- Pedrito Martinez, New York's most vibrant Cuban conguero, leads his powerhouse band's folkloric grooves at The Exit Zero Jazz Festival. The event began in 2012 and occurs twice a year in Cape May, the quaint shore town on the most southern tip of New Jersey.

I used to listen to this alot when I was preparing for school. A great music to start a day. Even when Pandemic started, I still listen to this from time to time when I'm in stressed. What a really beautiful music.

I don't think so. I agree with the fact that only pianist and Conga ate Cubans. Pedrito plays Afro Cuban music so he needs almost all his musicians to be Cubans because only Cubans can play that afro rhythm to the core naturally the way is supposed to be play. I disagree that bass player is from Panama, to be a Timba bas player you need to be cuban otherwise you're playing something else.
@@yosoycubasi tell that to Barry Rogers , well you can't cause he's dead" but one of the greatest trombonistas in the history of this music- Jewish dude from Brooklyn. You don't have to be a Cuban to play cuban music any more than you have have to be black to play jazz. These parts of culture are shared bro. That is the beautiful thing about music!
