Regarding the converters, Lamy has two types of converters, both of which have an old and a new version, but are essentially the same. It's really confusing for new-comers. Lamy Z28 (new) and Z24 (old) only fit the Safari (and similar pens, like Vista and AL-Star). These have a red turning handle and two plastic pieces on the body in order to fit the Safari's slots for this. Lamy Z27 (new) and Z26 (old) fits all Lamy converter pens (INCLUDING THE SAFARI). These have a black turning handle. There is essentially no reason for the Z28 and Z24 to exist. If anyone is wondering which converter to get: get the Z27 unless you only have a Safari and the Z28/24 is much, much cheaper.
Check out using a spark plug gap tool, can make nibs wetter by flossing the nib, gradually moving up in the thickness of the tool! Wonderful pen! Thanks for sharing!
Hey! Thank you for the video! I love this pen, and I'd like to buy it, but I'm not sure if the grip section is rubber or the same as the body finish on the pen. I don't like rubber parts, because over time they tend to disintegrate, and it makes the pen pretty much useless. Somewhere I've read that it's rubber, is it?

This is very helpful! Thank you!
Great video! This video influenced me to get the pen and I have no regrets!
Enjoy! It's a great pen.

I think the nib on this pen is different from the nib of Safari. It looks like the nib of LX model.
It's only a cosmetic difference. You can swap the nibs between the Safari, LX, and Studio models.
@@putteringpenman Where did you find those extra LX style nibs. They are PVD coated unlike the other Lamy black ones.

The grip section is the same material as the pen body and cap. I think it's a lacquered metal.
@@putteringpenman Thanks!
This all black pen with their black/gold nib for 100 bucks looks soo pretty.
Really like it a lot. I also got the Black Forest studio as well
Hi, question is it smooth ?
