50% infill is absolutely insane for the vast majority of prints. I run 5-10% usually and I couldn't crush it with my hands even if I wanted to.

Why is this video rated so good? He gives a purely unsubstantiated subjective opinions on infills without having done any tests to back his claims. Then let me do the same: I like triangles - so this is the best pattern!
Don't get me wrong - it is ok to make a video featuring the personal ordering of the subjectively nicest infill patterns. But please don't call this "the best infill patterns". And especially don't claim that they increase strength or affect any parameter you have never even measured in the first place.

you can skimp on infill density but increase infill line count to make the infill stout as well. This should keep our print times lower.

  • @snowwolvesproductions

You can use 5% or even 0% in some cases and just up the number of outside perimeters to 3 or more.

The patterns are much easier to visualize and understand when seen from an off axis perspective. This is especially true for the 3D patterns such a Gyroid, etc.

A few years ago I remember seeing a video or an article mention that you could add custom infill patterns to Cura, but I've never once been able to find any sort of instruction on how to do so. Do you know anything about that?

This is great, I'm about to get my first printer soon and my first project is to model and make new brackets for my mother's wall mounted clothes hanger as it collapsed.
It's pretty small so I might just go with solid infill but maybe it would be better to go with gyroid and make them thicker than the originals, gonna have to investigate once I actually have a printer

for some reason my infil lines have small tiny pores. Im using Creality Ender 3 V2 3d printer. I leveled the bed properly, added special adhesive made for 3d printer glass bed. Could the infill bee too thin? Is the diameter fill too small?

How do you set up Cura to slice automatically? My earlier versions would do this as a matter of course, but when I upgraded to the latest one, I now have to press the "Slice" button to make it slice. And I looked through the program to do this and couldn't find how to do it.
