And that was it! After a long three years... I can finally finish this video! The recording was done in 2020, while the rest of teh video was completed in 2022... so there might be some inconsistency here... sorry about that!
I'm honestly really surprised to find an Indonesian conlanger! I love the world you're building here and I think you should keep going with it, and listening to the intro felt really chilling/familiar since it almost felt like a traditional language that originated somewhere from Indonesia. You've got yourself a new fan!
someone please explain how this channel produces god level art and it at less than 500? This channel should be at half a million subscribers, hugely underrated!
This is one of the most high-quality videos I have ever seen on RUclips. I can't believe this channel has only a few hundred subscribers. The artwork and the subtitles are especially good, and the content of the video is so well thought-out!
Wow the art is epic! And i love the extensive lore! It's so cool how you got a whole language family & many fully-fledged languages. The orthography looks a bit awkward, but i get why you chose that.
I adore the graphics in this video, it makes it incredible to watch! And the conlang is just.. *muah* I'd love to see more of the worldbuilding too, the illustrations really piqued my interest! Incredible!
enjoyed this video just as much as your last one, if not more! very lovely lang and explanation, not to mention the beautiful world and illusts that come w it ^^
You got yourself a new subscriber. As a Malay speaker who's also trying to create a Philippine-type system conlang for my own worldbuilding, this project is so fascinating and inspirational to me! One small critic, I find myself leaning hard to hear your speech audio. I think you should rebalance the audio mixing for future videos so your voice is louder. Look forward to more videos!
Also, throughout the video you transcribe the 'c' sound as c͡ç but keep pronouncinɡ it like t͡ʃ (standard Enɡlish "ch") which is just confusinɡ for your readers
Sorry for the pronounciation, the reason of the wrong transcription is nothing more than that I can't pronounce it. My native language only use t͡ʃ and only has 2 fricatives, so sometimes I keep coming back to pronouncing it the wrong way. But just to be clear, the 'true' phoneme should be that I had transcribed on the video, not the one I pronounced
@@HatterTobias every fragments of my worldbuilding are scattered over my social media accounts, but it got mixed with other non-worldbuilding contents of mine
The artworks in this video are absolutely amazing, it feels more like I'm being shown actual historical art rather than a worldbuilding project. Love the language and the showcase.
Yes! Philippines languages are a part of Austronesian language family, and since the base for this conlang in Proto-Austronesian, you might find it somehow familiar
What a coincidence! I just found your channel, watched your first video, and subscribed quite recently and I now you have a new video! GREAT WORK! I love your creativity for this world.
just finished watching the whole video :) excellent work as always, I like how you use the austronesian roots to give rise to familiar words like raya, pucuk, ikan, etc., but at the same time the language as a whole still feels so foreign and refreshing the script is my favourite part, truly a thing of beauty :) to answer your question, I think it doesn't matter if you make the Torga video first or the meta-video, but if you want to use the meta-video as a practice then that is a good plan I feel :)
absolutely love this video, however, I can't help but notice that the palatals /cç/, /ç/, /ʝ/ and /ʎ/ sound like /tʃ/, /ʃ/, /ʒ/ and /ʟ/ to me, don't know if it's just my ears or a mistake on your part, but that was really throwing me off lmao, other than that I can only hope to achieve such a high level of quality when making conlangs, keep up the good work and I look forward to the next entry!
Thank you so much for the apreciation and critique! About the pronounciation... it's totally on me, since I myself can only make three fricative sounds correctly (My native language only have 2 fricative). I think in the future video, I need to make a disclaimer about it lol
I cannot stress enough how pissed off I get every time this video is recommended to me because its thumbnail looks like it's going to be an absolute banger of a song!!! >:( Don't get me wromg, though, this video is great :)! I really liked this video when I first watched it a while ago. Your work is well done and your presentation and detail is most excellent! Keep at it!
Super super well done. Gave you my detailed feedback on FB, but wanted to add a comment here too! I think whatever video you do next, Torga or your pen name, would be really fun. I think whatever helps you keep up momentum or motivation would be the best pick!
This is really neat! I think, tho, that you should really be consistent: you have aspirated 'kh' go to uvular 'q' thru an intermediate fricative, 'x'; with it's voiced counterpart, 'gh', you have the opposite- a final fricative 'ɣ' woth an intermediate uvular 'G'. Perhaps you should choose a way they both go (I would've even handwaved it if the sounds weren't SO similar. For me it's just a little too unrealistic...). I personally would probably even cut the middleman, from aspirated straight to fricative (like Greek, or Hebrew & Aramaic)
Thank you! The x~q is actually an allophone, not an intermediary step, so: -kh --> q -gh --> G --> ɣ the voced one went to fricative because I used the PAn --> PWMP lnguage for the base (It might be because it is voiced)
can't believe it's been around a year since i found your first video, and finally another video. enjoyed this episode a lot! i've always loved how well-crafted your presentations are, they're just amazing. can't wait to see how the languages, the world, the cultures, evolve into the "modern" version. really inspiring and now i'm really pumped to make my conlang and conworld again :D
This is really interesting! I've contemplated making an Austronesian-inspired conlang before, and this gave me some great ideas. Your art is beautiful as well. I'm excited for Torga!

I hate natlangs, and this one sounds bad, and I didn't like that focus on religion and toxic humilliation stuff, like seriously can't any of you think of great motivational things to talk about in your conlangs? but at very least I do have one good thing to say, I did like the looks of it, the leaf growing tree thing is cute
I'm sorry that you stumbled upon this video then But my worldbuilding is literally based on its people, culture, and religion. It doesn't need to be motivational. And I'll never stop doing so. But I do really appreciate your comment
