I just hope kids don't look upon Annie's homosexuality as being a qualifier for a good guitarist....Her sexuality is her own business but when she chooses to flaunt it in front of the public and media as with her relationship with actress Cara Delevingne ...it may exceed the public's comprehension to some extent...
Terrance: Being open and flaunting are not the same thing. I've been following her as a musician for over a year, and only recently learned this about her. Why? Because it doesn't matter at all, it doesn't affect the music she makes. Your post reeks of thinly veiled homophobia, masked under the guise of 'protecting the children'. I hope for all our futures that you don't have kids, and aren't in a position to influence young minds, creating issues with people's lifestyles where there is none.
Alex Fornuto -I have been a fan and follower of Annie Clark's (St. Vincent) music for a number of years enjoying her brilliant music all along the continuum. Annie's sexuality has absolutely nothing to do with her musicianship, and to judge her on that premise would be utterly preposterous, as are your inferences. Insinuating that people who you don't know whatsoever are homophobic and should not have children is incomprehensible .

Still waiting for some video of her playing it live with the band. Love the guitar, particularly the gold hardware versions. However I'd like to get a Holdsworth headless first.
Here's a novel idea. How about a video where You don't mute Annie's actual playing? Would be nice to hear the guitar, as was it's original design intent.
Annie is so great. I"m 62 and I've been listening to her for maybe - 10 years? She always amazes me with her creativity and playing. It's good there's another generation playing creative music.
Wow ! Wow ! Wow ! This video is amazing ! Better than the Ernie Ball one ! She's Rock & Roll and the esthetic of this video suits her more ! Love it !!! Bravo Guitar Center !
Just got the white version..it's an absolutely incredible guitar. Like she mentioned in the video, stays in tune even after using the whammy a lot. Love her playing!
Played one of these guitars a year or so ago. One of the Sterling models, at least. And absolutely loved it. With the three mini humbuckers, its like a futuristic wedge Firebird!
Kurt Vile said J Mascis reccomended him this guitar and how apparently it always stays in tune. I head Kurt say this on a recent Tim Heidecker podcast episode. July or August 2021
+funyun000 The 2nd promo video she has made for EBMM in which we never hear the instrument being "demoed"...being demoed. Instead we get snippets of her recorded songs and slo-mo shots of her doing something that resembles guitar playing. Not knocking her chops or her really...since I didn't get to hear any but I like to hear the instrument. All the other EBMM artist models (Albert Lee, Petrucci, Lukather etc.) we get to see and hear them playing the tribute model. This simply seems like fluff
the ratio of eye-catching pics and visual footage of this guitar versus actual audio and people (especially Annie herself) actually playing the thing is way, way off. not nearly enough material of the guitar serving its purpose: being played. great marketing though
Yeah, fair observation. There are loads of great demos of this guitar online, tho' ... :) It sounds pretty sweet to me. EB player's guitars have always been good, too. ruclips.net/video/oV_xUhB6OGQ/видео.html
If I were a girl, she would send me to make a dress with the shape and colors of that guitar. Well ... What difference does it make, for boys too, haha✨💖🎸
Cool guitar, though I'm confused about some of the aesthetics. For example, the head stock should match the angular look of the body. The Music Man text on the headstock is gaudy and should be removed (looks like something you'd see on a Walmart guitar)... and there should be more space between the edge of the pick guard and the body edge. I do like that the guitar is different though.
This is the type of guitar where you wanna lose 30 pounds and hit the weights just so you match the minimalist architecture and unbelievable beauty of the instrument. It was a good idea getting a gorgeous woman to endorse this. Guitar nerds everywhere will think of her when they're playing.
Ok. if you actually believe she was picked for talent alone I'm not going try to convince you otherwise. I'm always suspicious when artists talk about "designing" and having a say. It sounds like Music Man paid her a bunch of money to say whatever they wanted her to say - whatever would sell units. I mean, how deep did her input go? Did she actually build it from the ground up a la Petrucci or did she just pick her favorite color and a fancy shape? Who knows.
@@jaymacdonnell4730 Everything I have seen shows this woman hands on with everything right from the start. I'm pretty sure the body shape is absolutely her design and why not the rest of the specification?
Huge St. Vincent fan here, and the guitar looks cool, but the price of $2500 will not "get it in most peoples' hands possible." With that kind of money, one can buy a Harmony Bobkat, a DBA Interstellar Overdriver, and a vintage Hagstrom Swede.
Most places sell it for $1899 new. Still, not a "get it the most people's hands" price. Beautiful instrument, and the demos I've seen make it out to be an amazingly flexible guitar sound-wise.
She's not referring to that the price though. She's referring to the design of the guitar not being overly associated with her. I agree though that a cheaper model would be nice. I think the guitar looks gorgeous so I would definitely consider one even though I'm not particularly familiar with her work.
I am attracted to and collect oddball guitars especially pointy ones. I am disappointed they went with the same old boring generic head stock all the others have.
Classically, the guitar has always looked like a voluptuous woman's torso. But this design looks like a slender woman's torso, as she has, coincidence?
BOX.inc if you look at the design of a Classical or acoustic guitar, it is wide and rounded with a waist similar in shape to that of a voluptuous woman. However, the design of St. Vincent's guitar is more like the shape of a slender female. St. Vincent is also a slender woman, coincidence?
the switch options are just stupid on this guitar, 4th is all 3 pickups? thats 6 coils working at the same time. mudville. not even a single one gives you single coil. but well. its eye catching.
@@TadpoleMusics i thought i deleted this or corrected myself. i know nothing about ernie ball, though she made accidental reference to a future product.
I heard gender inclusive and it made me go what the fuck how is a guitar focused towards a gender when I look at an instrument I don't think of gender I think of music
Chill. She doesn't mean it in that _feminism_ way. She simply means that she wanted a guitar that is comfortable for both genders. You can tell too. >Slim neck for tiny frauline hands. >Light body for tiny frauline shoulders. >V-shaped cut for frauline boob comfort while sitting.
According to your description women should not be able to play bass guitar then? Bass guitars are massive and heavy after all!! Mad long thick necks, super thick strings, and heavy!!! Can we stop mentioning gender? Can we just say she designed a guitar the way she wanted!?! Beautiful beautiful guitar by the way and it plays like a dream!!!!
I hope more kids pick up guitars and music because of her...really, she has become an icon for young female musicians and its awesome

I'm a folk/country/Metal guy, and I absolutely love how talented she is, and this guitar is a prove of that!
it's all music, my friend. Music SHOULD open your mind, so thanks for letting it :)
Still waiting for some video of her playing it live with the band. Love the guitar, particularly the gold hardware versions. However I'd like to get a Holdsworth headless first.

ThomasWilliamsMusic I agree lol. They also used a track that doesn’t have much guitar lol
guitar center
I played one of those at Guitar Center the other day. It plays so well and it sounds amazing. Also, the body cut makes it super comfortable!
V HAS COME TO I'm a skinny fat dude (skinny arms and a pudgy abdomen). I've got a bit of man boob also but it felt fine to me.
Alright cool. Sounds like we have the same body type.
This is the guitar i want to play when i have the skill and money , it just looks so fucking comfortable on her boob it's just magical
MrFuthisshit Thing is, it's expensive as shit.
V HAS COME TO yep i checked it's like 2000 euro without the shipping :(
Music Man is making modern guitars that are so classic looking. I hope I can try this one some day.

Such a talented person. That guitar looks fantastic
yeaah, cool guitar
When I look at the body shape, I see an abstract of Annie's torso shape. She's beautiful and so is her guitar.
My favourite person on the planet. Annie fucking Clark you genius.
She is amazing. She should create her own guitar brand honestly.
How can one human being be so cool?
That's a really cool design, great guitar and it's guaranteed to stand out from the crowd without being stupidly and uselessly weird.
This is the coolest "new" design in decades...

Annie Clark is kick ass, and so is her signature guitar.
I love her music and her and I really wish they would make a few lefty versions of this.
Beautiful.
yesss Annie is growing her hair back long. Goddess bless
im wishing hopefulyyyyy in the future id start a career in music! shes really inspiring to me and i loaf her
Sorry, i can´t pay attention to the guitar. Annie is so gorgeous in this video.
she's gay lmao
I know that and i still think she's so gorgeous. maybe even more now. thanks for remind me!

Great guitar and awesome player. Feels Fresh yet classic. Bravo
beautiful
My word, she's cool
I have never heard any of her music, but I do like the guitar she helped design. It looks really good.
the song in the back of the video is hers
Annie back at it again
The fact shes a famous guitarist is WILD
Incredible Annie!
Wow!

I love her! Seriously!
Dope guitar she pretty too

Something about it , I dig it. It’s like you hacked all the extra bits off an explorer
I usually don't like those pointy boxy guitar shapes, but this one looks very nice!
I love that this is the only video of this type where the featured artist doesn't get a guitar playing segment.
Captivating
Beautiful guitar does it make noise?
right?!
+funyun000 It might, as a side effect
Haha

awesome!
She clearly has a solid connection with the guitar. You can see how she plays and its there.

What a queen
Is this a vintage Music Man amp or one of the few reissues, which were announced and then suddenly vanished from the surface of the earth?
Annie Clark is fucking best and I love her so much
if I ever buy a six string again. I want this
Nicely produced clip - kudos to whoever thought to cut it for the duration of the song. Want this in a bass version keeping the three pickups.

she wanted it to be played by as many as possible - but no lefty version. that's too bad! i love the look and the sound of it.
Haha Thumbnail looked like robot holding a guitar
it"s like a Soviet Gibson Explorer from another dimension.
Even if your guitar is easy to carry - then I also massage your back and shoulder - even a light guitar can cause tension when worn
want one in mahogany sunburst
Reminds me of the Clapton cut explorer
Anything wrong with those DiMarzio mini humbuckers for doing Whitesnake 87ish sounds?
She is the Aimee Mann of our era :D
Nice but i want to buy St. Vincent and not the guitar :b
Still dreaming of this guitar though I’ll never afford it.
Love it in black and white, but I am Mr. Budget Guitar until I learn how to play well enough to justify this beauty.
Definitely gender-inclusive I love this body shape it's totally unique and cool looking!!

man i love her hair like that. not that whack spikey white doo.
Want. Her and the guitar.
That eye makeup is freaking me out. I used to work with a guy who wound up losing an eye after he got glitter in it.
and the cow jumped over the moon
dang she is fine
they kept that headstock though ... boo. that's my only gripe. otherwise it's a beautiful and innovative design in the world of guitars.
Annie your guitar looks like Jane jetson's dress
Actually...it does.
"Wanted to get it into most people's hands"

I know this comment is 2 years old, but they have a Sterling model as well that is MUCH more affordable and still sounds great!

Who is this St Vincent?
+Gerry Blue a band

You know shit. Great guitarist/musician/artist and a great guitar, which I own and use all the time.
Whats with her voice at 3.20
EVERYTHING about annie screams out libra♎. does it have to do with the guitar? no, but im a libra too so i just felt the need to say it.
I dislike her music, but this guitar is great!
As many hands as possible? Better release a Sterling licensed version.
+Nicholas Cabrera They are :)
?
I could tested this wonderful guitar, but ............... ($,€)
She looks facially and sounds like Jane Fonda 'Klute'.
