  • This is my review after owning the Model 3 Standard Range Plus for over 6 months. I love the Model 3 but I do have regrets buying this specific Tesla Model 3 and hoping this video will help you make the right decision when ordering your own Tesla if you live in a similar climate.

    The weather in this video makes me glad I live near the equator where it doesn't freeze like that.

    Maybe don’t buy a RWD in a very snowy area 😭😭💀💀

  • @Fuzzle1985
    @Fuzzle1985 2 года назад +4

    Most fast cars use RWD and the fact you know it snows but didn't get AWD says more about you than Tesla. You get what you pay for or you reap whatever you get for not doing enough research.

    • @Destorrrrr
      @Destorrrrr 2 года назад

      You’re all over the place there bucko. The Long Range AWD is much quicker and faster than the SR RWD, so how does your first sentence have any bearing here?

    • @Fuzzle1985
      @Fuzzle1985 2 года назад

      @@Destorrrrr Was referring to two seater sports cars. You don't buy one of those to drive in snow. Not any different than getting a RWD Tesla in Canada of all places. Clearly the owner didn't think this purchase through when trying to save 10k.

    • @POGAuto
      @POGAuto  2 года назад

      I own a Model X so the 10k was not the main reason for your information. There was a federal incentive of 5k so I got it to make videos on a SR+ how it does in the winter, trip videos but it got in an accident and was being repaired for over 2 and a half months. I have always bought AWD vehicles in the past.

      @@Fuzzle1985 Been driving BMW coupes in the snow with good winter tires for 9 years without problems. Only time I've been stuck is in very deep snow where you would need a truck or an SUV anyways.

    Why would anyone that possibly gets snow get a SR RWD?

    • @POGAuto
      @POGAuto  2 года назад +2

      Yes not smart at all but I was thinking many people drive RWD cars in the city and Tesla not having heavy front will be better but pretty much same. Huge regret not getting Long Range especially when the prices went up and interest rates doubled

      My LR - Rwd did just fine in the winters of toronto. When it snows, the city ploughs are usually out ahead of it. its cold, but roads are clear and dry 80% of the winter. I dont even have snow tires. 1 day in the past two years it was epic snow and the schools were closed. That was a no go for my rwd tesla.

    Bro why would you buy a rear wheel drive if you live in a snowy state??????

    So it’s rear wheel drive, was then is now, but some how this is a surprise to the folk who spent a years wages on the vehicle! Some things they can’t teach you in school

      I did say why I regret buying this car. Incase you missed it I regret buying this Model 3 SR+ since I live in a place that has extreme cold days also snow in the end of April. Even with Nokian R3 winter tires I have been stuck with this Model 3. I wish I bought the Model 3 Long Range / Performance

      @@POGAuto in that case i agree with you, however next time give less information about the rest of the car and more about the issue in the matter then after that includes some extra for the viewers likings. God bless you. PS. Tesla offers trade in and for what I heard is pretty good in the matter of the value in return. Have an awesome day.

      @@POGAuto I own a M3 SR+ and I live in the same area you do and I have no issues at all with the range of my vehicle. In the winter I just adjust my driving and set the car into Chill mode. I've been driving my car back and forth to Canmore/Banff in the winter without any problems while I'm using all weather (S&M) tires.

    • @POGAuto
      @POGAuto  2 года назад

      Glad to hear that you have no issues in the winter. I do adjust my driving just like I would driving any other car during winter but this car does not perform or handle anywhere near a dual motor Tesla and I personally don't feel safe driving it in the winter. RWD is not a good car for winter that is my final take on it. Thanks for watching.
