Thanks so much for this. I love your version because you speak really fast, no fluff and BS, then straight to the settings that we should use for exporting. Love it, and keep up the great work Tyler!
Thank Tyler, really appreciate it. I used your settings (except doing it with hardware encoding) and it was actually a lot faster than the 4k YT Preset from Adobe (like twice as fast!). Looks like it has to do less encoding because my RTX3090 was on 80% usage at max and Processor Ryzen 9 5900 was only at 60%... So thanks again!
Update: I fixed the slow export times by choosing hardware encoding; either the preset or I mistakenly set software encoding which is much slower. Tyler, thanks for the tip. I shot a choir song with the iPhone 15 Pro at 4K/60 in Apple ProRes Log. The 3 min 53 sec file was 37.5 GB. Made me smile. Using your settings, the export took around 5.5 hours (approximate because I let it run at night). But, wow, the quality of the exported 1.3 GB file was wonderful. I'm kind of wondering if the export time is unusually long for ProRes Log, or if it's about what's expected. I used Freelab for the Rec.709 conversion, but I don't see how that would increase the export time. Anyway, an interesting experiment, and the quality is amazing, so thanks again. Tech: i5 12600, RTX 3060, 32GB RAM, fast Samsung SSDs.
Great vid as always! What are your thoughts for posting to RUclips, just use the RUclips 4K preset since RUclips will compress any super high res vids anyway? 🧐
How would you compare hevc x265 to prores, cineform, or uncompressed. What do you think about the quality/time tradeoff? Also, youtube's recommended upload settings has the AAC bitrate at 384 kbps.
Can i use it for Instagram feed? Please can you answer about this question because I want best setting and export for Instagram feed I don’t find any reference to video explaining for that all for reels thanks 🙏🏽
@@aidanrogers1087 I have a Soultion / i know were the problem is long story short we as macbook (M- Chip) users cant use HEVC, i use the normal h.264 AND we cant use CBR (Bitrate Settings) i personally use VBR, 1 pas. I hope i could help u out mate
Good quality is nice and all except once you upload to youtube it seems to play as if it's lost frames like it's jittery with some fast movements if it was true 60 like I exported it as it would be buttery smooth but anytime i put it on youtube it's no longer true 60 and isn't enjoyable to watch if you notice things like that
This unfortunately didn't help me. I'm on a Macbook Pro from 2021 and these settings for whatever reason want to take over 10 hours to export. And this is with hardware or software
In 2023 I think it really just depends on the content you are creating. I would edit a video on a phone that requires minimal effects and use a computer for video that require more.
@@OfficialTylerWhite I have premiere rush but it doesn’t have the 4k selection . I don’t see “premiere pro” on the App Store is there another name for it
My video does not show black bars on top and bottom when editing the exporting at these settings. But once it is done with the export the final product file has black bars. Any advise?
if u shoot in 60 ... when u bring it into adobe dont u have to put it to 30 fps? or can you put it in 24 and it will still be the best quality?? im wondering what the rule is. or do we export it as 24 everytime for the best quality regardless of what we shoot in?
I made a video on this topic if you want to check it out ruclips.net/video/evvRaaRgv1k/видео.html in short each frame rate is going to look a bit different. Exporting at 24fps is used for cinematic films because it shows natural motion blur, 30fps is what's used for most television broadcasting and 60fps is typically used for gaming content. I hope this helps!
Any idea why after exporting a project that the footage is choppy? I've done this a handful of times without issue using the same settings, but this project WILL NOT behave. I''m running an Asus ROG w RTX Geforce and AMD Ryzen 9 5000 series. Very frustrating and I can't seem to find simple clear answers! HALLLLP
It was 100% that. I meant to come back and report, but I posted looking for answers several places - VLC was lagging and I fixed that with some settings changed. Thank you regardless for the reply! Ian
you can use a 60fps time line but export it in 30 fps, this won't affect anything I would recommend always cutting with sequins settings your clip are filmed in

Hi mate, What do you think Is best to render 1080 25fps? I’ve seen people saying to export in 4K to ensure RUclips gives maximum quality ?
It think it’s definitely worth it to upload in 4K if your workflow will allow it!
I don’t have the h.265 option
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
And keyframe diatance?
Thxx
Keyframe distance?
Do you have any suggestions for mobile editors?
So, I have an MacBook Pro m2 max with 96GB ram. I had exactly the same settings like you and the export wont even make it to 2% please help

@@OfficialTylerWhite also RUclips tends to lower the resolution after you upload it in 4k so what is the best way to keep it at 4k at all times

Double check your sequence settings. If you’re going for ultra wide try changing the frame size to 5120x2160. I hope this helps!
may i ask what’s wrong with just “exporting as 4K” option ??!
Did anyone try this setting? Let me know
As soon as I que it to media encoder and start it, it fails to export. Because it says out of memory...
On my MacBook it doesn’t give me the option to change the quality from Good to Highest?

these export settings will take about 4h for exporting a 4 minute 4k-video. any suggestions?
