All dental professionals have to register with the GDC in order to practice in the UK. If you qualified outside the UK, your application will be assessed by an independent panel. They will be looking for things like Certificates, CPD, English language certificates, reference from employers and so on...Best to check the GDC website for the requirements. Hope this link helps. 👇

      Hello,
An overseas dentist can work as a dentist in the UK by taking the ORE and then register with the GDC once successful. They can also apply through the GDC to work as a therapist or hygienist. Your application will be assessed by an independent panel. You can also work as a trainee dental nurse to gain experience of UK dentistry by working hand in hand with the dental team.

No, you don't have to be a dental nurse. If you have the right qualifications, you can apply straight to the university of choice. (Usually equivalent to 5 GCSEs and 3 or 2 A levels, or access courses.) You can do a google search and find out more.
