Pls do not hurt or judge yourself. I suffer from unwanted thoughts to. They go away when we do not attach any emotion to them. Shaytan wants us to hurt ourselves. You are not alone. You are safe and loved inshaAllah

I have suffered from Waswaas Al Qahri for more than 6 years. For those who have just started to suffer this all I can say is PLEASE remain close to Allah, yours Deen and obedient to Allah SWT at any cost whatsoever.
Keep yourself busy with Good deeds, work, spend time in the masjid, etc etc.
My extreme waswaas come and go from time to time. You end up creating a coping mechanism overtime which makes if easier to manage.
Tell your mind/shaitaan that you will always remain a stubborn believer at any cost!
Read the Quran with understanding very frequently.
Rather than trying to completely eliminate waswaas al qahri ... just carry on creating better coping mechanisms

In ramadan of this year i started praying 5 times a day and i started researching about my deen and everything was going good before i was involved in many things that i didnt know at that time i researched and corrected my path everything was going very good.10 days ago i was watching some video online and i got a thought about something i went on youtube and watched a video it caused another thought and even though i got my answer but there was not satisfiction i started repeating my beleive about a certain thing of deen again and again in my brain saying this is what i believe but there was not satisfiction and this is how shaytan got hold of me and some days ago i woke up with a very very bad feeling and i could not believe few days ago i was guiding people about the deen and now how can i be thinking of this it caused a lot of stress in my life i was crying infront of Allah that please forgive me in every prayer in dua i lost apetite and my brain was always busy in telling my self this is my belief about this thing and it caused to loss interest for me in everything i was still praying about all my attention was at that thing.
Please i ask everyone Pray for me that Allah protect me and you from shaytan and give us hadiyat and give us jannah Ameen.

    1) I am feeling so foolish to see how you all are foolishly believing that those thoughts are of your own .. to be honest i was in this too few months ago .when i myself had thoughts that nouzubillah nothing exist and this made me think that i fall out of the fold of ISLAM so i repeated shadah for few times but still it made me think that i lost my imaan .This is the trick of shaitan i am hundred percent sure that you have started to have these doubts and thoughts just few days after you started practicing islam strictly and you know what, you did , you gave an alarm to shaitan when you started practicing, shaitan understood that now you will make your way to jannat ( following islam is different in which you believe in allah and pray occassionally and shaitan doesnt care about this type but as soon as you start practicing islam striclty shaitan gets alarmed) shaitan understands that now his old tactic of just making you fell lazy is not going to prevent you from practicing any more so he plays his another level of trick he starts making you feel that nothing exists and make you doubt your own faith . Alhamdulillah Allah made my way to few hadiths and ayats in which few sahabees whose level of faith and imaan can not be questioned they themselves came to muhammed s.a.w. saying that they had thoughts about kufr and shirk and muhammed s.a.w replied that this is a clear sign of faith just say aamantubillah and its all over hadith ends ...but shaitan will never let you know that these thoughts are not yours but of shaitan's and this makes you think that you have lost your imaan and you will literally cry and ask allah for returning your imaan and 🤣😂 this is how shaitan laughs on when you pray for your imaan because he succeeded in making you believe that these are your own thoughts the main part of this shaitan trick is that he makes you think that this is you thinking such things . Then main part to break this trick is to understand that these thoughts are of shaitan and now say Alhamdulillah and laugh and now shaitan will cry .but as mentioned in SURAH NAAS that SHAITAN never accepts loss he again returns with the same thought or may be different but the main part will still be the same that he will make you think that these thoughts are of your own otherwise you will not react to them if you know that those are from shaitan ...but i know he will do his best to make you believe that the doubts in allah is of your own . But whatever he tries never believe that these are of your own thoughts and that will start annoying him 😠😠and you will be freed inshallah for sure.
IF YOU FOUND THIS HELPFULL PLEASE PLEASE PRAY FOR ME TO GET HIDAYAT AND STRENGTHEN MY IMAN .
    2) THERE are 100 kg of gold and 50kg of diamonds in Meraj's house
    And
There are just 10kg of gold in sohail's house
Which house do you think that a thief will plan to loot ??
    Comeon answer
Ofcourse the thief will plan to loot meraj's house even if he requires to appoint few more thieves and even if he needs to buy a gun to loot meraj's house
This is HOW SHAITAN reacts to believer who doesnt practice and a believer who practices ..
You have got wealth of imaan in your heart and shaitan is trying to loot that by making you think that his waswasas that nothing exist are of your own
But if stop believing it , he will be powerless
you have got wealth of iman so PLEASE PRAY FOR ME BECAUSE ALLAH ANSWERS PRAYER OF PERSONS LIKE YOU please pray for my imaan and hidayat from allah..
    Alhamdulillah.

Those who are suffering, don't be afraid to seek professional help. I thought I'd be able to handle mine myself but it only got worse to the point that the stress started taking a toll on my physical health as well. My bad physical health (stomach problems etc.) caused me to have more waswasa about my wudu and purity and it turned into a horrible cycle. Now I've decided to get therapy and am on the process of being assigned a therapist and I already feel a bit better from just speaking to them about how I feel. Don't let shaitan win, mental health disorders are not shameful, speak to a doctor for your own good. May Allah cure as all. Ameen.

Spiritual healing is very promising in the case of mental illness. These three steps are very important for eliminating negative thinking.
1). Stop paying any attention to the thought is the first step to uproot the process of repetitive thinking.
2). Stay away from negative people (energy vampires)
3). Stay connected with your spiritual teacher.

Catholic Christian here, and this tormented me years ago when I was in college. Today, I can perfectly see the logic in how my fears and obsessions were a medical issue, but it wasn’t so easy in the moment. It’s also a relief to know that this is such a widespread phenomenon that every major religion has an ability to recognize this as something natural rather than something supernatural. I do have my convictions in Christianity that prevent me from embracing Islam, but keep doing the good work, guys. This is the stuff anybody can confront, regardless of their worldviews.

"If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allah, the One, the Prevailing."
      (QS. Az-Zumar 39: Verse 4)
"And say, Praise to Allah, who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification."

"They have said, Allah has taken a son. Exalted is He; He is the [one] Free of need. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority for this [claim]. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?"
      (QS. Yunus 10: Verse 68)
"The Jews say, Ezra is the son of Allah ; and the Christians say, The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved [before them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?"
      (QS. At-Tawba 9: Verse 30)
"[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing."
      (QS. Al-An'aam 6: Verse 101)

once you started giving answer then you would keep going inside negativity automatically and then it turns into disease.

Most important things for OCD patients, don’t try to reply negative thoughts,if you are giving then it would possess on your mind.
if you started fearing from your thoughts then it would constantly fed you up, we are MAN created by the Almighty,we shouldn’t have the fear of anything in our heart as well as in our mind.
it’s a intrusive thought which comes from outside. So ignore it.
IN SHORT BROTHER :- OCD is the game of fear.

JazakAllah onepath for making this amazing and most needed video. I have been searching for a video like this for so long now but this was the most reassuring video and it heled me clear my mind a bit. I have an OCD from wounds. It was a lot worse before than it is now. I have lost so many prayers now because of it. I had started feeling fine if I would get a wound on my hand but today I had a tiny would on my skin as I was doing skin care, I was totally fine until I realized that I had gotten a wound. Now I don't know how to do wuzu over it. Im scared of touching it but I have to in order to perform my wuzu. I just lost one prayer and I might lose another. I really don't know how to go around this. Please pray for me. I am getting better Alhamdulillah but it still gets to me sometimes. I really need all the prayers I can get. I know I will be better soon In Shaa Allah. It was a lot worse at one point so I am sure that one day all of these intrusive thoughts won't bother me anymore. May Allah help everyone who is suffering from any type of waswasa, OCD or any other mental illness. I know how it feels but I also know if we are working hard to come over it in order to better our salah and to stay connected, then we are performing just fine on Allah's test and we will be rewarded for all the effort we made to protect our salah and ibadah from obsessive thoughts and fought through them.

I may be having religious ocd because I had these thoughts abt ‘is god real, does Allah exist, should I be an atheist, what if Allah is not real, am I losing my imaan’? And it drives me crazy and I feel like I’m the only one who thinks this and that maybe it’s not shaytan and that I’m thinking these thoughts and not shaytan
But I try to stay strong cause no matter what Allah will help us and put our struggle at ease inshallah ❤️

Thank you so much brother for speaking on this topic. You don't know what burden this video has lift up from my chest. I always scolded myself because I thought I am the problem. I cannot control my thoughts.
I was 12 when I lost the control over my thoughts. I and my family suffered a lot. I was never really honest with my doctors and family, I thought they won't understand and blame me for the same. I had a really bad experience with doctors too.
I was diagnosed with OCD. Alhamdulillah, I have got really great parents. They did everything for me. Because of their love also I was in guilt that why m I doing this.
I am soon going to 20. It's been a long journey. I still have this problem but not that extreme. I now am suffering from another hazardous disease Chronic calcific pancreatitis. This disease again made me bed ridden. My friends are in college, studying and me lying on the bed and wondering what to do next. I believe Allah has some great plan for me. I know He will help me and forgive me. Pray for me brothers and sisters if you are reading this.

Do not react to the thought / feeling.
Trust Allah, don’t try to understand what’s happening and don’t ruminate. Go on with your day and trust Allah despite feeling uncomfortable and uneasy. Before you know it you’ll forget about it and will find ease. Do your task regardless of whatever thought / feeling is taking place, it’s hard to concentrate and go through with it at first but the OCD will weaken the less and less you react until it doesn’t bother you anymore.
Don’t allow it to matter, it’s just thoughts and feelings that don’t mean anything. Trust Allah knowing he won’t let any harm reach you or any pain afflict u more than what you can bear, show him you trust him by overcoming this uncomfortable situation and bearing it despite the overwhelming delusion ocd paints us with; do it for him and for yourself.
May Allah guide us all and ease our path. He is aware of our situation, so make sure you’re aware of him and come close to him so you feel stronger and more confident and assured that he will provide you with what’s best for you. الحمد لله

I’m 17m, when I walk, say, to the market or school I start having thoughts that I worship the guy walking in front of me or the tree or a abstract thing by lifting my foot. (It’s Sounds dumb I know).
I get scared & start getting tics & often scream words like “no!”.
      & people see me.
Also when I pray I get 1001 bad thoughts on such a overwhelming level I don’t enjoy the prayer that I prayed.
I think I committed kufr & say the Shahada about 15 times a day.
My ghusl takes 30 minutes or more & I get headaches.
My wudu takes about 15m only the obligatory parts (so I skip ears) & that to have a lot of Waswas & headaches.
I actually need to do ghusl today, but I fear I can’t. It effects my complete deen.

No. In sha allah you will be strengthened much more than ever with iman. It will happen, have tawakkul in Allah and believe that its just a thought. Let them keep coming but you do what you want.. Like walking on the floor, sitting on the mat despite all the thoughts. Once you do this your thoughts which are definitely by satan get tired as they come to know it has no effect on you. Just try you will be amazed and will thank Allah.

Idk what to say.... I've had experienced several depression episodes in the past few months and anxiety and waswasa are the side effects of it... It's literally so hard I've isolated myself from the outside world bc i'm so insecure about myself, ik this depression was from shaytan as my iman back then was rly weak... I didn't go to school at all,and yesterday i got my report card... I got a C... I've had put my trust in Allah swt and didn't care about it but my mom is kind of abusing me and making me feel like a failure she thinksy mental illness was made up. me and my cousin are in same grade so the pressure of comparison is killing me... I don't know why a C feels like the end of the world... Instead of supporting me in my bad times i'm getting the worst treatment from my mother ..... Anyways please make du'a for me and everyone that Allah swt ease our hardships in this dunya.... And i'm shedding tears bc no one in this world has ever said those kind words to me.....

The thing I don't understand is I thought there was a difference between shaytaan and mental health but over here I see you say scrupolisity is waswas Al qahri but mental health occurs in the brain whereas shaytaan is eternal and does not come from the brain but he causes you to have intrusive thoughts than how do we come about it, scupulosity is valid for thoughts about any religion and then the question comes why would shaytaan try to confuse a person with a belief other than islam please I know I misunderstood something I just need clarification

I'm in therapy but my motivation to pray, to go the mosque, make dhikr, listen to Quran is basically not there due to the constant heart aches I feel because I have severe obsessive thoughts and impulsive feelings .. It's been 2 Years since it's gotten so bad - before that i was lazy to pray but still managed to do it (some days better than other days) but know I can't even manage to pray 1 prayer a day without getting more thoughts and i then stop because i cant handle it. And this is the actual tricks of shaytan . He wants you to stop praying because of these thoughts. But you have to resist them . Seek Allah's help. Only He is going to help you. Do lotsssss of zikr. I beleive Shaytan wants to mentally oppress everyone, to those who are coming closer to Islam the waswas are regarding Allah and Islam, to those who are already far from Allah, the waswas are regarding losing duniya, to those who are hindus or cristians, waswas to make their life miserly cuz he knowx they do not beleive in Allah anyways, so we need to understand that one shaytan is assigned to everyone and he will not let live anyone happily. And u kniw what sister its no big deal that this question is also whispered to u by shaytan so that u get confused about whether it is shytan or ur own mind. His biggest waswas and game is to make u think that shaytan doesn't exist so that u keep struggling finding the cause of ur negative thougts😂. Read Quran how many times Allh has talked about satan's plan and whispers and ordered us that fear Allah not satan. So just focus on making connection with Allah SWT and see what happens.....

Let me give you a piece of advice with experience truth is we have dealt with these type of distorted thoughts with CBT therapy and the results are extraordinary. The key is this the more you respond to those thoughts they will be amplified and magnified to a great extent. What you need to do is to when those negative thoughts pop up you should not respond to them, don’t judge them, just keep on doing the task you were doing before the particular thought/thoughts popped up,don’t try to put those thoughts right, don’t try to rectify the thoughts, inaddition don’t try to supress those thoughts either. Because if you respond to it once for the moment it will feel like this huge burden is lifted from your shoulders you would feel relaxed for the moment but in the long run those negative thoughts will keep on comming with a greater level of intensity that could result in you making irrational, baseless, unintellectual decisions which would be sometimes against the commandments of the almighty.Just let them come and go.About the matter of reciting the shahadha obsessively i would advice you to recite the shahadha once then few moments later these distorted thoughts of ‘I don’t know whether i recited the shahada without any errors’,’don’t know whether i paused at the right places’ thoughts like these would keep on bombarding your brain. At that moment do not recite it again recognize that ‘if i believe in those thoughts i’m believing in a lie’ and don’t respond to them anymore continue with your task at hand.Let me give you another for eg You do wudhu mindfully once then few moments after you complete the wudhu you have these thoughts ‘i’m not sure whether i performed the wudhu propertly’’i have a doubt whether i missed a component of wudhu’ once these thoughts randomly pop up you go ahead and do wudhu repeatedly to convince yourself that it is done perfectly. For this type of a senario i would advice you to do wudhu once mindfully and do not respond to any thoughts that pop up afterwards go to the prayer mat and pray yes these thoughts would pop up when you pray but don’t respond to them just keep on reciting and complete the prayer.RECOGNIZE THAT THOUGHTS ARE JUST THOUGHTS THEY CAN BE RIGHT OR THEY CAN BE WRONG THEY CAN BE TRUE OR FALSE.This concept of not responding to negative thoughts ‘distorted thoughts’ we call in the field can be applied to all forms of OCD including the types mentioned in the video and more.Let me give you another case scenario once you go through reading this you would read it repeatedly having doubts as to whether you read it and understood the content properly.
These are just practices you have developed over time and they WILL heal with time insha allah as long as you do as instructed.
It is true that we must set up the standard for perfection but you must also remember that islam says that ‘we must aim for perfection but be sincere and moderate in the persuit of that perfection. For the record just look up the meanings of the words sincere and moderate along with their synonyms that itself is enough for you to not go to the extreame end in attaining perfection in your good deeds.Once you do as instructed above with time insha Allah these thoughts would fade away and result in you having more clarity, calmness, focus concentration and most importantly-peace.I Wish you All the best.Took me a while to type this may you all benefit from it.
      TRUST ME IT WORKS WONDERS!
Allah has made the religion-islam our way of life EASY for us to follow do not make it a BURDEN.
      Jazakallah Khair.
