Certainly a fun base and a favorite, I just wish you could expand into outer perimeter, repair the outer wall, and scrap all the cars. You'd have so much more room for activities.
@@GitGudFox I've tried it and have watched your vids on it. It's a bit too much for me, there's aspects I like but too much focus on crafting/resource hunting. Love SOD2 but would like a little bit more base building-wise. Almost every base as space that could be cleared and used. Just wish that was a possibility, maybe a future update or mod.
My problem with SoD2 is that it's sort of sitting on the fence. It doesn't really have an in depth crafting system. It also doesn't really have a great combat system. Both systems work. They get the jobs done, but they're bland and too basic. I'd rather SoD2 either pick 1 or the other. It could be like Cult of the Lamb where it's mostly fighting with a somewhat simple community and base simulation, or it should go the 7 Days to Die route with greater emphasis on building and managing resources with the current style of combat.
@@GitGudFox I think SOD2 was built for the mass denominator, so keep it as simple as possible. It is kind of layered with the traits and different ways you can play. I wouldn't play it if I had to navigate my survivors hunger, thirst etc. I probably wouldn't play it if the combat was more harder to grasp. (I am not an action fighter, I am more tactical AKA don't get into the fight in the first place.) Base building though, if they expanded that and also the outposts (that could hold survivors too) and more survivors. Then yes. But then there is already a game like it called Survivalist: Invisible Strain - it's just a bit junky haha. One bloke though made it, which is quite a feat assuming these guys have microsoft behind them and took them 3 months overdue on a release (not complaining just being factual).
My issue with this particular base is that it's big enough to contain more large spots (maybe four). All of these spaces are in the vacant parking spots for the drive-in theater. That area is walled and with just a little work, you can gain a lot of real estate. I love the novelty of the base (including the Bridge Fort, Container Base and the Biker Bar), but it's held back by the developers. Yes, I totally get there is already a big base, but why limit it to one?
Ooooo man, I am a Knight's Drive-in settler myself. A built-in Level 3 Lounge on Lethal? Yes, please. Combine that with Red Talon Officer's Quarters experience boost...Toughened survivors coming up in no time.
Glad you changed your mind on this base. I remember doing a legacy playthrough back when and it was fantastic. I was able to train 8 survivors to full, and build an auto shop to stock up on bulk repair kits and armor up cars for the final push. It was a really nice second to last base with great flow for the playthrough.
Always been a big fan of this base, the look alone made me like it but the training and all the built in moral gains like the kitchen and bathroom for nightmare and lethal zone makes it even better
If Drucker county didn't have horrible driving or had way better shortcuts Drucker county could've been the second best map, love the bases in drucker county but man that driving horrible
Wow Fox, fully upgraded lounge is 14 1/2 rucks of materials. I feel likenifmpossible I'd just go straight to the Drive-In from the Starter base just so I can start training my characters.
Keep your moral high guys it's solves a lot of problems. Love this game I hope the next one is just as good but it brothers me it will be an MMORPG.🤷🏿♂️

You might like 7 Days to Die then (but only on PC, console version is out of date) because it lets you do all of those things.

@@GitGudFox Yep, my thoughts exactly. Pick a direction and go, Maybe SOD3 will expand on these things.
This is easily my favorite base of the game. The Bridge Fort is a close second because of the novelty.

I don’t know if I changed my mind about the base so much as the rating for this base differs on Lethal Zone versus Standard Zone.
Goodmorning fox! Stoked you did a re-review on this base! Thank you!
I may do a more formal re-review in the future.
Oh dude, what awesome timing to end my day before another overnight shift.

Yeah, I just can't stand the driving in this map.
This map is the most fun driving. Use a jeep and learn when to back off the accelerator.
@@345cycle I love the map cause the bases but beginning it super rough cause lack of fuel
