@@GrantMenner Mandurah is stunning, the Peel Inlet which is 2.5 times the size of Sydney Harbour and Lake Clifton with the Theombolites are amazing, an early start when the water is like glass and mirrors the sky, you can't beat it and while there have breakfast at Bouvard Winery with bird song and take home a couple of good bottles ❤️

Yes Rosemary I love the mix of old and new architecture. We have the new WA Museum opening soon. Which is a mix of very old architecture with band new modern built around and up and over the old.. can’t wait to go check it out. 😀. We are do lucky for our blue sky’s. 😃😃

A work colleague and I used autocad to draw the perth arena pipework you see at the front of the stadium....it was then cut using the programs on a pipe plasma cutting machine in our workshop.

Freshwater Bay, Sunrise heritage precinct, Blackwater reach cliffs, bicton baths, national and Hovea Falls in winter, Mount Henry bridge pedestrian walkway and reserve, Heathcote reserve and chidley Beach, bishop's road reserve Dalkeith, Point resolution reserve, rocky pools Kalamunda, Greenmount Lookout, melon Hill Swanbourne and lastly Riverton Bridge Park which is amazing for sunrises. @@GrantMenner I now live in Surfers Paradise after leaving Perth 8 years ago. I was in Perth last March, but didn't get into the city. Last time I walked around the CBD was three years ago and I can see in the video there are new additions I have yet to explore. Who knows when I will be back to see them.

@@GrantMenner I live in the US in Wisconsin. I was in Perth for work. I still remember where I lived. I lived on Mill Point Rd in South Perth in a condo overlooking the Swan River & the city skyline. It was great. I was also there when the West Coast Eagles won the grand championship.

Thanks Larry, yes there was a few Timelapses in this and I did edit it differently to the faster pace of the music. Can't complain much about the weather here since i live in a tropical island :D And as you might have heard lately, portugal hasn't been dealing well with the second wave of covid, but we're hoping for the best, glad you've been dealing well with it! The main reason i thought about moving is simply for the jobs/growth opportunities. Portugal isn't the best for professional and personal growth. Most of the youth study here (education is cheap and acessible for everyone) and eventually go to other countries. I've subscribed and i'll be checking more videos for sure!

It’s mainly just international arrivals now that go into quarantine that may be positive to Covid. oh wow.. design would be an amazing field to study. You could give me tips on interior design for my house. Haha.. Unfortunately I haven’t been to Portugal yet, but had a friend of a friend who was from Portugal and he always make it sound very beautiful. Tommy is cute. We have a cat too, Puska is his name.. and some fish, we have a big salt water aquarium with lots of live coral.. very hard to look after, the coral is so fussy with needing perfect water and light conditions.. I used to have a dog, but he passed away a few years ago.. hopeful to get another puppy now that we have a new house.

WA misconception, "You don't stop for people on crosswalks, run them over is best , but you MUST randomly stop on roads and wave people on kerbs to cross roads even though the pedestrians know the road rules and are waiting for you to just drive past and then cross. It's because you feel guilty about running over the last person on the crosswalk.

@@GrantMenner Mandurah is stunning, the Peel Inlet which is 2.5 times the size of Sydney Harbour and Lake Clifton with the Theombolites are amazing, an early start when the water is like glass and mirrors the sky, you can't beat it and while there have breakfast at Bouvard Winery with bird song and take home a couple of good bottles ❤️

Yes Rosemary I love the mix of old and new architecture. We have the new WA Museum opening soon. Which is a mix of very old architecture with band new modern built around and up and over the old.. can’t wait to go check it out. 😀. We are do lucky for our blue sky’s. 😃😃

A work colleague and I used autocad to draw the perth arena pipework you see at the front of the stadium....it was then cut using the programs on a pipe plasma cutting machine in our workshop.

@@GrantMenner I now live in Surfers Paradise after leaving Perth 8 years ago. I was in Perth last March, but didn't get into the city. Last time I walked around the CBD was three years ago and I can see in the video there are new additions I have yet to explore. Who knows when I will be back to see them.

Oh sorry to hear your visit to Perth was for a family funeral.. that would have been very hard.. hope you were able to still enjoy some of your time here. And I’m sure was still nice to see your brother and sister even under the circumstances. You must have noticed quite a few changes around Perth since your trips in the 80s and 90s.

Lived in Perth for 2 years back in the 90's. It was awesome. Looks like a lot has changed but I recognize many of these locations. I'd love to go back.

@@GrantMenner I live in the US in Wisconsin. I was in Perth for work. I still remember where I lived. I lived on Mill Point Rd in South Perth in a condo overlooking the Swan River & the city skyline. It was great. I was also there when the West Coast Eagles won the grand championship.

Thanks Larry, yes there was a few Timelapses in this and I did edit it differently to the faster pace of the music. I forgot at the time of editing that a lot of people watching may not be familiar with Perth and the areas I featured. Most of my other videos on the channel are a bit slower. Can't complain much about the weather here since i live in a tropical island :D And as you might have heard lately, portugal hasn't been dealing well with the second wave of covid, but we're hoping for the best, glad you've been dealing well with it! The main reason i thought about moving is simply for the jobs/growth opportunities. Portugal isn't the best for professional and personal growth. Most of the youth study here (education is cheap and acessible for everyone) and eventually go to other countries.
I've subscribed and i'll be checking more videos for sure!

It’s mainly just international arrivals now that go into quarantine that may be positive to Covid. oh wow.. design would be an amazing field to study. You could give me tips on interior design for my house. Haha.. Unfortunately I haven’t been to Portugal yet, but had a friend of a friend who was from Portugal and he always make it sound very beautiful. Tommy is cute. We have a cat too, Puska is his name.. and some fish, we have a big salt water aquarium with lots of live coral.. very hard to look after, the coral is so fussy with needing perfect water and light conditions.. I used to have a dog, but he passed away a few years ago.. hopeful to get another puppy now that we have a new house.

Scarborough beach...'If they're not on a crosswalk...mate, they'll wait, cause that's what they were taught in school'Like everyone else in the world. WA misconception, "You don't stop for people on crosswalks, run them over is best , but you MUST randomly stop on roads and wave people on kerbs to cross roads even though the pedestrians know the road rules and are waiting for you to just drive past and then cross. It's because you feel guilty about running over the last person on the crosswalk.
