I use compression on bass 100% of the time. Because I use slap stuff in everything and it evens out the transients

Hard to beat for the price, I guess. On bass, I think it sounded best with the Comp knob closer to 12 o clock position. . I use a Boss BC-1X on bass & it’s an “always on” pedal for me. That’s in a whole different price point so it’s not really fair to compare the 2. If it’s not too noisy, I think it’s a hard deal to beat if you wanna try out compression.

The problem with these pedals is the QC issues.. I had two out of three Dolamo pedals that were dead!!
Machining to the input output of the case on one was so off that it bent the circuit board and input jack that you couldn't plug into it. The other the 9v input was so off it grounded positive to the case.

I just ordered one of these. If I’m listening correctly, I would sum the pedal up with it really “cleans up” your sound. Correct?

if by cleans up your sound you mean adds a lot of noise, then yeah sure, it cleans up your sound (listen to how it brings up the noise floor and probably adds some self noise to, when it's clicked on @ 0:47).

I picked one up. On bass if I have it at 12 like you have it's a huge boost and mine is kinda noisy, did you run into any buzzing when on?

@@JustinEthnostate there are decent budget pedals out there. The Dolamos are kind of bottom shelf. I like the Behringer stuff, but they’re a little cheaply made. Joyo makes cool stuff. Some of the Donner stuff is alright too. And also CNZ Audio.

I wouldn’t recommend it. I also wouldn’t recommend compression at all on acoustic, unless your playing is inconsistent.
