The key would be two things; firstly you'd need your fitness bumping up to elite level BUT the most important thing would be if the players were "blind" to your abilities...for instance after a few minutes the other players would get sick of you losing it / missing chances etc but if that didn't happen, I agree if you played 90 mins for city every league game and took every pen and free kick you'd get a few goals
