I have actually experimented with lemon balm and it does repel mosquitoes. I soaked a ton of leaves in a light cooking oil in a mason jar and stuck it in a sunny window for about a week. You can change out with fresh lemon balm until the oil has a lemony scent. I rubbed some on one leg and sure enough, the mosquitoes only went for the untreated leg. 👍🏻

This is so helpful! My Grandad has given me a lemon balm plant propagated from my late Gran's herb garden and I'm desperate to make sure I keep it alive! Thank you for this video :)

How do i get them to germinate?

They should germinate well from seed if you surface sow and leave them uncovered or only lightly cover the seeds. Keep them watered and in 10 to 14 days.
