You have to appreciate things for what they are. This figure came out around 1988, and for that time, this figure blew peoples minds away. Personally, I got a Quickswitch recently, and I love the guy, with all the flaws he might have.
I'm so glad my parents bought me Sixshot when I was a kid, I would have hated Quickswitch . After hearing Sixshot is hard to come by, I'm very happy I hung onto it over the years. I still have all the parts.
Quickswitch and SIxshot could both do with Generations remakes, both would be best also being retooled differently from one another like Sandstorm was from Springer. Would be nice to see if done right
In the Japanese version of G-1 and Headmasters, Sixshot was Quickswitch's father. I was also fortunate to have both of them when growing up, ages ago in the days of G1, and if I still had them they would've been handed down to my nephew.
Unlike you, I kinda like this guy and don't against to pick him up. He just need a little bit more articulation, paint I think and maybe guns, fix some problems with him, if you actually have them and all, everything with this g1 toy will be fine after that as it should be!
Nice review Spada! This figure is pretty cool, but i wish he was as good as Sixshot. The modes just don't look as good, botmode being the weakest. I will respond with my review of Sixshot that i did a while ago. Took some practice to get that review under 10 minutes LOL.
Why does everyone knock this figure its beast mode looks better than sixshot and only thats bad is the gun mode but gun modes are bad anyways unless your shockwave
@sethandjon That's not true for Blitzwing. The G1 Blitzwing could be transformed without removing any parts, and each mode looked like what it was supposed to. As opposed to Astrotrain which transformed into a shuttle-like train, and a train-like shuttle.
You know, when you went into wolf mode, i recognised this figure, it's the wolf legs i recognise, and i remember using it, back then i don't even think i knew it was a transformer :|
Beast looks more like a lion (with the blockiness behind the head as a mane). Incidentally I think Sixshot looks more like a bear, considering how chunky he is. Also, I reckon the plane mode would have worked better as some sort of VTOL craft with the legs angled differently and some rotors sprouting out of them. But this is late-80s G1 so what you gonna do?
In 1984 I LOVED TRANSFORMERS... in 1986 i was 9 years old.... and i totally lost interest in all these big plastic pieces of crap that were so simple and had stupid ass alternate modes that looked like nothing.. honestly at 9 yeears old i was making much better looking transformers out of lego that hasbro were producing.
i mean it wasnt even these six changers that looked bad... kup and blurr looked shit to me.. AT 9 YEARS OLD.... galvatron looked bad... hot rod was ok cos at least he had a coolish car and good transformation.. but generally.... even that young at 9 years old seeing all these big plastic things with such simple transformations really angered me.... to me omega supreme looked like a 2 years old toy gone bad.. metroplex and scorponok were literally just a transformer sitting down and having a stupid alternate mode... i really dont get why people my age have such nostalgia for these big ass pieces of crap plastic.. to me the only transformers were the 84 and 85 one taken from other japanese companies

In the Japanese continuity, Quickswitch is Sixshot's estranged son and a member of the Wreckers.

Reina Watt you can see the future can you

"Aero--dynamic"
Haha nice pun dude
I'm calling it. Upcoming Titans Return Sixshot remold.
Jonathan Lee that would definitely work with some remolding as of their relations and modes.
yup :)
and it happened
That's really cool. You get a robot-like mode, a beastish mode, and 4 different BOX modes.
Quickswitch: son of Sixshot
i hope this guy gets him
i saw sixshot at massmoco

Nice Review Spada!
brilliant idea! a Transformer..that transforms into a brick! There now we have a literal brick
You can also make the GRIFFIN mode. Like the wolf, but instead of the wolf head, you put the "jet nose" up like a chicken head.
God damn! that Black Zarak, for killing Quick Switch/Six Knight
a ninjas burial

Awesome review!!!!
Still, pretty cool they made a G1 figure that could have so many modes - great review!
this guy sure is fun, would get him on ebay the first out of all g1 figures.
it would be cool if they brought back as a BEASTWARS GUY
dude, don`t say ill about him! He was my favorate when I was kid!
Why does everyone knock this figure its beast mode looks better than sixshot and only thats bad is the gun mode but gun modes are bad anyways unless your shockwave
Three and a half years later and he finally reviews Sixshot, but still doesn't compare the two. I kid Spada ;^p
(\I I/)
Wolf, don't you mean puma?

This guy is in desperate need of a modern update.
***** Yeah, maybe both him and daddy Six Shot.
***** That aren't from Mastermind Creations which look cool but you have to pay up the ass only because it's a third party toy.
I have to agree they both need a modern update and also in my opinion sky lynx as well
Looks like he is wearing a nappy.
@DayLateReviewer its a "flying puma"
ait quickswitch sixshots son

Six shot's beast mode is a wolf,not a bear
I only said he "looks more like a bear" than a wolf due to chunkiness. :)
there was that guy in victory too
Greatshot
But this guy is still very cool
i are gona to get them all in my colection
I'm going to get this instead of sixshot from tfsource
this sounds to me like Doubleclouder from the Masterforce series.
Doubledealer,i might add
2018 anyone?
in my oppinion six shot is easily 6 times better but this guy still looks cool
I get the joke 👍
Not jet fighter mode, it's a space fighter mode you know were aerodynamics are irrelevant.
Sheesh dude it's a toy.
Boat mode definitely a hydrofoil
you forgot brick mode its even usable in irl... oh wait... thats everymode...
Yeah six shot is so much better
Sixshot-the chrome reissue from Takara-just kills.......
Quickswitch, really bland....besides gun mode maybe
all modes are bad, I never liked this figure, it seems ugly to me, but the video is very good
You sound like Birthday Boy Blam from One Night At Flumpty's 2
