I really loved this video. I have been struggling with what should be the next step in my art career and this video really helped me realize there are a lot of topics and mediums for me to research and read up on
This is probably my new favorite channel on RUclips! 😭 I feel like I’ve really found a kindred spirit in this one and I’ve never found so many good and concise recommendations in one place! I’ve been looking for something like this for years. Now, I’m only two videos in and already hooked. Thank you so much for what you do!
ahhhh!!! hey neddy!!! i've been binge watching your videos for the past few weeks! i'm an african artist as well and it's so cool to see someone who is my age and that looks like me, making art videos! also, this video was so nicely put together! the editing is breathtaking, the books look so beautiful (i might need to get some of those), also, the points you mentioned at the beginning are so important. art books must be read carefully and possibly several times! thank you so much again neddy! ❤️❤️
Omg !! This is such a sweet comment! Thank you so much for watching my videos! I’m so glad you enjoy my content and even more glad that you like the new video format!! As an African artist I totally understand how you feel and I’m glad I can be a form of representation ! 🤗🤗🤗 again thank you so much for leaving such a sweet comment! It really motivates me to keep posting videos 💝💝💝💝
@@NeddyisNeddy awww anytime Neddy!! 🥺❤ i'm so happy that my comment helped to motivate you! representation is so important and i'm glad that we're both able to contribute to it!! i can't wait to see your next video!! 🥰
First off, i Love the new filming + editing style... idk, something about it just makes me want to keep watching lol. Also I really like the content of the video, it makes me want to take art studying more seriously 😤💖
wow, amazing video! I have a question, so I sit down and open the book, then I start reading it and looking at the images on there, so am I supposed to copy those images to learn better or use those images as a reference to draw my own? thanks and greetings!
You can do whatever works best for you, but I usually do both! Copy and analyse what I see and then after use what I learned to create something myself. There’s no one way to study art😁
Every manga artist used the same books you have to learn how to draw Anatomy before you can start picking a style you have to learn the proportions of the human body
personally, i think these books are also good for that style too but if you want a more 'anime' style book, [LEZHIN] Point Character Drawing by taco is really good. it delves more into anatomy, and how to simplify things.
Compared to an anatomy book like Michael Hampton Andrew loomis's explanations are really dated and kind of hard to understand if you're a beginner. I bought his book the way he explains it it's complicated it's better just to watch the video because it's easy to understand. the type of language that he uses makes it really over really complicated. In the pictures that he shows that go with each chapter there's really no exercises. I guess it's understandable like it's a old book it was written in the 40s and like a new modern book would be much easier to understand

I wish I had the money to buuuuuy😭😭😭😭😭😭 all I got are EBOOOKS 😢😭😭😭😭😭
Same, and cuz I'm a poor artist 😂 when I want to buy one I hesitate cause I'm scared I'll be wasting so much money😂😂
just found your channel, i did not expect kyungsoo fnbdbd
Is it even a worthy video without an EXO reference? 😌😂
@@NeddyisNeddy the video was already very interesting but the kyungsoo cameo made it exceptional ahaha
