I'm interested in seeing how you are going to use the ceravans. Love the analog combinator, it is a neat solution before bateries. - There is (at least in hard mode before the last patches, havent checked since) something I consider a bug with caravans and decay, you may decide to exploit it or not. If you use "until caravan has N items" with some item that has decay, the decay gets reseted to max. On the other hand, "until full" preserves the decay values of the stacks. - There is also a copy paste functionality for caravans (which was usefull after selecting the T.U.R.D. that makes caravans faster, as updating deletes the configuration of the caravan) - I haven't detected problem with fuel decaying in the fuel slot in my save, it may have happened but it would be the full slot and would continue being fuel for the caravan.
Some convenient things with a stack size of 1 are blueprints, deconstruction planners and upgrade planners. they even have useful colours.
