  • The concept could not be simpler or more profound: Place a disconnected telephone in the woods, available to anyone who needs to talk to someone who cannot hear them. It could be final words never spoken to a lost loved one, parting words to an ex, a secret that refuses to be contained, or a simple shout of frustration that would otherwise be held in. My fiancé uncle passed away yesterday. She didn’t get to say goodbye. I’m going to surprise her with a visit here this weekend. Thank you!

I love this. I have been calling my mom from my cell phone for many years. I talk, I cry, I tell her how I miss her so very much. Though these settings seem so peaceful, tranquil, and beautiful, we can just utilize what we already have.

I call my grandmother all the time too (she was more like my mother). If I'm not just talking to her out loud sometimes I'll pick up the phone and dial her old number and just talk like she's listening to me on the other end

I'd say yes - just get an old phone and set aside a place of peace where you speak to them and get to talking!

The only one who can bring true JOY and comfort is Jesus Christ!!! The truth about talking to the dead is not something we should mess with. It is ok to remember loved ones but we are not to try and communicate with ones that have passed. It’s nothing more than witchcraft and conjuring up spirits who fool you to think you’re talking with a loved one. It’s the same as playing with a ouija board no matter how it looks. When our spirit passes on from our bodies we go to one of 2 places. God says whoever believes in me shall not perish but have everlasting life!! So our spirit doesn’t have to die after this temporary life but can live with Christ for eternity. We must tell our loved ones now is the time to get right with Christ so that we can all spend eternity together. Talk to God and get into his scripture about a loss or grieving in your life. He will bring peace to you, he’ll never leave or forsake you. God Bless everyone ❤
    JOHN 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

This is such an unnecessary and inappropriate comment. You do not get to dictate how anyone grieves. Christianity is only one of many religions, and you are clearly not familiar enough with the tenets. Jesus was very clear - you appointing yourself to pass judgment on others is blasphemous and you'll be called to answer to that. Shame on you for trying to cause more pain to grievers. Shame on you.

@@pnwfox That’s all you got out of what I said? 🤦🏻‍♂️ I quote scripture and showed kindness for people that are grieving for lost ones. Why do I need other religions when I have Christ! Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life!! There’s only one way to him no other tenants or religions, that’s truth for you, read the word of God and you’ll find life in it. No hate here, talking to the dead is in fact demonic and is witchcraft. It has nothing to do with just grieving. If you’re not talking to a physical person who are you then speaking to? Because you will wind up talking with spirits and open a door for the demonic. The only spirit better be the Holy Spirit! Don’t be deceived. Take this and the 1st comment how you want, they were perfectly appropriate but truth is spoken. God Bless you may you seek him. No hate here! ❤
