The Taco Bell in the 90s that I fondly remember is when they had the .59/.79/.99 menus. You could eat like a KING for $5...and do it 6 days a week, to boot, and not have to worry about draining your bank account. Taco supremes and the Nachos Bellgrande was my go-to. When they had the taco grande supreme for .99, I was as happy as a pig in slop. Plus, gas was only like $1.25 back then, so you could drive to TB every night if you wanted.
@KG-xt4oq 😂😂😂 There is nothing in Taco Bell that would constitute eating like a king. In fact, it's literally the opposite of eating like a king. Good stoner food, though....
The grilled stuffed burritos like the image featured on the window of the old TB building in the video were amazing. They were basically a deluxe version of the current grilled cheese burrito, as they also came with beans and pico de gallon. Hard to imagine those are 20-30 years old at this point
my local taco bell still has that older design on the exterior (somewhat) but the interior has been fully updated with the flat screen ordering panels and everything
Subway is a place I only go to if I have coupons. Same for KFC. The regular prices just aren’t worth it. Even the cheapest sandwich, the cold cut combo, is $9 for a foot long. It used to be $5 every day.
I bought one of those for my sister back when those commercials were on tv. I don’t think she has it anymore. Was 25 years ago. She had a glow worm as a baby. I thunk it still worked until a few years ago. The batteries were so old they corroded.
This is so cool Taco Bell in the 90s looks so cool. And dang back then the prices was cheap wow. I’m a teenager I have 2024 Taco Bell lol 😂. My family and I eat Taco Bell all the times Taco Bell is so good. I film RUclips videos on my channel trying their new food items. Thanks for sharing this i love the end with the dog that is a classic. I just subscribe to your channel turn on the bell I like the video. I am going to watch your other videos too you have my full support I can’t wait for your next video too. 1:37
What I don't understand is most of population prefers the old taco bell, the old menu items, the old McDonalds, and all our favorite food places in the old days, subway, wendys with that big salad bar and glass covered area. But yet none of them want to go back to that style or type, I hate it , better if we go back !
Taco Bell at least still has a real value menu. My favorite item on it now is the chicken enchilada burrito. I like the cheesy roll ups too. I can get 2 of the chicken enchilada burritos for $5, that’s not bad. The cheesy roll up was 99 cents, recently bumped to 1.19.
1:00 yeah sure things were cheaper then, but wages were lower the minimum wage was like $3-$5.15 an hour. Although, if you were middle class in the 90s and early 2000s then the cost of living is the American dream, but not for minimum wage workers and poor disabled people.
I never went to Taco Bell as a kid, or from what I recall, but the one in my hometown was untouched for almost a decade after it closed, and only a year or two ago now had been demolished then rebuilt into a Burger King....which was literally 2 addresses down from it on the same road. And the old sty;e Burger King doesn't exist anymore either. Must have been some kind of property adjustment, bc idk why Burger King would relocate some 20 yards from where they were. At least I got to see the old-style 90's interior one or two times before the reconstruction.
@@trolleetriesfood Back then you could get gorditas/chalupas in different flavors. Original supreme, Santa Fe, Baja, or nacho cheese. It was glorious! Santa Fe was awesome because it had a fresh tasting sauce, black beans and corn!

Life was way better back then I agree
Grande supreme for 99. Was great.
I remember the .59/.79/.99 menu. Today most of those items are 3 to 5 dollars.
For $5 you could feed a family of 5. It also was a lot better back then.

I miss all the good times I had in Taco Bell in the 90s

Taco Casa restaurants today remind me of Taco Bell’s in the 80’s.
Unc reminiscing the good old days
As a kid, my go-to's were: cheesy fiesta potatoes, a side of Mexican rice and a taco. Such good times.🙂

It definitely had more style back then. All the restaurants did. They’re all modern and depressing looking now. McDonald’s is a prime example.
*most of old population

When the Taco Bell in Hudson, FL (on us19 and st. Rd. 52) first opened it had a real bell in an archway on top of the building. It was quickly stolen.
Strawberry fruitista freeze, God i miss you.
What I miss the most is being able to feed an entire Army for what I have to pay now for just me
These were the days. I even miss the chihuahua.
Rip 🪦

Taco Viva was always much better. You could even get sangria there. Do any of those still exist?
I don’t think I’ve even heard of that place lol
@@trolleetriesfood It was all over Florida. Not sure it was nationwide.
@@StevenHughes-hr5hp It must have been because I’ve never seen one. Probably was good though.
Taco Bell is 100% not still one of the cheapest places to eat eat that is a bold face lie
Oh yeah it’s still expensive, but compared to other fast food places it is cheaper.
