    For the psu part, i would suggest going for a semi modular psu. Semi modular will only have the 3 cables (cpu, pci-e, and mobo) permanently connected on the psu. Semi doesnt cost much as an equivalent fully modular psu. You can still do some cable mods using cable extensions so you wont lose customization on your build.

    • @hwsph
      @hwsph  4 года назад +286

      Thanks for this, Belben and Ezekiel. I should have clarified that all Ryzen CPUs can be overclocked but if you are looking to OC, the X variants, in general, give more bang for the buck. Also tbh I got carried away with making it easier for less techy ppl to understand (for Intel, look at the letter after the numbers, for AMD, same - for mobos, same) but that goal of digestibility shouldn't come at the expense of accuracy.

    To any new comers just watching this: Do not EVER EVER mix up your modular power supply cables. Kahit magkakamukha pa sila, even if it's from the same manufacturer, they may be rated differently and could instantly destroy your components. Make sure to segregate your modular power supply cables with each power supply brand and model only. :D

    Ryzen processors that have no X suffix are also unlocked. Also, sometimes it's better to choose the Ryzen with the X suffix because, for example, the 2700X runs at higher base and boost clocks than the 2700.
    Also, dual channel will greatly benefit CPU performance, including games, ESPECIALLY people who buy AMD APUs.

    • @godofredo0409
      @godofredo0409 2 года назад

      yes I agree. I am using an APU build Ryzen 5 4650g. I cheap out in the ram department due to budget issue, I only bought a single 16gb 2666mhz stick. I was noob back then. And when I found out about dual channel, a month later I bought 2 pcs of Adata XPG D50 3200mhz 8gb DDR4 rams and holy smokes, from 40-60 fps on CSGO, to 100-170 fps. I overclocked the iGPU Vega 7 to 2300mhz 1.230V gfx voltage and also have overclocked my ram into 3600mhz.

    I like the video, it's great creating one of this.
    But here are my opinions:
    Mistake 1:
    You can overclock any Ryzen CPU on any compatible board (not recommended, but able)
    Sometimes you'll get the "K" variant because at stock it's still better than the "non-K" variant.
    Mistake 2:
    I agree. Another reason is it's better to have 2 if one ram dies, you'll still have half of it.
    Mistake 3:
    I agree with the board, and I think they need to check if it's intel or amd cpu, because only AMD are taking advantage of the memory clock speed.
    Mistake 4:
    Good tip. PSU is like the heart of the PC. Once your graphics card require a 6-pin/8-pin power connector, from there you must have at least a good PSU with 80+ certification.
    Mistake 5:
    Perfect. but the lifespan (as proven on experience) of the ssd is really shorter than the HDD. I had my m.2 died in less than a year. But it still depends.
    Bonus mistake:
    Performance builders never says that even as a joke, they never recommend RGBs.

    • @pkpnyt4711
      @pkpnyt4711 2 года назад

      Having one experience of an SSD dying early doesn't prove it has a shorter life than an HDD. I bought an SSD in 2014 and it still runs to this day (running win 7 in my kids gaming pc). At the same time I've had 3 Western Digital HDDs (1 black, 1 blue, 1 green ) die already. I've also had HDDs that have lasted for more than 7 years. The truth of the situation is SSDs have no moving mechanical parts and an HDD has. This means, on average, the mechanical moving parts will die sooner rather than later, because... physics.

    12:00 haha oo nga. Walang kinalaman ang rgb color sa pagbilis ng pc. Magada lang tignan. Pero sa ibang bagay nakakapagpalamig ang color like sa mga storage tank. Tignan nyo mga malalaking tangke sa oil depot, there are always colored grey for a reason.

    I dont like modular power supply. The extra contacts adds voltage drop and resistance and reduces current output.. the contacts may also burn overtime due to becomming loose and corroded. In terms of pc cooling. Heat removal first then think about circulation. That means exhaust and inlet fans..

    Agree ako sa lahat ng sinabi dito. Natawa ko dun sa RGB na part kasi yung iba tight na nga yung budget, gusto pang mag RGB. Dagdag nalang sana yun ibabayad sa RGB sa pambili ng reliable PSU.
    Add ko lang dun sa part about getting 2 ram sticks instead of one:
    1. Pag nagka problema yung isa sa dalawang RAM, you'll still have one stick functioning therefore you will still be able to use your computer. Importante to lalo na sa mga wala pang budget para mapalitan yung RAM na may issue. Getting 2 sticks might cost you a bit more pero sobrang sulit na investment talaga yan.
    2. Para to sa mga meron ng 1 stick of RAM at gusto mag upgrade. It is always advisable to get a RAM with the same brand, product line, size and frequency (if possible pati die) with the one you currently have. Madalas nasa manual to ng motherboard manufacturers. For example meron kang 1 4gb na Kingston HyperX Fury rated at 2400MHz and balak mong mag upgrade to 8Gb. Bili ka ng RAM na kaperhong kapareho nung 4Gb na Kingston mo.

    about sa overclocking hindi naman dahil may letter sa dulo is yun lang ang overclockable. most of the cpu nowadays are overclockable but you need the right set of motherboard, powersupply, cooling device, and the knowledge to do so. hopefully you can give them the insight of what im talking about. dahil kahit na motherboard mo is malakas tapos cpu mo malakas at ang powersupply mo is not the true rated and cannot hold the rights powerdraw that the cpu needed hindi yan gagana at either mamamatay ang pc mo ng kusa or mag blue screen of death ka. and the other thing about sa ram bago ka kumuha ng motherboard you should know the max supported size of ram the motherboard can hold then try to decide if you needed the maximum ram supported by the motherboard or just need a decent amount of ram to make the programs run better and smooth. it still depends on what will you do to you computer. i also want to explain about the dual channel but i think its hard to make it understandable for people who is not technical about it.
