- Who would have guessed that a period drama about the day-to-day dealings of a rich family and their staff in the middle of nowhere would become one of the biggest hits of the last decade? Downton Abbey wasn’t your average show, though. Over the course of its six seasons, fans watched the Crawleys experience enough intrigue to last a lifetime.

Whether by sickness or sudden accident, one thing’s for sure: Downton Abbey’s deaths were always filled with drama, and what each character had to say before they died was definitely memorable. Who was your favorite character from Downton Abbey?
I guess Im quite off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch new tv shows online?
@Scott Ryker Flixportal
@Khari Shepard thanks, signed up and it seems to work :) I really appreciate it!!
@Scott Ryker happy to help xD
Maggie Smith is my favorite character
For sure Matthews & Sybil’s death was the most heart breaking. I balled my eyes out when they both died
Technically Sybil’s last words were “ it hurts” and now I’m crying 😂
I loved that show
Our William and darling Sybil broke me 🕊❤️
Something that was missing from the video is that Barrow also broke down sobbing when Lady Sybil died. The only major characters I didnt like were Thomas Barrow & Mrs Obrian.
Lady Edith was such an insecure desperado, was so horrible to Lady Mary, it was uncomfortable to watch her. If Edith were a real person in 2021, I could see her easily being catfished out of all of her money!
I cried when I heard William was gonna die…😢
William was such a sweetheart
This is so sad
the most heartbroken death is Matthews & Sybil and their death is not meant to be, it happen because the actor want to leave the show so the showrunner have to write them off.
I'm utterly pissed off by the loss of Crawley and Sybil.
SPOILER WARNING
Now we can add Lady Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham to the list.
She died of natural causes at the end of Downton Abbey: A New Era.
As Robert, Cora, Mary, Edith, Denker, and other staff were gathered at her bedside, she addressed them one by one.
Her last words were to a sobbing Denker: “Stop that noise! I can’t hear myself die.”
You have the wrong war. Downton Abbey took place during WWI. Hitler's Brown Shirts was WWII.
Hitler’s Brown Shirts took place between 1920s and 1930s during his rise to power. The Brown Shirts were dissolved in 1945, but lost prominence once the SS was formed.
It weren't the brown shirts but Hitler was involved. Gregson's death is apparently based on the Bierkeller Putsch, in which Hitler and his followers forced their way into a political meeting in a beer hall in Munich and attempted to stage a coup.
There was a 20 year time gap btw WW1 and 2. That's the period where Hitler used to ruse to power so its very possible that Germany was under his rule when Edith's lover was captured
I'm pretty sure it was implied that they were almost a street gang when he was killed, slowly on the rise before they would take power. Gregson likely spoke against them and was killed because of it.
@@edwardbrai3311 Hitler didn’t become Chancellor until 1933
