 0.01 lot size no matter if I want to or not?

    Hello it's a very nice video, very informative. I have a specific Qs, if it's possible to reply - Suppose, I have an account of 3500 USD. Margin 1:500. If I take each trade position of 0.05 USD [5 cents] and maximum total 14 trades open - total value 14 x 0.05 = 0.70 USD [70 cents] - is it good - bad - over trading, can you shed some light if possible? Thank you for help.

    Micro or mini trade sizes are fine with small equity but sir you did not clarify how many open trades at a given time. Do you mean only one trade at one time and the 2nd trade only after we close the 1st trade.

    • @MattEssex33
      @MattEssex33 5 лет назад

      lol the guy in the video is just making videos for his RUclips account, not actually about educating people on how to really trade. This entire video is nonsense. I will answer your question, if you are trading within one trading account then your risk should always be the same per trade, so just do one trade per time. However, if you are trading specific lot sizes and you have enough equity to trade more than one at a time then sure you can, as long as both trades meet all your backtesteed strategy rules.

    i had Ambition doing forex but now i decided to give up because you said if you win 100pips with lot size of 1/standard and your account is $1,000 your account will closed so why if am smart and it is my lucky answer plz

    • @simbamusa8677
      @simbamusa8677 5 лет назад +1

      LEARN ALL TECHNOLOGY he said if your losing 100pip on 1standard lot you gonna lose 1000$. If you are winning 100 pips your are profiting $1000. In reality you don’t wanna trade 1standard on small account and you have to use risk management that’s why we stop loss. If your stop loss was 10 pips the trade would automatically close that’s means you only lost $100.

    If the trade is going against me and I went down the amount of PIPS that is equivalent to blowing up my account, but if I wait to regain the PIPS and not close the trade, do I get a margin call?
