I added black layers for extra immersion, like watching tv back then on 4:3 ratio. Also in the '80 and '90s live sports broadcasts there wasn't score on the screen all the time. The score was shown just a few times during the game, you really had to listen to commentary, so it also kinda adds to immersion.
This is awesome!!! If you can just make the audio more raspier this would be perfect!
