The nicest and most unbelievable thing happened was everyone looked out for each other and from that experience we became better people. Tampa (area) is also home to Zephyrhills (NE of Tampa in Pasco County), which USED to be known as a retirement community, and Sun City Center, which is a sizeable retirement community south of Tampa, comfortably nestled between Ruskin and Wimauma. The cleanup and repairs are the worst. After Irma in the Keys I remember that it seemed like an endless task and felt like we weren't making any headway for the first couple weeks.
    Unless you've gone through something like this it's hard to imagine.
    After the first couple days in this heat, everything begins to rot and decay, the smell is overwhelming. Endless amounts of debris and there's nothing you can do about it except clean it up and toss it all into designated piles.
    For instance on scale, we had a row of appliances on our street, several deep and two or three high that stretched for several blocks. That's just appliances and we are a smaller community. I can't imagine what The Ian victims are going through, but hang in there, it'll get done.

    Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.
    So you must be careful to do everything they tell you.
    But do not do what they do,
    for they do not practice what they preach.
    They tie up heavy cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders,
    but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
    Everything they do is done for people to see:
    They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long;
    they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues;
    they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.
    But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant.
    For those who exalt themselves will be humbled,
    and those who humble themselves will be exalted".
    YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FOR YOURSELF AN IMAGE in the form of anything, in Heaven above or in the Earth beneath, or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them, or worship them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents, up to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me, and keep my commandments.
    If my people who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, I will hear from Heaven, will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.
    AND WHEN YOU PRAY DO NOT BE LIKE THE HYPOCRITES, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners, to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
    BUT WHEN YOU PRAY, GO INTO YOUR ROOM, close the door, and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
    And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need, before you ask him.
    This, then, is how you should pray:
    Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be your name,
    your kingdom come,
    your will be done,
    on earth as it is in heaven.
    Give us today our daily bread.
    And forgive us our debts,
    as we also have forgiven our debtors.
    And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from the evil one.
    For if you forgive other people when they sin against you,
    your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
    But if you do not forgive others their sins,
    your Father will not forgive your sins.
    "Matthew 5-7 NIV Bible Gateway", we can use google search.
    These are the teachings,
    The Righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ our God.
    REPENT, and start doing what is right.
    If you abide my teachings, you are really my disciples;
    then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
    Yet a time is coming and has now come
    when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in Truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
    GOD IS SPIRIT, so his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in Truth.
    In the New Heaven and the New Earth,
    only Righteousness dwells.
    May the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ our God be with you all.

    Have we crossed the point of no return in terms of damaging the planet? There is no such point. We need to trust that our thought, which is our greatest quality, can change nature. We only need to understand the direction to which we should aim our thoughts. What should we think about? What condition or state should we aspire to and ask for?
    In order to save our planet, we should think about positive human connections. That is, how can we, in our connections, keep nature safe? How can we all together protect our world? If we truly wish to better our planet, then we should see people holding a concern for how to positively connect everywhere that we look.
    It has nothing to do with recycling or other activities that we commonly associate with as being sustainable. If we come closer to and consider each other, that we will reach an entirely organic, perfectly connected and round state, then the negative forces will disappear from the world.
    We need to understand that if we start thinking better about each other, then the planet will recover from all harm, because our thoughts are the strongest force in nature. Likewise, our negative thoughts about each other are entirely to blame for damaging the planet. That is why the more we recycle and invest in energies and activities that we commonly think of as being sustainable, the worse our planet becomes. Nothing will work to benefit us until we reach a state where our attitude changes toward each other for the better to protect and improve our planet.

      12K years ago the spot my house stands on in Illinois was covered by a glacier 2 miles thick. That glacier had been there for over 30K years. 10K years ago it started to melt. There now is not a single speck of glacial ice between Carbondale and the Arctic Circle. It all melted away. Why? Because of climate change. It was VERY real but humans had nothing to do with it. Climate has never been static on this planet. There is a regular cycle of cooling and warming. Warm spells last 30K/40K years on average, followed by extended glacial periods. We are about 10K years into a warm cycle and it is going to continue to warm for another 10K/15K years. This has happened before, resulting in Antarctica being covered with vegetation and wildlife, tropical conditions in southern Germany, the North Pole being ice free and warm enough to swim across.
      Is the planet going to warm up? Yeah. It will. But it is natural and there's not a damned thing you can do to stop it.
