totally great video. Thanks so much. I will start in on one soon. One person asked if they don't get dirty and I am sure they do, just like any nest ,but it would be easy to take it down after the chicks fly away and wash it out with a hose.
I have been felting for a little while but have never seen a stone being used ? what does that do and is it just a regular stone ? Also does this hold up in the wet weather ?
I made a few last Christmas and wondered about using a protector on it. So I Google it and found linseed oil and a toilet wax seal heated up and poured over a felt hat will make the hat waterproof (a simple way of explaining the peocess). Tho I have not tried it yet, I did buy the wax ring. I would be interested to hear others thoughts!
I think the birds would put some nesting materials in it which would keep the poop from soaking in, and the birds would clean their poop out too. You could check on it and wash it in the fall.
Thank you. Perfect video. Off to try one now.
Необыкновенно позитивный мастер-класс!!! Спасибо.

Again thank you!

Thank you very much, Kathleen! There is such a bird pod in my garden and the rain does not bother the birds

I wonder how you would clean it out? In order for it to be used the following year, it needs to be empty.
Замечательно!
Адель, вы посмотрите на канале еще и русскую версию - там больше подробностей
An interesting demo, however the entrance hole is much too big. It will allow predators in to get at the baby birds.
The entrance hole depends of bird's size. You may make it smaller
What is the size of the resist?
Measurements of the resist: 11" x 15"
Dimensions of the finished bird pod:
width - 6 ", height - 9 ", depth - 3 ", inlet diameter - 2 "
@@LunataFelt Thank you very much!
These are cute but don’t they get filthy with poop??
