One of the many things I love about Nateland is how professional the whole thing is and how committed they are to doing it week after week. I know it must be tough with touring to coordinate everyone's schedules to make this happen every week. I also love that its in-person only and not over Zoom. Its obvious that Nate gets it. He understands if it's worth doing, its worth doing all the way. Even in a podcast about "nothing" its clear a ton of work goes into it. I for one, love it.

Nate's reading cadence is like a theme park roller coaster. He speeds downhill by stringing 7-8 words together. Then he hits the climb and chugs through 5-6 words until he hits the slope again. Well worth the wait in line.

I love that Aaron brought up his friend and the movie theater popcorn. As a kid, my mom would take me and my friends to the movies: but the deal was that she would drive us if I would go inside, get her a large popcorn, and bring it back out to her in our van. It was unbelievably humiliating as a kid. As a parent now… I get it.
Thanks for the laughs as always. God bless!

Love it when Nate asks if people drink olive juice and Aaron replies that he is not sure there is so much juice in olives, probably mostly water as they are so tightly packed.
One thing to explore in a future episode might be ”Where does olive oil come from?”. Thanks for a great Podcast and greetings from Sweden!

I was wondering whether choosing “nothing” as the topic would be a mistake. We got our answer about one minute into the topic when Nate uttered the sentence “khakis are fun.” Is this the level of excitement we should expect now that all three of you are married?

The stories about movie theaters had me remembering that the theater in our town used to have a call in voicemail line and I can still recite it word for word with the inflections that he used...."Hi and thanks for caaaaaalling THE cinema One & Two, where we have free refills on our large popcorn, large drinks, gift passes on sale, and a new ICEE machine. Recently we have added a credit and debit card machine but it is QUITE persnickety - so please be prepared to pay with cash as well. Upcoming movie times are as follows:" It's been YEARS since theater even existed, but for some reason, I can still hear his recording in my head.
I'm a huge podcast fan and this one is quickly becoming my number one must listen.

You guys should do a whole episode on elevators. Elevators are great because you can have a 30 second conversation with someone and never have to see them again. My go to is "Have you seen the movie Devil before? Five people get trapped in an elevator, one of them is the Devil, and they get murdered one by one. Really fun movie."

I was visiting a friend in Dallas several years ago and while I was waiting for him to get off work I decided to see a movie by myself, in order to pass the time. The only thing starting at the time when I arrived was "Walk Hard: The Dewy Cox Story." So I watched it in a theater with only 5 people. It was very raunchy, and only 3 of us made it through the entire movie.
When the film was over, I still hadn't heard from my friend, so I decided to just stay in that theater and sit through the movie again. My rationale was that if he texted, telling me he was off work, I would've already seen the movie and could walk out whenever. As the people started rolling in for the next showing I began noticing a much older crowd with a lot of grey hairs and even some blue hairs among them. Having just seen the movie I kept thinking that these people are really NOT going to enjoy this movie. Unbeknownst to me, they switched what movie was being shown in that particular theater and the next movie starting was the Tom Hanks film, Charlie Wilson's War. Which was still surprisingly raunchy, but much more tame than Walk Hard....

Hello folks! In the “Nothing” episode when Aaron mentioned he knew someone who went to a theme park and ate lunch there everyday, Nate said that “makes unbelievable sense” to do that. At first I missed it but then gave it some thought about how ridiculous that statement was. I would say it’s unbelievable how little sense that statement makes. How can something make sense and be unbelievable? The only thing that made sense about that statement was that Nate said it. This podcast makes unbelievable sense. Love the show guys!

They ended up moving to St. John’s, Newfoundland (home of the Newfies) for a few years when the Jets came back to Winnipeg. They ditched the Moose name because there are so many moose related deaths due to car accidents with them in Newfoundland.

Not relevant to this episode, but this episode was about nothing. So the timing seems right. My son Lincoln and I are huge hockey fans. We went to a game in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and he asked me why everyone was chanting "Let's go Pens" I told him that Pens was short for PANGWINS and leaned real close to his ear as I shouted PANGWINS. He's only six, but he gave me the same look my wife gives me when I do something stupid, but the rest of the game, when the chant started, he started chanting "Let's go PANGWINS!" Anyway, you guys are awesome, I love what Char Broil and Bummer are bringing to the table these days. Y'all are really hitting your stride. Thanks for a great podcast!

Hey Folks! I Heard Nate, Blarg and Aaron talking about restaurants and embarrassing moments, reminded me of my first date as a pre-teen. My parents gave me $20 dollars to pay and I took my crush to a small diner. When the bill came I proudly took the 20 dollar bill from my pocket and held it by the edges with my fingers to "snap it" like I've seen in the movies and immediately ripped the bill in two. I was too young to know you could just tape the bill back together and panicked and called my parents for help while stalling the waitress with a water request. My parents told me to "ask the waitress for some tape you idiot."
There was no 2nd date. That was almost 30 years ago and I still cringe when I think about it.
    Thanks for the laughs guys.

I know this was last weeks topic but just heard nate say you have to be pretty lucky to get on the 1 ride that broke. Story time - When I was in my teens it happened I hated to go on those rides for the very reason if they break down. The 1 day I decided lets do it as i was with friends you guessed it , it broke down. It was a ride called the runaway train and it just stopped mid ride and the worker had to come get us all out and lead us off the ride. I am just glad it wasn't a roller coaster.

When I saw, "The episode about nothing"... I was like, "Yes! Finally A Seinfeld episode!"

My family and I actually got stuck in an elevator for 3 hours in Las Vegas. Was completely our fault from jumping between floors lol. Makes it easier when you have an ice chest full of beer

Hello, Folks! First off, good luck with my last name. I can already hear Nate stretching it out to six or seven syllables and yelling at Buttercup for picking this comment. Second, I found the podcast about 2 months ago and love every bit of it. I wanted to rush through them to be able to leave a comment, and the big payoff was an episode about literally nothing. Keep it up!
