This seems to be a common theme for pens with screw-in nib units - they often come screwed in very gingerly from the factory. I noticed this with my Pelikan M805. Didn't get nib dryout, leaking or anything, but ink was getting into the threads. If that dries... Anyway, after a little cleaning and tightening, no more wet threads.

The kaweco nib, feed and collar assembly can be a bit challenging. I also experienced burping, which turned out to be caused by the feed not being fully seated in the collar.

Is as scratchy as it sounds or its smoother?

I have over a dozen Parker T Ball Jotters. Some of them date back to the 60s that belonged to my parents. Love them for their compactness and their sleek design. Their oil based refill could be difficult at times but when Parker introduced their roller ball refill those really were a game changer.

It's an awesome pen, but counter to the reason that I carry a Classic Sport every day. I carry my Kaweco in my pants pocket because it's durable and has just enough flex in the body to not crack or break with a moderate amount of pressure. The aluminum is more durable, but the joints where the aluminum joins with the acrylic will put more pressure on the acrylic making it more susceptible to breaking. Add in a clip that is redundant when carrying in the bottom of a pants pocket, will just hook onto loose bills and other pocket items (say, the ring on my SAK), and it's a less ideal option for the way that I carry MY Classic Sport. But if I didn't carry in a pants pocket it would be a whole other story.

Some Hongdian cartridges and converters are compatible with Parker. I picked up half a dozen converters from AliEx for my vintage Parker '45' fountain pens

Hi, good review. Left traying reverse writting. I'm writting form Argentina and i want to tell you, here we have a jotter fountain pen which is plastic body (made in france too) but all the nibs are FINE. so you can lood after this version if you like the fine point. We don't have jotter's mediium nibs neither steel bodies. Greetings from Argentina.😃

For me personally, the combination of pen, nib, ink, and paper all affect the look of my handwriting. I can honestly say the "correct" combination is more important than a particular nib size. When i can write like you, I'll be satisfied. 😊
