Its very saddening how the words "groomer" and "pedo" have lost all meaning. What Tyler did wasn't okay, you should never send inappropriate things around kids, even if its meant as a joke. But why do these actions make her a pedophile? Even if these things are true, i just cannot wrap my head around why it equates to wanting to actually touch kids, and why it equates to people like fave, koneko, and other groomers of the past. Ruben is trying to frame it as if Tyler has fully pedophelic intentions with her actions, but i believe that Ruben has grown a massive ego and wants to believe he is some sort of hero in any given situation, and that's why he really wants to believe he is doing some sort of big expose on a dangerous person.
This isnt even entertaining. Its just sad. A poor, truamatized girl is getting harassed for mistakes she made in the past, ones she truly feels bad and wants to apologize for. I do agree what Tyler did is gross, but there is a very fine line between gross and pedophilia. Ruben is right, she is weird, disturbed, and needs help. i skipped through the last bits after ruben left but here's my two cents if any of yall wanna read:
1. i’m confused as to why fishing then proceeded to post a followup video instead of taking down the videos against ruben sim, please tell me if i missed something or if ruben did something else outside of it
2. this whole thing at the start just seemed so double sided, if that's the right term. It cleared up in the end but if they stopped arguing sooner and i was put in a room with the two of them and i had a gun i’d line them both up to get a collateral kill, they both were just throwing back stuff at each other for the first 10 minutes.
3. 15:11 why'd you start spamming 9/11 emojis here @vinfant
4. i think it’s not okay for ruben to make any ‘joke posts’ about that love letter thing, considering the things his audience has done in the past. if i learned anything from this whole argument its that ruben is either one of those people who says ‘it's just a joke’ to defend themselves or just doesn’t acknowledge the fact that his community, although likely a smaller amount of it, is filled with people who will go to extreme lengths to punish people who only supposedly did something bad just because they’re favorite roblox user said they did. either one is bad.
5. i personally don’t think gone_fishinq is fully in the right either, as both parties shouldn’t be making comments, even if they are meant to be ironic, about the things they said (i dunno if saying what they said here will get me banned so i’ll stay safe and just refer to this: 5:44 ).
6. lastly, i think that the only good thing we can take from this is that they both tried to just put it behind them in the end, even if one of them (and i don't know which) was not genuine. i think that at some point down the line, even though it’s a little delusional, they could become better people and maybe even friends and learn from each other if they are actually able to stop arguing and admit they’ve both done bad things, while most of which aren’t excusable, can be forgiven with a lot, and i mean a lot, of time.
7. tldr, both parties are somewhat in the wrong (at least i think so with what i currently know), i don’t know why fishinq still posted a follow up, and i think they were at least both right to at least try and end it there despite that clearly not going well somehow.
