    so for the boundary conditions if the distances are different we would plug 5 for x1 and lets say 7 for x2 in the boundary condition equations

      An internal pin?you mean a hinge?... if that beam has a hinge will become unstable.... please look at the other examples with hinges.

    how to know the direction of the internal moment ? for the first section you draw anticlockwise, for the second one you draw clockwise.. please respond asap cuz i hav exam tomorrow
